Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Selling Sister

This was a very strange sight.

Inside the alley mouth shrouded by night, twelve tall and burly socialites stood obediently on the walls on both sides, while their leader was a green-haired girl only twelve or thirteen years old.

Whether it was her delicate, tender face or her cute, petite loli figure, the green-haired girl was far from fitting the identity of a gang leader, except for the overly mature, street-like smoky makeup on her face.

But looking at the green-haired girl, full of wild arrogance at the moment, Vincent's eyes flashed with a hint of unbearable pity.

The more powerful her status and position, the more it meant that the girl must have suffered a lot, and had to be stronger and more hardworking than her peers to survive until now without being bullied... "Hey, do you hear me? Do you want to be my subordinate..." Lorna was 'wall-kicking' Vincent face to face, but before she could finish, Vincent suddenly placed his hand on her head, gently stroking her green hair.

!!!

This scene stunned everyone present.

Especially the twelve tattooed and dyed-haired socialites, who couldn't help but widen their eyes in astonishment, many of them gasping in cold air and repeatedly muttering: "It's over, it's over, that kid is dead for sure!"

Lorna paused first, as if she hadn't reacted either.

Then, the girl suddenly slapped away the hand on her head, retracted her foot from the wall, took a step back, and coldly stared at Vincent: "What are you doing?"

"Uh, you have dust on your head..." Vincent naturally couldn't say it was his subconscious action, a heartfelt pity.

If he said it, he would definitely get beaten.

"Oh, so that's it." Hearing Vincent's explanation, Lorna nodded in realization.

All the socialites: "..."

Hey, hey, boss, you didn't actually believe him, did you?!

Familiar with Lorna's usual conduct, they chose to remain silent. Just now, if any of them dared to touch the girl's head like that, their entire arm would probably have been crippled by now!

Clearly, people were treated differently... Vincent didn't treat the girl as a gang leader. He said straightforwardly: "Sorry. I can't be your subordinate, nor do I have any intention to."

The hearts of the socialites tensed up again.

Unexpectedly, their boss, Lorna, didn't get angry; instead, she actively moved aside.

The green-haired girl leaned against a wall and casually waved her hand at Vincent and his group, who were surrounded, saying: "Since that's the case, then you all can leave."

"You're letting us go?" Vincent was a little surprised.

"If you don't leave, do you want me to treat you to a late-night snack?" Lorna snorted coldly.

"Boss!" The Bearded Man who had been beaten earlier saw that Lorna was really going to let Vincent and the two others go, and immediately became anxious, shouting unwillingly.

"Clear the way and let them leave here!" Lorna said coldly, immediately intimidating the crowd.

"Let's go."

Vincent held Gwen's and the silver-haired boy's hands respectively, cautiously walking towards the alley mouth. Under the deterrence of the green-haired girl Lorna, no one dared to make a move, only watching Vincent and his group walk out of the alley and disappear onto the street outside.

After Vincent and his group had gone far, inside the alley.

Lorna suddenly said coldly: "Who told you to snatch things? And hit a child?"

Splat!

The Bearded Man knelt on the ground, his face pale with panic, saying: "Boss, I was wrong, I shouldn't have..."

His words stopped abruptly.

As if an invisible large hand had firmly clasped his throat, the Bearded Man struggled, flailing his limbs, and his entire body floated upwards inch by inch, exactly like the scene when he had squeezed the silver-haired boy earlier!

Powerful supernatural forces were reviving and descending!

The other eleven people dared not speak, watching with chills down their spines as the Bearded Man lifted off the ground, floating two meters high in mid-air.

In the depths of the alley, green light shimmered.

Lorna's small body was still leaning against the wall, her green hair wildly flying on its own, and in her raised hands, materialized fluorescent green light and fire swirled and lingered!

Ten seconds later.

The Bearded Man lay sprawled in the alley like a dead dog, gasping for breath, tears, snot, and saliva flowing all over the ground.

"There won't be a next time." Lorna's childish yet icy voice rang out.

"Yes, Boss!"

Everyone quickly responded, drenched in cold sweat... Vincent, holding Gwen and the silver-haired boy, kept running quickly, until they ran out of the previous street and arrived at a relatively prosperous and lively area, only stopping when they confirmed no one was chasing them.

The crisis was finally over.

Vincent was about to say something when he saw the silver-haired boy looking at him with eyes full of longing, admiringly saying: "Big brother, you were really amazing just now! You knocked down that bad guy in just two moves!"

"Amazing what? I almost ended up there." Vincent gave a wry smile.

"Little kid, you're really something, daring to provoke such a big guy!" Gwen, in the manner of a big sister, reprimanded him.

"Hmph. It's because I ran too slowly, otherwise, he definitely wouldn't have caught me." The silver-haired boy was clearly unconvinced, saying indignantly: "And besides, who told him to snatch other people's things? I was just helping someone get their stuff back."

He pushed up his crooked goggles and smiled happily as he looked at the women's handbag.

"Not bad, when you grow up a bit, you'll definitely run faster than him." Gwen encouraged him.

"Of course!"

The silver-haired boy confidently patted his chest, then glanced at Vincent, suddenly remembering something and introducing himself: "Big brother, my name is Pietro Django Maximoff."

"Pietro, right?"

Vincent indicated that he knew, and stroked his fluffy silver hair: "It's already very late, you shouldn't be wandering around alone. Go home. I'll hand over the handbag to the local police station."

"Okay."

Pietro handed the women's handbag to Vincent, then suddenly pulled Vincent aside, secretly whispering as he slipped a piece of paper to him: "Big brother, I'll introduce you to my sister, she's definitely better than the one next to you..."

"This..." Vincent was stunned.

"Oh!"

Pietro suddenly cried out in pain; it was Gwen, walking up with a half-smile, pinching his ear and glaring, saying: "Little kid, what are you saying!"

"No, no, no, nothing!"

As Pietro spoke, he suddenly broke free from Gwen's hand and ran off down the street. Halfway, he didn't forget to turn back and wave, saying: "Big brother, remember! My sister is awesome!"

"Are kids nowadays all so precocious?!"

Gwen gnashed her teeth slightly, saying somewhat resentfully: "I knew I shouldn't have saved him!"

"He's just a kid." Vincent couldn't help but laugh, lowering his head to look at the piece of paper in his hand, which had a detailed address and phone number written on it.

Gwen inexplicably had an ominous premonition, just like when she first saw Kara, and couldn't help but say: "Vincent, you're not really planning to meet the sister he mentioned, are you?"

"How could I?"

Vincent shook his head and casually put the piece of paper Pietro gave him into his pocket.
