Chapter 492 - Chapter 492: Body Modification

Chapter 492: Body Modification

The Enhancement Chamber

Falling from the sky was a silver metal chamber, over three meters tall. The hatch opened, and wisps of cold mist flowed out. A faint green phantom appeared in the air—it was Five, the clone.

"Main Body!"

Luke acknowledged him. "Ready?"

"Ready to start anytime."

Luke patted Jiu's shoulder. "Take off your shirt and pants and lie down inside. It might hurt a bit later. You have to endure it, understand?"

The boy looked at the metal chamber, then at Linda beside him, his face full of confusion.

His inexperienced mind couldn't possibly grasp what this thing was, but he instinctively felt that something was wrong.

Linda said helplessly,

"Go on. It'll be good for you."

The boy hesitated for a moment, but finally, unwillingly, he took off his clothes and boots and stepped into the cultivation chamber. The hatch closed, and a progress bar appeared on the surface.

Linda asked doubtfully,

"Are you sure he's suitable?"

"His physical fitness is fine. He can handle the strengthening serum."

"But..."

The girl sighed. "After all, it's human modification. Even if we were going to do it, shouldn't we consult Master first?"

"The old man's opinion isn't important. I like this kid. I'll take him to Metropolis and have Dior train him. Also, find a chance to pass the Tiger Fiend Scripture on to him."

"You're crazy!"

Linda's eyes widened. "He can't control himself at all."

"Only pass on the first level of the technique. If he can manage it, we'll continue. If not, the first level should be enough."

"This boy is very useful to me. I'm going to turn him into an ancient martial arts master."

As he spoke, the progress bar reached 20%. A deep, suppressed groan came from inside the metal chamber. It was clear the boy was enduring excruciating pain.

Both Kryptonian technology and Apokoliptian technology possess human modification techniques. With surgery, an ordinary person can be transformed into an all-powerful super-soldier.

Luke wasn't very interested in this. His power came from his soul and Green Flame; the body was just a temporary dwelling for the soul. As long as it could bring pleasure and provide sensory stimulation, it was enough. There was no need to modify it beyond recognition.

The biotechnology within the metal chamber was only the shallowest level of modification, similar to the Captain America serum. As long as the physical condition was up to standard and one could endure the extreme pain, it could grant superhuman strength.

This increase in power was based on a multiplier of the original quality, roughly four to five times.

This meant that if successful, Jiu would gain roughly twice the strength of a top-tier heavy-weight boxer. Add his internal energy, and... well, Luke was suddenly looking forward to it.

He was curious about how the little guy would perform after coming out.

Time ticked by. The groans inside the metal chamber began to diminish, and the progress bar reached its end.

With a beep, the progress bar turned green, the hatch opened, and cold air spilled out, revealing a chiseled body where every muscle was close to perfection.

He had tight pectoral muscles, strong abdominal muscles, and well-defined arm and leg muscles. Flexing slightly, you could feel the explosive power.

The only slight drawback was his build. Jiu was only fifteen; his bones hadn't fully developed, and covering them with this armor of muscle gave a strange, disproportionate illusion.

"How is it? How do you feel?"

The boy was still shaken, seemingly not having recovered from the previous pain. After a long while, he said uncertainly,

"My arm feels like it was stabbed a few times, but there's no wound. That's strange."

Luke laughed heartily. He looked him up and down, growing more satisfied with what he saw. The simple-minded boy had surprisingly excellent physical talent.

"Come on, jump up! Let me see your change."

"Jump up high?"

"Yes, with all your might."

Jiu nodded, tensed his leg muscles, and suddenly pushed off.

Bang!

Like a cannonball, he flew straight into the sky.

The metal chamber was 3.3 meters high. Using that as a reference, his vertical leap was at least over four meters.

The boy was stunned too. Watching the ground get further and further away, he couldn't help but cry out, losing his balance and tumbling to the ground.

Linda was speechless.

"This kid is too silly."

Jiu picked himself up and nervously felt his body. After confirming he wasn't injured, he stared intently at his legs. Whether it was his imagination or not, he felt like his calf muscles had gotten bigger.

Once the enhancement was complete, the metal chamber lifted off and flew into the sky.

The three continued eastward. To help Jiu quickly adapt to his new body, Luke simply tossed him outside to run alongside the car. With his current physical condition, running at full speed, he wasn't far behind the car.

The Enhanced Feral Strike

The next day, the car stopped in a small city at the border between two provinces.

Luke found a hotel. After eating their fill, they continued their journey. Shortly after they left, Zuo Qiu and his men arrived.

"Senior Brother, what do we do?"

"Follow them. Deal with them outside the city."

The group got into their cars and rapidly pursued them in the direction Luke had vanished. The two groups drove one after the other, leaving the small city and heading into a sparsely populated wilderness.

Luke stopped the car and opened the door. Before he could speak, Jiu said immediately,

"The people behind us—do I still break both their legs?"

"What, can't wait?"

The boy nodded excitedly. He felt an incredible power surging through his limbs and was eager to try it out.

"Go ahead. Break their legs. Don't kill anyone."

"Don't worry, Brother! I will definitely break their legs."

Jiu confidently patted his chest, rushed out of the car, and strode toward the cars behind them.

Zuo Qiu said solemnly, "Is that him?"

The guide nodded.

"Excellent!"

Zuo Qiu said nothing more. He, along with his Junior Brothers and the rest of the thugs, surrounded the boy.

The opponent was only a fifteen-year-old boy, barely five feet six inches tall. On this side, they had over twenty men, all robust men around thirty years old who had practiced boxing techniques. No one thought they would lose this fight; no one even considered the possibility.

Zuo Qiu was even thinking about what tone to use when negotiating with Luke Shaw after the fight.

However, things are often strange.

Facing the massive group of burly men, the boy showed no fear. Instead, he opened his mouth in excitement, his eyes filled with fanaticism.

He exerted sudden force, charging forward at extreme speed. His shoulder dropped, sending a man weighing over ninety kilograms flying. At the same time, his right hand moved down and grabbed the opponent's knee.

Snap!

The sound of bone cracking came, followed by a pig-like shriek.

The boy was thrilled. He dropped to all fours, crawling on the ground like a fierce beast. His movements were bizarre, but his speed was terrifying. After dealing with the first man, he pounced on another, stomping hard on his calf with his right foot.

Crack!

The lower leg folded at a bizarre angle.

This sight struck the others like a heavy hammer.

"You're courting death!"

Zuo Qiu roared and rushed forward with his Junior Brothers.

Jiu ignored them. He was like a tiger charging into a flock of sheep. Wherever he went, the sound of snapping bones followed.

After the enhancement last night, his strength had reached a superhuman level. He could lift an eighty-kilogram strongman with one hand. His iron claws, which could tear through tree trunks, had become even more frightening. Whether bone or muscle, a simple touch from them meant a broken bone and a severed tendon.
