Chapter 670: Three-Dimensional Space!

The Ambush Fails: The End of Regeneration

The fighting on the battlefield had entered the crucial, do-or-die stage.

Five of the eight Death Gods, including Dom's allies, were already gone, leaving only three struggling to hold on. Though Dom was powerful, facing the siege of dozens of Human Gods, he couldn't help but look exhausted.

The opposing side was faring better; thanks to the magic array allowing them instant restoration, only thirteen of their members had died so far.

The tide was quickly turning in favor of the Human Gods. At this rate, the Death Gods would soon be wiped out, and Dom wouldn't be spared.

"Dom, today is your death day!"

A white energy vortex appeared in Hanyue's palm.

Bang!

With a thrust of her hand, a white light wave rushed forward. Dom brandished his scimitar. A cold flash passed, and the white wave disintegrated into countless particles. Suddenly, the sound of wind whispered in his ear. Dom's heart chilled, and he drew his blade to strike backward, but it was already too late.

A portal appeared in the air. A blue-glowing long sword shot out, stabbing into Dom's back.

The blade was lethally sharp, piercing straight through his body and drawing a huge amount of blood.

Dom roared, firing black light from his fingertips. It passed through the portal and struck the distant attacker. The attacker's body burst open with numerous wounds; his internal organs felt like they were ripping apart. He immediately abandoned his tentacle and flew toward the ground. However, the expected regeneration never happened.

Upon contact with the ground, the wound did not heal. Instead, it rapidly expanded. In just over ten seconds, he split into countless particles amid an unwilling roar.

This sight stunned the Death Gods, and the Human Gods were equally confused.

What happened? Why didn't he regenerate?

Dom acted decisively, cleaving out four black blades that hit four tentacles. The tentacles rapidly split, covered in dense cracks. The Human Gods at the tips rushed down, but nothing changed.

Four Gods died just like that, slain by Dom's single strike.

The truth struck the surviving Gods: the magic array—the one in the underground cavern—had failed.

Everyone's expression changed instantly. They abandoned their previous valor and retreated at full speed.

Dom burst into laughter.

"You are finished! Without the Blessing, how can your current bodies possibly be my match?"

He then chopped wildly, unleashing a dense array of black light blades. One Human God materialized an energy barrier to shield his comrades, but the others were not so lucky. They darted and wove in the air, trying to evade the blades. However, their bodies were tethered to the tentacles, giving them no room to dodge.

A wind of blood and gore swept through the air. Anything struck by the black light blades disintegrated into particles of flesh and blood. The carnage turned half the sky crimson.

Hanyue's eyes were bloodshot. She roared,

"Guzang (Ancient Tibetan Buddha), go underground! See what happened! Why has the magic array failed? The rest of you, attack with me! We must keep Dom here, even if it costs our lives!"

"Be careful," Guzang said, looking at his comrades. He turned and plunged underground. The rest immediately launched their attacks, different forms of energy converging on Dom from all directions.

Hanyue sang loudly, the melody resounding in Dom's ear, causing a momentary pause in his judgment. Though only half a second, it was enough.

Boom!

A dozen attacks simultaneously hit Dom. Multi-colored shockwaves carried devastating force, stirring up whirlwinds in the sky.

Dom coughed up blood, his body covered in wounds. He crashed heavily onto the ground like an iron drum struck by a high-speed train.

"Finish him!" Hanyue yelled. A white energy sphere appeared between her hands, air currents wailing around it. The others also unleashed their most powerful, ultimate moves.

Countless attacks merged, forming a giant column of energy flame—a colossal, mountain-sized force.

The flame plunged downward. Space severely distorted wherever it descended. The air, like burning fire, shimmered with visible, distorted ripples.

If this strike landed, the entire earth would be destroyed.

Trinity, Three-Dimensional Space

"You wretched humans!"

Dom wiped the congested blood from his mouth, his gaze fixed menacingly on the sky. His three eyes suddenly detached from his body, linking together to form a triangular barrier.

Flame, Frost, and Death!

Three energies circulated within, evolving into a world of void.

Trinity, Three-Dimensional Space!

This was the invincible ultimate technique of Pluto Dom. The sky-filling energy flame was sucked into the void space by the triangular barrier, then mysteriously condensed.

A singularity appeared in the sky. Accompanied by a light that sliced through the darkness, the heavens turned a blinding white.

Endless light waves erupted, madly destroying everything in their path. Over a dozen Human Gods died instantly, scattering into dust in the sky.

Hanyue stared blankly. A comrade rushed up and forcefully shoved her away. The next second, she saw her comrade swallowed by the light wave.

This single blow annihilated half of the remaining Human Gods. It also unleashed destructive power that demolished the folding space covering this area.

When the light dissipated, everyone returned to the original Plain of White Bones.

The ambush had failed, and the price was unimaginably heavy. Hanyue looked around in disbelief. Everything in sight was ruined. The carefully cultivated bone flowers were gone, replaced by a bottomless, circular crater.

Her companions were dead or crippled, with virtually no ability left to fight.

The two remaining Death Gods on the Underworld side had also turned to ash in the light wave. Only Dom, the ancient God of the Underworld, the legendary powerhouse who had lived for over a million years, survived.

His three eyes, separated from his body, formed a triangular shield that guarded him.

His body had also undergone a transformation: his hands were fused with his scimitars, and mass amounts of bone spurs had grown on his skin. He had now completely abandoned his human form, becoming an outright monster.

"Gods are categorized. Only a handful of human Gods—Zeus, the Lord of the Celestial Court, and Ra—could ever contend with me. This is the power that time brings."

"Hanyue, you have only lived for a few thousand years. How could you ever understand this principle?"

Dom ascended to the sky like a victor, looking down at everyone below.

"That war in the past was a mistake! As the Death God of the Underworld, I must abide by the rules and fulfill my duty. Death Gods are not permitted to stay in the mortal world. Unfortunately, the other creatures of the Underworld didn't think so. They coveted the life force of the mortal world, seeking power from it. And you... the Human Gods living in a beautiful world also harbored malicious intentions."

"The Underworld is poor in resources and harsh in natural conditions, lacking only one thing: ore and super-metals containing magical properties. These super-metals are essential for forging artifacts..." He shook his head regretfully.

"All these factors created a flawed battlefield. The Underworld's divine system was destroyed, leaving the vengeful spirits and ghosts nowhere to go, and human civilization also suffered a devastating blow."

"Fortunately, the matter is past. The Underworld has returned to its original path, and Earth's civilization is also beginning to recover."

"I don't understand why you, as the departed, would emerge now. Is there any meaning to this?"
