Year 12 of the Revelation
It had been 12 years since God gave me knowledge. With that knowledge, I have helped my tribe grow in number and strength. We took in two other groups, and with the ample food supply, the younglings also grew up much faster.
Now, we have 53 Jerries; with 6 of them being younglings. Of the remaining 47, 21 are males, and the rest are females. I was able to reach my hunting tactics to Took, who had been the leader of one of the other two groups that joined us. With the two of us taking the lead, I was able to split the 23 hunters; including 3 females of strong build and instinct and excluding one weaker male, into two hunting groups, who would go to hunt on alternative days.
The hunting was no longer for killing, as we no longer need the meat. Instead, he spend our time taking much longer and setting up traps to capture the creatures alive. From the knowledge I had gained, breeding the children of the same creatures with each other could result in horribly disfigured creatures that might not be healthy and might not grow to full maturity.
But this also leaves the hunting groups with lots of time on the days they are not going hunting. With the knowledge I had, I helped give ideas for building houses that would give protection not just from the wind, but also from the rain and cold, as well as from the creatures of the night.
The 54 of us has built a small… what was the word… 'village' near a river. The location was chosen as we still needed to drink water every now and then, especially when we consumed food. Our younglings were most in need of water, as their accelerated growth could not be kept up with just absorbing the power of the sun even if they were kept out in the open all day.
I have found myself a mate. I care for her, just as she for me. It is a strange feeling. God gave me a word for this… Love. I'm not quite sure I understand what it means yet… but perhaps… that is exactly what it means.
She is the light I did not know I needed, just like the everlasting sun than cannot be extinguished even in the void beyond the waters of afar, returning just as bright the next day. I could fill this entire tablet with just praises about her, but I must refrain.
For I bring troubling information. Recently, we have noticed tracks of a larger breast of the night. We do not know what it is or how large it is, but we know it has been breaking into the holding pens of our 'lideer,' which we have been breeding for years now.
We have already lost 12 lideer to the beast, and we have yet to catch it in the act. I have thought long and hard for the past few days, and have decided we will follow the trail of the creature for as long as it goes until he find its lair, and destroy it.
We shall set forth just as the first ray of sun hits the land, leaving behind half the hunting group for the protection of the village. I have written these records for the next leader of the village, in case I do not end up returning alive, or am unable to hold my position thereafter.
These records; I began writing them almost 4 years after I received the revelation from God, and I have been writing all the little bits of information I could remember whenever I could remember. By the 10th year since the revelation, I was able to put in almost all the words and notions fit into my mind, and since then, it had only been a yearly update as a sort of ritual.
What I do know is that recording information is crucial to the survival of us Jerries, of our little civilisation we have formed at the riverbank.
To my future generations, I know it may take you a long time to understand all the words I have inscribed into these stones tablets, but I beseech you to create records of your own to pass down to your younglings when they grow up. I cannot see the younglings a few generations down living in darkness and hunger.

-Ook
…
"Come! Hunt! Night- Creature!" Ook waved the stone spear in his hand, and the rest of the hunting group under him also waved their sticks, before turning back to their loved ones or families, and touched their bald heads while in an embrace as a form of bond and connection.
"Hunt!"
"Hunt!"
After the brief goodbye, the group took off. Even Ook's mate, who had a sizable bulge in her stomach smiled as her mate went off to search and hunt down the night creature that was eating their livestock.
…
James watched how in but a short while, 12 years had passed on the planet. Although, this was far longer than how fast time was passing before, it still felt like only a little while.
'Perhaps my sense of time is getting more and more distorted…'
James sighed, but he did not pay much attention to the night creature Ook and his village were worried about. After all, although he had not seen it, he knew that even a small creature the size of a small dog could take down one of the lizard-deer hybrids.
Plus, the gravity, atmospheric density, and oxygen saturation greatly limited the size of the creatures that could evolve. At least on the surface of the planet, most creatures would never be able to grow to the size of the Jerries he had created. To create these creatures, he needed to supplement them with many important traits, including the radiation absorption and conversion ability which took care of nutrition at their size.
For another creature to grow this large, it would also need a lot of similar traits or talents, which was highly unlikely.
'…What the h*ll is even that thing!' James cursed only a moment after having this thought.
