Lara's POV
"Are you ready?" Marco asked.
I looked up at him with a quizzical expression, still trying to make sense of the sudden shift in his tone.
"You want me to cook for you?" I asked cautiously.
He laughed, a low sound that caught me off guard. It was relaxed, almost playful, and it did something dangerous to my chest.
"No," he said, still amused. "I will be cooking for you. After we are done, you will be too tired and sore to do anything else, Lara."
My brows knit together as I processed his words. "You mean we are starting my training right now?"
"Yes," he replied easily. "You should change into something comfortable. I suggest tights and running shoes."
I let out a slow breath and leaned back into the sofa, suddenly feeling the weight of the day settle into my bones. "Can we do it tomorrow instead?" I asked, half hopeful, half already knowing the answer.
Before I could react, Marco took my hands and pulled me up with him.
