Ellen sighed in acceptance of Hirune's request, "There's a home not that far off the coast rumored to have a secret underground bunker that has lots of clues for many different things similar as to what you've asked about. Usually, I wouldn't agree to something like this, after all the more answers you gain for mysteries like the ones you asked about, the crazier you tend to go." She sat up straighter in her chair and let out a low moan enjoying the massage, "A little lower please. But as I was saying, you have a point. It also seems like you really care about the safety of those around you, not just that but you're right. I'm also very curious about those sorts of mysteries and deeply want answers to them. So, you've managed to get your way this time."
Hirune moved her hands a little lower as Ellen requested. This was just what she needed, a way to learn about this new world around her. Not just that but this method was faster than asking Ellen for her cryptic responses. Sure, she still felt terrible about manipulating Ellens decision, but she promised herself she'd make it up to her eventually somehow. "So, where's this home you speak of?" She asked letting go of the puppeteering wisp in her voice. "It's down, further down than our current location. Southeast of here. It's a little difficult reach though considering it's on one of the Triplets of Red Peaks." Hirune thought hard for a moment. Triplets of Red Peaks sounded familiar, she just couldn't quite place her finger on it. She heard the townspeople whispering about something like that once and how they visited with family that ended up disappearing on them. The townspeople also talked about how the peaks are a little offshore, in the direction where a bunch of shipwrecks happen. Then she thought, 'Maybe it'd be safer with Kala? She is a shark girl, so she's probably used to dealing with anything weird in the sea.' "Hey, maybe we could bring our resident shark bait with us?" She turned her head as she touched her left hand to signal her to stop massaging her shoulders. "I thought you and Kala's rocky relationship wouldn't allow you to even consider her coming along." She looked at her with an eyebrow raised, the left side of her lips also slightly lifted in annoyance, "You sent her down to the basement with me. I didn't deny her then, did I? So why would I deny her now?" Ellen nodded, "Good point," She sighed as she stood up, "Well, pack up a couple of things. There're harpoons under the minibar counter. Grab 3 and bring them to me before we depart."
Hirune nodded as she walked away, surprisingly not to the minibar counter or anything, but back into the basement. She planned on grabbing a couple books and reading them before their departure. Then when she went down there, she realized none of the bookshelves were labeled. For such a fancy basement she expected it to have some sort of way to properly organize things, but either way she still wanted to learn at least something. She looked around, reading the spine of each book she came across to see if any of them were to signalize a specific form of organization or a section in the shelves that told her what the books in that rough area were about. But nope, there was nothing, she sighed and looked up at the clock, she didn't want to hold Ellen up too long, so she walked back up the stairs, her hand sliding on the wall as she did, then suddenly something pressed down slightly. She stopped on the exact step and stared at the wall. She pushed on it a little harder and it opened up to this hallway that was illuminated by lots of red and golden lights. She looked up and down the stairs, maybe another hour or so wouldn't be so bad. Afterall it was still the middle of the day.
She walked down the ethereal hallway, the found herself in a room with lots of ancient and dusty looking manuscript that seemed to stretch infinitely upwards and downwards, there being many ladders that went up and down to give full access to this ancient scripture. She then looked at it a little closer, it was ancient in age but still used today. Too bad for her, she couldn't make out most of the writing, only a little because Ellen taught her a little bit of it on the car ride back. The language was Verachian, it was the only universal language on the planet. Yet only important personnel were taught this language. Luckily for her Ellen knew it for some secret reason and she was teaching it to her. The others already knew it, so they'd either give her tips or tease her whenever she tried to speak it and pronounced something wrong. She already roughly knew the alphabet, so she could translate a small amount of it, but she was struggling. The only phrases she could make out in the writing being, 'Mother of Curses,' 'Devourer of Fate,' 'Void of Genuineness, and something about truths. Which were all pretty peculiar, making her question what the section she was reading could be about. She stayed there a little longer trying to decipher some more but inevitably left it for later when she knew better Verachian.
She went back upstairs and behind the minibar counter picking up the harpoons Ellen told her about. The harpoons we're black, yet they had extremely spiky shots. She holds them in her arms and goes up the other staircases and through the front entrance. She looks left and right, taking in the surroundings of this tropical forest within a ravine, yet Ellen is nowhere to be seen, instead, there's a note on a tree that read, 'Go southeast of here and eventually you'll spot the Triplet Red peaks. I'll be waiting for you on a motorboat near the beach with Kala and Tundra. -Ellen Chronologia'
Tundra? She certainly wasn't complaining but why? Was it due to his ice powers? Sure, they'd be useful in the ocean, but couldn't he accidently freeze the boat in place? She sighed and shook her head in confuzzled frustration.
She tore the note from the tree and put it in her pocket. She thought of stopping by her home to grab a sundress or a bikini, but it wasn't a vacation, so she shook her head getting rid of that thought. She started walking down the dirt path again, it was certainly weird, but she didn't know why. She was getting the same dirty looks, and she was looking at the same scenery as always, yet it felt nicer than usual. Was it from being away for a day? After all she'd never been outside of Triste before, or was it because she was actually going somewhere to see people that cared about her? She shook her head again, a mix of a grimace and cheer on her face, as she pondered what this weird feeling was, and why she was so excited to go somewhere. Almost as if she actually wants to go, unlike any other time she had to go somewhere where she was forcefully polite and joyous, she legitimately felt like that this time.
She smiled joyously, her eyes shining mildly watery, she couldn't help but feel glad that she'd finally found a niche group of people that would accept her.
Eventually she walked on the shore, the orange shaded ocean swooping in and out, feeling it's warmth on her feet. Looking out into the ocean, she saw this orange tint concealed the deep red shades of blood in the rest of the ocean. When she looked up ahead of her, she saw Ellen, Kala and Tundra. She started going a little faster and clutched the harpoons to her chest with her right hand and waved at them enthusiastically with her left, reaching an average running speed.
They all looked at her direction and gave her a little wave, not as enthusiastically but it was better than nothing. She slowed down as she was at arm's length away from them, "I brought the harpoons," she said as she held them in front of her with both arms. "Thanks, glad you remembered. But what took you so long?"
She stared at her, she should probably tell her about the secret room she found, but then she probably wouldn't be able to decipher the writings due to Ellen most likely saying something around the lines of 'You're not ready for this yet,' or 'But well talk about it later.' She thought for a moment, then just told her about her searching for books but with a slight twist, "I was looking for books on Namulenza but the books weren't ordered properly. So, for an hour I tried to organize them, then when I realized how long I was taking took another hour to put the books back." She said with a thoughtful smile. "Well, we appreciate the attempt. Anyways, hop into the boat. This rides sure to be bumpy."
They all hopped into the boat, The boat was medium in size, the only actual seat being the driver's seat. There being a remotely made seat in the middle that could be opened up to reveal the engine. It was common for the few times sea creatures were spotted they'd bite the hood, so for safety and utility the engines are always placed within the area of the boat that holds the passengers. Luckily the boat has side railings that they can hold onto while standing so they won't fall out.
Tundra was driving, as the boat started Hirune's back hit the engine fast as she fell from the sudden speed of it. As she stood up, she held into the railing with her disheveled left hand and rubbed her back with the other, then she felt a sudden sharp pain in her left hand as her muscles retracted around the bones. She instantly shrieked and sat back down near the engine grasping her hand. She looked at it and saw it was soaked in ocean water as it felt like it was burning horribly. She slowly calmed down and heard Kala laughing hysterically and Ellen sighing.
Then suddenly what looked like an eel with spines shredding it's back open and frontal legs hopped onto the boat in front of Kala, and she shrieked in terror. Now Hirune was the one laughing. But it was cut short when she saw another of that same eel but the size of a skyscraper slowly rising out of the water, it's terrifying facial expression of vexation and indignation only noticeable when it roared at them causing all of the bloodied sea water to fly out of its face.
