Chapter 27 - C27

After finishing the final hand seal, Yoruha's eyes flashed with a faint gleam.

"Lightning Release: Chidori!"

Crackle—Bang—Rumble!

The instant Yoruha unleashed his attack, it was as if a meteor had collided with the earth. The surrounding hundreds of meters shook violently, and at the center of the explosion, blinding light illuminated the landscape for several kilometers around, turning night into day.

Countless golden bolts of lightning connected heaven and earth. Within several hundred meters around Yoruha, it looked as though a sea of thunder had descended.

The destructive power was apocalyptic—terrifying beyond words.

The storm of lightning continued for a full ten seconds.

In that brief time, the entire back mountain of Konoha looked as though it had been struck by a concentrated Tailed Beast Bomb—earth shaking, mountains collapsing, and everything within several hundred meters of Yoruha's technique completely obliterated.

Too horrifying.

When the thunder finally dispersed, only a massive crater remained—hundreds of meters wide and dozens of meters deep.

At the center of it, Yoruha lay unconscious.

A few seconds later, Kakashi appeared beside him. Without hesitation, he picked Yoruha up and vanished from the scene.

If they didn't leave now, Yoruha would end up spending the night in a cell.

About a minute later, several masked shinobi appeared around the crater—members of the ANBU.

The disturbance was massive—no less than the explosion of a Tailed Beast Bomb.

The ANBU stared at the gaping crater before them, all drawing in sharp breaths.

"Wh—Who could've done this?"

"Don't tell me... the Nine-Tails broke its seal?"

Such devastation—only a Tailed Beast could cause this kind of destruction.

Even the Third Hokage himself couldn't have created something this catastrophic.

"Could it be an outside enemy invasion?"

That idea was quickly denied.

"There's been no reaction from the barrier. No matter how powerful the intruder, it's impossible to enter without triggering it."

"Then it must be someone from the village... most likely the Nine-Tails."

"Could the jinchūriki have lost control?"

In an instant, their suspicion turned toward Naruto.

After all, within Konoha, only he—or rather, the Nine-Tails within him—could unleash such destruction.

"Report to Lord Hokage immediately."

The ANBU vanished from the crater in a blink.

By now, it was deep into the night. Across the rooftops of the village, shinobi were darting about.

The disturbance Yoruha had caused was simply too great—no different from the chaos caused by the Nine-Tails' rampage years ago.

Elsewhere, Kakashi had already brought Yoruha back home and immediately made his way to the Hokage Building.

As one of Konoha's elite jōnin, if he didn't show up, he'd be the first person suspected.

On his way there, Kakashi's expression was grim.

"What was that power coming from Yoruha's body?"

"It was terrifying... even more terrifying than the Nine-Tails' chakra inside Naruto."

Kakashi was deeply worried. Yoruha still hadn't regained consciousness.

But what unsettled him even more was the unknown force within that boy.

It didn't look like the chakra of a Tailed Beast—but the arcs of lightning Yoruha released seemed almost alive.

And their power was monstrous. Yoruha clearly didn't have that much chakra, yet he unleashed an immense amount in that instant.

Kakashi knew that the power Yoruha had just displayed—apart from a Tailed Beast Bomb—was beyond the capability of any known ninjutsu.

That was power capable of reshaping the land itself.

He still didn't understand the true might of Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama—their power was far beyond the imagination of modern shinobi.

Even Kakashi couldn't comprehend how terrifying those two had been.

But even if those two legends had witnessed what Yoruha did tonight, they too would have been shocked.

After all, Yoruha was only thirteen years old.

And the energy he had released—was pure natural energy in high concentration.

That's right—the power Yoruha had unleashed was high-density natural energy.

The reason for such devastating destruction was because it had not been properly converted into Senjutsu Chakra—wild and uncontrollable by nature.

Yet in Yoruha's case, the natural energy he released was somehow controlled.

Had it truly been uncontrollable, his body would've been disintegrated into ash the instant he unleashed it.

But in that same instant, a powerful layer of natural energy had formed around him like a protective shield.

That shield seemed almost sentient—it consciously protected Yoruha from being consumed by the very thunder he created.

Even so, the act drained every last drop of his strength, leaving him unconscious.

In truth, Yoruha's attempt had failed.

He hadn't properly controlled his chakra, causing all the natural energy within him to surge out wildly, triggering a massive reaction with the natural energy in the surrounding environment.

His own chakra reserves alone could never have caused that much destruction.

The cause was simple—his excess output of natural energy had disturbed the balance of the nature energy around him.

Kakashi, of course, didn't know this.

He thought Yoruha was harboring some unknown power inside him.

He also knew Yoruha's chakra was similar to Jiraiya's Sage Mode—infused with natural energy.

After thinking for a moment, Kakashi muttered,

"Perhaps Yoruha was born with the ability to use Senjutsu Chakra... The power of Senjutsu Chakra far surpasses ordinary chakra. Maybe that's why, when he released it, it caused such a phenomenon."

It was the best explanation he could come up with.

But in truth, even if all of Yoruha's chakra had been Senjutsu Chakra, he still couldn't have produced such destructive force.

Not even Jiraiya himself could have done it—nor could Yoruha, under normal circumstances.

Soon, Kakashi reached the rooftop of the Hokage Building.

Dozens of high-ranking shinobi were already gathered there, all of them at least tokubetsu jōnin level.

When Kakashi arrived, Guy immediately approached him, his expression grave.

Even he was shaken by that terrifying surge of power—it was not inferior to the might of a Tailed Beast.

"Kakashi, what do you think it was?" Guy asked the moment he saw him.

Kakashi hesitated. Should he tell the Third Hokage about Yoruha's situation?

He didn't know yet if the power inside Yoruha posed any threat to the village.

But when he recalled his earlier conversation with Yoruha that night, he decided to keep it secret—for now.

After all, he'd watched over Naruto, the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails.

He believed he could watch over Yoruha too.

Moreover, Yoruha was far more stable than Naruto had ever been.

"It's highly possible that it was a powerful intruder," Kakashi said.

Guy shook his head. "I don't think so. The village barrier didn't react at all.

And if a powerful enemy had infiltrated the village, why didn't they attack?"
