I looked as a finger was pointed at me. I don't recall myself getting involved into this conversation, seeing how a finger was facing me, I was involved in it one way or another.
I looked at them and sighed, 2 psychopaths in a room wasn't a good idea. As I got up, about to seperate them, Aiko walked out of the space, before she leave and re-enter the main events, the game, she gave me a sharp glare as if she was warning me for something.
Now it was only me and Riyu, once again. I sat back down, let's take this professionally this time. In a world like this, the stronger person was the one that held more power, control and ranking. It worked like the old world we were in, yet, it is different.
If he held an important role and had control over most of the actors within Ganseok station, I'll just treat him like how I do with important people. As the boy sat down again, he smiled and began his well prepared speech.
"Apologies, you shouldn't have seen us fighting like that."
For a young troublemaker like him, he was quite extraordinary. He was probably on his way home from school when it all happened, poor kid, he could've lived a better life.
"That's fine, continue with whatever you wanted to talk about."
"I've expected as much from you, Gyungho."
I looked as the room around us shifts, seems like the skill shapeshifting that kid has could be used on other things, not just his shape…
"It only works in small places, I've only learnt this recently, you see."
I nodded, looking around. The bedroom looking space we were in was now something more familiar…
Books and pens yet something felt off about it. It looked like an exact replica of the dream Aiko gave me, I know and see it very well but All-seeing eye is telling me it's not what I've seen before.
"We're in your dream. A space created by your imagination and what you desire."
He stood up, checking the place out in excitement, he looked as if it was his first time going into a space like this. I stood up as well, crossing my arms and looked over at him. He was fairly young, it would be a shame to lose someone like him. He held alot of power in his hand and he's someone who knows how to control them.
"This is quite the amusement, seems like you're an author."
"I was going to start my first day of work at a novel company until these events came."
The happy boy looked at me and smirked, I shrugged, brushing it off. Now to think about it, the day I signed the contracts was also the same day that all these events happened.
I shook my head, all of these people and the absurd games must be getting to my head, how could a novel company end the world? It might've just been a coincidence, either way, what happened had already happened, I can't rewrite the past.
I looked back at Riyu who was still wandering around my space, checking the books and splattered ink. He was curious about everything in the space.
Everything about me was amusing to the young boy, I felt like some animal being studied. I sighed, how did they manage to pick someone like the twins to be the wolves? They seems like the average teenagers to me…
A novelist, a troublemaker and a whole world of fantasy written by the novelist… I looked around, last time when I was here, I didn't have time to inspect things since I was busy battling for my life…
The scenery wasn't too bad, It looked pretty nice. The area was filled with items I could possibly need for the novel that I used to write.
As the both of us embraced the world in silence, learning more about what was in it, Riyu voice spoke up, breaking the quietness of the space.
I looked over at the kid. He was picking up one of the books on the bookshelf as he began to talk.
"Wolves have 2 more rule that sheeps doesn't."
The kid stopped, opening the book he was holding. I looked over and spoke.
"And that is?"
Riyu stood still, taking a deep breath. I know I haven't known him for that long, but that face? I know what was coming, perhaps some terrible news.
"1. Wolves have a week to end all sheeps otherwise they'll pay the penalty, 2. By the 4th day if the week, if the wolf doesn't manage to get rid of atleast half of the herd, the transformation will take place as help."
I looked as the kid turned around, in his hands were the choices only he and Aiko can make. The choice of selfishly surviving or dying for the sake of others.
"I don't have a choice but to kill, it was either me or them."
Riyu smiled, I can see fear within him. Even the strongest man had his weaknesses. I looked at him, turning around to see the exit door.
"It was fun, hopefully we'll be able to find a way for you to survive as well."
The kid looked at me, his face teary. I smiled at him and waved goodbye. As I was on my way out, a sharp metallic rod came my way, piercing a deep hole into the space.
I looked back at him, my face filled with shock, on the other hand Riyu had a sly smile spread across his face replacing the sad tears he had. His sharp gaze glaring at me then at the metal rod.
"Who said you could leave?"
I grinded my teeth as he smirked. I knew he was a psycho. It was dumb to expect such a thing from him, the boy was different from all the actors out there.
He was not vulnerable in the slightest. It's possible he's holding the most power here. Crocodile tears from a person so high and mighty... I fell for a jester's trick.
As I was about to reach for my sword, I could feel something warm dripping down from my shoulder. I looked down, my eyes widened in shock, blood was gushing out from my shoulder yet I felt no pain.
When I looked back up again, the kid was gone. I stood there in confusion. Letting down my guard right now will definitely give me a one way ticket to the land of death, I can't back down or leave either.
"You see… I designed this area to be more like a little playground."
A whisper came from behind my back. I looked behind me to see where the sound came from, trying to identify his location.
"This is my first time seeing someone so interesting…"
"Damn you, troublemaker."
I should've expected this, the kid was a wolf, there were no chance they'd pick some random person to have this role. I took out my sword, whining from the slight pain that came from my shoulder.
"Spirits are connected to their space. It's like their mental state, you know."
I looked at him, a bit confused. Spirts are connected to their space? I shook my head, holding my sword tightly incase he attacks.
The kid stopped for a bit, throwing another sharpened metallic rod at me. I dashed away, luckily dodging the attack. I look down at my bag of items. I had 2 heal potions left…
I took out one of the heal potions I've bought, opened the bottle and drank it. As the liquid began gushing down my throat, I could feel my pain quickly lessened, the deep wound that came from nowhere was a bit better.
I looked as the rod landed at the exit door, breaking it into pieces. He cut off the link between this room and the actual events happening outside. As I was about to charge at Riyu, a feeling of warm liquid soaking my clothes stopped me.
"What the hell?"
I let out a quiet whisper, looking down. My thigh was severely injured, the blood was pouring out from the deep cut that magically appeared somehow. Riyu definitely missed the attack… Is this another ability that he posses? Could it be something Aiko has?
I never got to learn the girl's full power but I know one thing for sure. Riyu was going to the the person that will teach me about the both of them. I grinded my teeth, glaring at the jester who was laughing at the sight of me.
"I thought you were smarter than this, Gyungho."
He stopped for a but, shrugging before he continued with the sentence.
"Gyungho, I don't need to fight you to win. All I need to do is rip down this replica of your mental state."
My eyes widened, is this why he was looking around? I shook my head, I had to get out of here. I have no idea how he found out about my space, mental state or whatever it is to him and Aiko.
"You and your sister really are amazing…"
They were both intelligent and adapted extremely well. Too bad I can't keep them alive. I looked at the last potion in my bag, I'll save it for later.
I got to teach this wild dog a lesson first. Riyu seems to know what I was thinking, summoning weapons out of thin air. I wasn't wrong about those 2 being amazing.
The skill Riyu held was almost identical to Aiko's abilities. If I fight him, maybe I'll be able to prepare for Aiko as well.
"Prepare yourself for a feast."
He stopped for a second, the kid I was looking at was. He chuckled slightly, aiming the blades at me then began talking.
"The treat's on me."
「All-seeing eye activated!」
「Left shoulder, right leg, Abdomen」
My mouth gaping, I could feel the blood from my body getting sucked out. The kid was trying to end me with a one shot skill.
It's a waste I can't keep him alive.
