Chapter 263 - Chapter 263: Reversal

Standing on the earth scorched dry by Fiendfyre, Hermione repeatedly waved the wand in her hand.

With every spell she cast, a dark wizard would be sent flying helter-skelter by a Reductor Curse or a Blasting Curse.

Having suddenly encountered such great danger, the young witch was clearly casting her spells with a trace of fury.

Otherwise, under normal circumstances, she would absolutely never use spells that could cause such severe harm against other people.

Under her flawless cover, every single enemy who wanted to take advantage of Kyle being locked in combat with others to launch a sneak attack was preemptively dealt with by the young witch.

Unable to launch sneak attacks, the remaining people were forced to confront Kyle in head-on combat.

A torrent of bewitching flame erupted from the tip of a wand. Under the wand owner's frantic infusion of magical energy, the flame expanded at a speed visible to the naked eye, quickly transforming from the size of a palm into a giant fire python over twenty meters long.

With a fire serpent of such a size, the wizard's control over it had already reached its absolute limit.

His hands, shaking uncontrollably due to exhaustion, violently shoved forward.

Instantly, a wild gale whipped up through the woods, and the incomparably massive flame python lunged fiercely toward Kyle.

Playing with Fiendfyre in front of the president of Europe's largest gas supply company?

This guy must have lost his mind.

A cold smile played at the corners of Kyle's lips. Having previously transformed into lightning, he came to a halt, standing completely still where he was, facing the lunging fire python without offering any resistance.

The Fiendfyre, burning at several thousand degrees, enveloped Kyle just like that. Yet bizarrely, Kyle inside the flames did not sustain any damage whatsoever; even his clothes weren't singed in the slightest.

A streak of eerie blue, like a drop of ink falling into pristine water, diffused outward within the flames.

In the blink of an eye, the orange-yellow flames were tainted into Kyle's color. Several magical beasts composed of pure Fiendfyre flew out from the flames, lunging directly at the wizard who had just cast the Fiendfyre Curse.

In order to cast that Fiendfyre Curse just now, his magic had already been completely drained. Facing the oncoming Fiendfyre beasts, he couldn't even resist for half a second.

Without even a scream, he was turned into flying ash just like that.

Watching Kyle stand amidst the encirclement of Fiendfyre like a deity commanding fire itself, the dark wizards couldn't help but inwardly curse their brain-dead teammate.

Originally, they had expended an immense amount of effort just to extinguish the Fiendfyre Curse that the Deva Path had cast.

As it turned out, this brain-dead teammate had actually lit the gas stove for the enemy all over again?

While they were fiercely cursing their brain-dead teammate, Kyle had no intention of halting his offensive in the slightest.

Swinging his sword, the surrounding Fiendfyre seemed to possess a life of its own, lunging violently in the direction Fengqiuhuang pointed, surging forward to engulf all the enemies along the path.

Behind their masks, the expressions on the dark wizards' faces were filled with utter terror.

What kind of monster had they provoked?

"Grab that girl!"

If they couldn't deal with Kyle, could it be that they couldn't even handle Hermione—a mere third-year student?

As it turned out, they really couldn't handle her either.

The Asura Path wore a suit of silver-glowing armor, like a loyal guardian knight, silently raising his sword and shield to block the spells for Hermione that she couldn't fend off herself.

With the Asura Path helping her defend, Hermione didn't need to care about their attacks at all, let alone cast Shield Charms.

She only needed to continuously lock onto a target, fire a spell, switch targets, and fire a spell again.

"Reducto!"

"Confringo!"

In the air above Hermione and the Asura Path, the Deva Path floated at a height of over ten meters under the effect of a Hover Charm, his gaze freezing cold as he stared down at the enemies fleeing in all directions.

He raised his arm, his palm opening as he aimed at an unlucky soul below—

"Universal Pull!"

An invisible gravitational force enveloped the wizard locked on by the Deva Path, violently dragging him over.

The Deva Path's eyes narrowed. "Almighty Push!"

With a lift of his hand, the Deva Path converted the gravitational force into a repulsive force, blasting away the wizard who was flying toward him via Universal Pull. The wizard traced a graceful parabola through the air, ultimately crashing into the Fiendfyre swirling around Kyle in the distance.

The battle before them no longer required Black Zetsu to expend any effort to control the movements of the Deva Path and the Asura Path.

Attached to the Deva Path's body, he slowly closed his eyes, and the visual images of several other perspectives surfaced in his mind.

The Animal Path and the Preta Path had already secured reinforcements back at Hogwarts long ago.

If this place hadn't been set up with an Anti-Apparation Jinx, Dumbledore and Grindelwald should have arrived here long ago.

On the other side, the Naraka Path had also healed Madam Rosmerta's injuries and, moving together with the Human Path, delivered her into the hands of Madam Pomfrey.

Black Zetsu opened his eyes, scanning the slaughter around him.

The current state of the battle was basically one-sided; there was completely no necessity to summon the remaining four Paths.

The magical energy within the other four Paths was also very precious, and there was no need to waste it here.

The Anti-Apparation Jinx that this group of people had set up in advance to ambush Kyle had now also become the greatest obstacle to their hopes of escaping with their lives under the slaughter of the Dark Lordling.

What no one noticed was that at the edge of the battlefield, two figures shrouded beneath black robes were coldly watching this slaughter unfold.

"Is this the strength of the son of Grindelwald and Dumbledore?"

Watching that silhouette dancing gracefully through the crowd, Lucius Malfoy only felt his heart pounding with dread.

For this operation, they had deployed a full thirty elite Death Eaters who were fiercely loyal to Voldemort.

This was already the maximum number of hands their Kara organization could muster.

Every single one of these Death Eaters had survived for over a decade while being wanted by the Ministry of Magic.

Granted, the fact that they could survive like rats in the sewers for so long was not unrelated to the increasingly corrupt Ministry of Magic being negligent in hunting them down.

However, the abundant combat experience they had honed during this period still meant their strength could not be underestimated.

Coupled with years of running for their lives, their wills had become exceptionally resilient.

Even the well-trained Aurors of the Ministry of Magic would have to expend quite a bit of effort to take them down in a one-on-one fight.

Yet it was precisely such a group of desperate criminals who feared no death that couldn't even last a single round before Kyle; nearly every single one was instantly killed upon making contact with this Dark Lordling.

Furthermore, they also had the assistance of over fifty werewolves, who had moved together with them under the mobilization of Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf leader.

With a force of over eighty individuals like this, even if they were to attack the heavily guarded Gringotts, they could completely slaughter the Gringotts guards down to the last man, then hold off the Aurors rushing from the Ministry of Magic to support, sack Gringotts right in front of their faces, and then...

And then, under the effect of the Anti-Apparation restriction, only a few lucky ones would be able to run away.

But right now, the opponent consisted of a mere four individuals, yet the state of the battle looked as if their force of over eighty people had been surrounded by these four instead.

Ignoring Lucius, and ignoring those Death Eaters who had originally been deceived by them into serving as cannon fodder, Snape gently flicked his wand, and a sarcophagus burst forth from the earth.

The vertically placed sarcophagus was swung open, its heavy lid slamming onto the ground with a dull thud.

Amidst a cloud of dust, a tall and thin silhouette slowly stepped out from the sarcophagus.
