An alarm of extreme danger suddenly flared within Kyle's mind while he was locked in combat.
A stream of light, as thick as an arm, abruptly tore through the air and struck heavily toward him.
Without a single moment to react, Kyle was hit dead-on by the incoming beam. In the blink of an eye, he was blasted away dozens of meters.
"Kyle!" Seeing Kyle sent flying, Hermione anxiously tried to rush over to check on him, but she was barred by the Asura Path.
Suffering such a massive impact, Kyle lay on the ground. His consciousness was momentarily hazy, and his entire body ached with excruciating pain.
If he hadn't been maintaining his Lightning Release Armor at every single moment, that blow would have claimed his life right then and there.
"Damn it! Who is it?!" Kyle struggled to his feet.
Narrowing his eyes slightly, Kyle stared toward a withered tree in the distance that had been scorched black by the heat waves radiating from the Fiendfyre. A pale-faced man was standing there silently.
With just a single glance, Kyle knew that this person was no mere small fry like the ones he had been slaughtering earlier, but an exceptionally powerful wizard.
From this person's body, Kyle felt an incredibly ominous sensation, as if every single cell in his body was screaming a warning at him.
A feeling like this was something Kyle had only ever experienced from a select few individuals.
Albus Dumbledore, and Gellert Grindelwald.
Kyle knew that this man was absolute the most powerful opponent he had encountered in his fourteen years of life.
For a moment, it felt as though the very air was pressurized. Kyle's pores tightened slightly, and under the effects of extra adrenaline, his heart rate spiked several tens of percent faster than normal.
Ignotus flicked his wand, and a torrential tidal wave materialized out of thin air, roaring as it swept toward Kyle.
Kyle's expression shifted drastically. This was no simple tidal wave; every single drop of water comprising it was condensed from the purest power of curses.
Being burned by Fiendfyre would at least leave some ashes behind, but if one were to fall into this stuff, absolutely nothing would remain.
The waves surged inward from all directions, and even from the sky, a massive volume of the cursed water bore down upon him from above.
With no way to evade, Kyle had no choice but to activate Susanoo.
The Lightning Release Armor instantly dissipated, replaced by eerie blue bones materializing over the surface of Kyle's body, enveloping him like a suit of armor.
Flesh, blood, and skin rapidly grew over the skeleton, and finally, a set of armed armor composed of Fiendfyre manifested.
"Almighty Push!" Centered on Kyle, a surging repulsive force blasted outward against the surrounding cursed waves, but it only managed to slow the speed of the tide slightly.
Fortunately, with the obstruction provided by the Almighty Push, the Susanoo covering Kyle's body finally took full form.
Right at that moment, the waves formed by the power of curses crashed down over his head, transforming into a spherical water prison that sealed Kyle inside.
Under the erosion of the power of curses, the Susanoo enveloping Kyle began to wither away at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Swinging the giant greatsword in his hand fiercely, he hacked open a rift within the spherical water prison. The eerie blue armored giant then tore through the prison and escaped.
Kyle panted heavily, gasping for breath.
Even though he had only summoned a four-meter-tall Susanoo to conserve magical energy, the magical consumption required to withstand the erosion of the curse power inside that water prison for every single second was still monumental.
But there was no time for him to catch his breath now.
Kyle's figure suddenly vanished, abruptly reappearing right beside his opponent as he swung his sword toward the man's head.
There wasn't a trace of panic on Ignotus's deathly pale face.
His eyes shifted slightly. Within Ignotus's line of sight, an earth wall rose straight from the ground, minorly impeding Kyle's offensive.
The earth wall shattered and splattered as dust swirled through the air.
The sword in Kyle's hand didn't provide any feedback of striking a solid entity. Once the dust settled, the spot where Ignotus had originally been standing was completely empty.
An alarm of extreme danger welled up from his heart once more. Kyle's pupils shrank slightly as he reversed his wrist, bringing his sword horizontally to his side in an instant.
Clang!
The sharp ring of clashing metal erupted across the clearing.
Only now did Kyle have the chance to glance to his right. Ignotus was also holding a sharp Goblin-made sword in his hand.
If Kyle hadn't parried in time, that sweeping blade would have ripped open his chest.
Snape, who was controlling everything from the shadows, felt a hint of astonishment.
Ancient wizards had always practiced both magic and martial arts. He had thought this abrupt shift in combat style would catch Kyle off guard and allow him to successfully subdue the boy.
He hadn't expected Kyle to block it.
Kyle let out a cold snort and drew back his longsword, simultaneously throwing a kick toward the opponent's abdomen.
Ignotus's reactions were no slower; he swung his sword down toward Kyle's incoming leg.
However, Kyle ignored the blade chopping toward him. Currently maintaining his Susanoo, the dual protection of the Patronus Charm coupled with an Ultra-Strong Shield Charm was more than enough for him to ignore this Goblin-made sword.
Ting!
The sword in Ignotus's hand chopped down, but it only kicked up a shower of sparks.
Kyle's kick, infused with Enhanced Strength, slammed heavily into his body, launching him straight backward some thirty to forty meters.
Only after crashing through and snapping seven or eight withered trees in a row did Ignotus manage to halt his backward momentum.
Having completely cleared out the surrounding minor lackeys, the Deva Path and the Asura Path joined the fray at this very moment.
Six segments of Uru metal detached from the armor on the Asura Path's body, warping and shifting into the shape of flower petals, floating behind his back in a standard hexagonal formation.
From a distance, it looked as though a lily had bloomed upon the Asura Path's back.
The Deva Path appeared behind him at some unknown point, aiming his wand directly at the Asura Path. The purest magical energy transformed into a beam of light, feeding straight into the energy receptor on the Asura Path's back.
Six beams of golden light transformed into a dazzling torrent of energy, bursting forth into the air from the six petal-like energy receptors.
The Asura Path also thrust his chest forward, unleashing another stream of light from his chest core.
The six smaller energy streams interwoven and fused in mid-air, gathering into a much thicker torrent of light that shot toward Ignotus with unstoppable power.
In his haste, Ignotus only had enough time to manifest a silver-white shield to block the attack.
In an instant, as if a nuclear bomb had been detonated, a massive fireball expanded outward from the point where the torrent of light collided with the shield.
The woods had already been ravaged two or three times over by the Fiendfyre, leaving only a few trees standing resiliently.
After this new round of bombardment, the woods were completely flattened into open ground.
The Deva Path and the Asura Path maintained their firing posture for over a dozen seconds, only slowly ceasing their attack once the magical energy inside their bodies was almost entirely depleted.
An attack of such immense power...
Should have successfully eradicated the opponent, right?
