Chapter 80 - Turned Into Gacha?! - 80

Though he was often teased for his eccentric behavior and questionable sense of humor, when it came to teaching, Gojo Satoru was surprisingly responsible.

With his Six Eyes, he could easily perceive the flow of cursed energy in others.

Guiding someone step-by-step on how to manipulate cursed energy was as simple as drinking water for him. The only real challenge lay in the student's own innate comprehension.

After showing Amber and Yuji around the campus, Gojo began their foundational lessons in cursed energy control. The results, however, took him by surprise.

Yuji Itadori had no natural affinity for cursed energy.

He'd gained it by consuming one of Sukuna's fingers, thus beginning his life as a jujutsu sorcerer.

Given Yuji's physical gifts, mastering cursed energy should have been straightforward, yet he strangely couldn't grasp the basics.

Then again, Gojo mused, it was only their first day. This pace was probably normal.

The sense of incongruity came from the other side.

Amber, or Seele Vollerei, lived a warm, content life.

While she worked part-time to help out, it wasn't strictly necessary—the orphanage director provided for her needs. Her working was simply proof of her love for her home, a desire to contribute and make it better.

The nature of her cursed energy reflected this; it indicated remarkably few negative emotions, making her an unlikely fit for the jujutsu world. And yet, her control over cursed energy was so refined it almost made him wonder if she, too, possessed the Six Eyes.

Cursed energy is born from negative emotions. Ordinary people can't control it, so it leaks out, spawning curses.

Conversely, using cursed energy means harnessing this power, preventing its leakage.

But Seele could not only manipulate her own internal cursed energy and the cursed energy residing within her—she could also control the excess energy spilling from Yuji. Her handling of it was effortless, its delicacy and precision nearly on par with his own Six Eyes.

'Just how is she doing this?'

Even with the Six Eyes, Gojo couldn't fathom the principle behind it.

The answer, of course, was the Taixu Swordplay.

But Amber couldn't say that. She could only stammer incoherently, unable to provide a proper explanation.

Gojo didn't truly expect an answer from the girl, who was so new to this world. It was enough to know she possessed a transcendent talent for controlling cursed energy.

'With a gift like this, she might even master the Reverse Cursed Technique as quickly as Shoko.'

While Gojo himself could use Reverse Cursed Technique, his version only worked on himself, unable to heal others.

As far as he knew, the only ones who had fully mastered it were Shoko and Yuta Okkotsu, who was currently abroad.

Jujutsu High's curriculum wasn't just academics and energy control; physical combat training was also crucial.

Curses could only be exorcised with cursed energy. Since Yuji was still unskilled in its application, Gojo simply opened the school's storage warehouse and handed him a cursed tool. These weapons came imbued with their own cursed energy, making them perfectly capable of dispatching curses.

Amber, however, declined, stating she already had a weapon of her own. Though he saw no weapon on her, having fought against 'Dark Amber,' Gojo immediately thought of that scythe.

With both of them armed, the next step was close-quarters combat training.

"Since the second-years are all out on missions, you'll be sparring with me," Gojo announced.

He wanted to gauge Seele's capabilities in her normal state. It was essential for planning her future missions and training.

Amber didn't waste words. She summoned Undine's Tale and swung it at Gojo with little discernible form or technique.

It wasn't that she didn't want to learn. But aside from Dark Amber and Fu Hua, even her 'Navigation' system couldn't help her with this.

Navigation could only replicate what the currently equipped 'character card' already knew. For things the card hadn't mastered, it was useless.

In the end, Navigation was just a guide, not the master control system. If the master control was the system itself, then Navigation was merely a module—a branch.

Like the relationship between a phone and its built-in AI assistant. Strictly speaking, it wasn't even that advanced; more like a simple app within the phone.

In the Sea of Quanta, Seele's combat prowess lay entirely with 'Dark Seele.' Even if Amber wanted to learn, Navigation couldn't assist.

And while Dark Amber and Fu Hua were willing to teach, Amber had been in this world for less than twenty-four hours total.

Factoring in sleep, rest, and time spent meeting others, there simply hadn't been an opportunity.

Watching the girl charge at him, scythe raised high, Gojo effortlessly dodged.

Amber immediately tried to use her strong lower body stance and excellent physical control to reverse the scythe's momentum into a 'slashing' follow-up, but she abruptly remembered this wasn't something 'Seele' should be capable of.

So, she let herself be pulled off-balance by the heavy weapon, stumbling awkwardly.

She hadn't fully mastered the Taixu Swordplay, but she'd learned most of its stances. Losing her balance was hardly a real issue.

But a young girl wielding a massive weapon, struggling with its weight and momentum… that was part of Seele's charm. Unless it was an emergency, Amber decided to maintain the act.

Unaware of her internal monologue, Gojo continued to dodge while assessing her combat level.

Honestly… it wasn't bad at all.

While her moves had clear openings due to lack of practical experience, exploiting those gaps required first being able to keep up with her speed.

Gojo made dodging look easy, but cursed energy enhanced physical abilities. The girl herself had little, but she housed a Special Grade curse. Augmented by its power, any Grade 2 sorcerer would be utterly overwhelmed, likely suffering severe injuries within a few rounds.

Even an experienced Grade 1 sorcerer, faced with this relentless assault, might be caught off-guard initially.

However, that was the extent of it. With their greater reserves of cursed energy, unique techniques, and combat experience, a Grade 1 sorcerer wouldn't be harmed by this straightforward approach.

The gap between Grade 1 and Special Grade was vast, but the leap from Grade 2 to Grade 1 was also significant.

Some Grade 1 sorcerers might trade blows evenly with Grade 2s, while others could effortlessly obliterate them. They remained Grade 1 simply because the distance to Special Grade was even greater.

Gojo didn't think the girl would be easily handled by a Grade 1, however. This was just pure physical ability. He knew she also possessed that bizarre and powerful technique called 'Quantumization.'

He'd already seen her use it to teleport. Used cleverly, that ability alone could lead to a fatal first encounter for even a Grade 1 sorcerer.

Having evaluated their combat abilities, Gojo's mood improved further. Fresh, powerful blood was always welcome news.

In high spirits, he declared he was taking them both, plus Megumi Fushiguro who was back at the dorm, out for a big feast. He also casually mentioned that a new student would be enrolling tomorrow.
