Chapter 17 - Reverse chastity world chapter 16

Chapter 16 — A New transfer Girl Who Hated Boys

The morning sun rose gently above the skyline, painting the Reverse Chastity World with its usual calm glow. Birds chirped softly, and a light breeze brushed against the schoolyard as students began entering through the large iron gates of Aizora High.

The black luxury car stopped near the entrance as always.

The driver stepped out, opened the door, and Haruya came out — the handsome boy who could easily turn a normal day into chaos for the hearts of girls.

Like every morning, dozens of eyes followed him the moment his polished shoes touched the ground.

"Good morning, Haruya-sama!"

"He's so elegant, even the sunlight looks jealous of him!"

"I swear, if I could just hold his hand once, I'd die happy!"

Haruya just gave a polite smile, brushing off the attention as if he was used to it now. His two female bodyguards nodded at him, staying behind at the school gate as he entered the building.

Inside the hallway, whispers followed him like perfume in the air.

---

In Class 1-A, Saeko was already seated, waiting nervously. The moment she saw him, her eyes brightened like a shy puppy seeing its owner after a long time.

"H-Haruya… good morning," she said softly.

He smiled kindly. "Morning, Saeko."

Just that one small smile was enough to make her whole day feel like a dream.

The other girls in class exchanged glances — jealousy, admiration, and curiosity mixed in their eyes.

But among them sat one girl who didn't look impressed.

Her golden-brown hair framed her sharp eyes. She crossed her arms, resting back in her chair like a queen who didn't care about this so-called "male beauty."

Her name was Reina Tachibana — known as one of the most outspoken girls in the school.

Rumor said she never bowed her head to any boy, no matter how famous or rich he was.

To her, boys were just lazy, spoiled, and always hiding behind women's protection.

And now, that same Reina watched Haruya enter the classroom with an unimpressed expression.

"Tch… another pampered prince," she muttered quietly, clicking her tongue.

"Girls fawning over him like he's some sort of saint. Ridiculous."

Saeko, sitting nearby, heard her and frowned a little. "You shouldn't judge him like that, Reina-san. Haruya is… different."

Reina smirked. "Different? Yeah, sure. That's what everyone says about every boy until they show their true colors."

Saeko didn't respond but just looked down, slightly hurt.

Haruya, who overheard a bit, didn't say anything either — he didn't want to make a scene.

He simply sat at his desk, pulled out his notebook, and prepared for class.

But even that simple act — the calm, disciplined way he organized his things — somehow irritated Reina.

"Look at him," she whispered to her friend, "acting all perfect just to gain sympathy. Boys like him always pretend."

Her friend nervously chuckled. "Maybe he's just… polite?"

"Polite?" Reina scoffed. "It's fake. All boys are fake."

---

As the first class began, the teacher walked in, greeting everyone warmly.

"Good morning, everyone! Let's start with today's group activity."

The class groaned lightly — group work always caused chaos, especially when it came to pairing boys and girls.

The teacher smiled. "Let's make things interesting today. I'll assign partners myself!"

Haruya looked up curiously. The teacher began calling names.

"Saeko with Minami."

"Rika with Yui."

"And… Reina Tachibana, you'll work with Haruya Yukimura."

The room went silent for a second. Reina froze.

"What—! No, sensei, I—" she started to protest, but the teacher interrupted kindly.

"No complaints, Reina. You two will make a good team. Haruya is very responsible."

The class giggled quietly. Saeko blinked in surprise, glancing at Haruya, then at Reina. Something uneasy filled her chest, but she tried not to show it.

Reina sighed in frustration, standing up and walking toward Haruya's desk. "Fine. Let's just get this over with."

Haruya gave a calm nod. "Nice to work with you, Reina."

"Hmph. Don't try to act charming. Just focus on your part," she snapped.

He didn't reply — instead, he calmly opened his notebook and started outlining ideas for the project.

Reina rolled her eyes, clearly expecting him to be lazy or to rely on her.

But after a few minutes, her expression softened a little.

He was actually working… seriously. Writing neatly, discussing ideas, even asking her opinion politely.

"So, what do you think about this theme? Or should we adjust it?" he asked gently.

Reina hesitated. His tone wasn't fake. It wasn't trying to impress her either. It was… genuinely respectful.

"Uh… it's fine," she muttered. "You can… do that."

"Alright," he said simply, continuing to work.

For the first time, Reina found herself short of words.

No fake compliments. No flirtation. Just… decency.

It was confusing.

---

Later, during lunch break, Haruya walked to the cafeteria. As usual, many girls waved or greeted him politely.

"Good afternoon, Haruya-sama!"

"Would you like to sit with us?"

"Haruya-kun, I saved a seat!"

He smiled kindly and declined softly, "Thank you, but I already promised Saeko I'd join her today."

Reina watched from a distance, arms folded again. "Unbelievable," she muttered. "He really acts like a gentleman."

Her friend nudged her. "You sound kinda impressed, Reina."

"I'm not," she said quickly, looking away. "I just… didn't expect him to keep his word."

Saeko waved to Haruya from their usual spot. "Over here!"

When he joined her, Saeko couldn't stop smiling. "You were so kind to Reina today. She usually argues with everyone."

"She's just straightforward," Haruya replied while unpacking his lunch. "Maybe she's had bad experiences with boys."

Saeko nodded slowly. "Yeah… but you're not like other boys, Haruya."

He chuckled lightly. "Thanks, I hope so."

---

The afternoon classes passed with the same calm rhythm.

Reina, despite herself, kept glancing at Haruya during the lessons — the way he helped others with notes, how he politely talked to teachers, and even how he lent his pen to a classmate who dropped hers.

Every gesture was small… but genuine.

Her thoughts began to conflict.

Maybe he's just pretending? No… no one pretends that long. Then why is he so… kind?

During one activity, another girl accidentally tripped near Haruya's desk, spilling her files. Before anyone could react, Haruya bent down, helping her pick them up.

"Are you alright?" he asked sincerely.

"Y-yes, thank you so much, Haruya-sama!" the girl replied, blushing.

Reina watched quietly. Something stirred in her chest — not admiration yet, but… confusion.

Why did she feel like her old beliefs were slipping away?

Then, one of the jealous girls at the back whispered loudly, "Of course he helps her, he loves the attention."

Saeko immediately turned around. "That's not true! Haruya doesn't do things for attention!"

Reina looked at Saeko — the quiet girl defending him with such fire. It surprised her.

When class ended, Reina slowly approached Haruya while everyone packed their bags.

"Hey," she said bluntly, "you're… not what I expected."

He blinked. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

She looked away, embarrassed. "I'm not sure yet."

He smiled lightly. "Then I'll try to make it a good thing."

Reina froze, her heart skipping for the first time in a long while.

"W-Whatever. Don't get cocky," she muttered and walked away.

Saeko came over after Reina left, puffing her cheeks slightly. "She's so cold sometimes."

"She'll warm up," Haruya said softly. "People like her just need time to trust."

Saeko looked at him, admiration glowing in her eyes. "You really are too kind, Haruya."

He smiled, standing up. "Kindness doesn't cost anything, Saeko."

---

When school ended that day, Haruya walked out toward the gate as usual. His bodyguards saluted slightly as he approached.

But before he could enter the car, a familiar voice called from behind.

"Haruya!"

He turned — Reina stood there, slightly flushed. "Um… about earlier… thanks for not making me look stupid in front of everyone."

He gave a warm smile. "You don't have to thank me. We're classmates."

Reina hesitated, biting her lip. "Still… thanks."

Then she turned quickly, pretending not to care, but her heart was beating fast.

For the first time, she didn't hate saying a thank-you to a boy.

Haruya entered the car, glancing through the window as the car began to move. He saw Reina standing near the gate, staring at the sky as if thinking deeply.

---

That night, Reina lay on her bed, scrolling through her phone. Her thoughts were messy.

Why does he act like that? Why do I keep thinking about him?

She sighed, covering her face with a pillow. Maybe he really is… different.

Meanwhile, Haruya sat in his own room, looking out the window.

He smiled faintly, thinking of how many people he'd met so far in this strange world. Each one had their own way of seeing boys — some adored them, some hated them — but he wanted to understand them all.

"This world… really is the opposite of everything I knew," he whispered to himself. "But maybe I can change something here."

He looked at his phone — a few new messages from Saeko, just simple cheerful texts wishing him goodnight.

He smiled again.

"Tomorrow will be another interesting day," he said quietly.

The moonlight slipped through the curtains, painting his face with a soft glow as the world outside kept turning.

To be continued…
