How is it morning already! Last night was a blur. I don't even remember what I talked about with dad... Did we talked?
I need to run. The sun is coming up, so is the perfect moment.
It's been so many years since I ran this trail through the hills. I so needed this.
I reach the point when it connects with the river, when I notice someone already there, stretching the most muscular and sexy legs I have ever seen. Damnit, that's the guy that was at Jay's.
"Ey!" Oh no! I do not want to talk with this Greek god "you're Curls, right?" He offers a hand shake, my legs are shaking "Matt Waters" yeah, I am wet alright, Mr Waters got me wet.
"Yeah, you're Jay's friend, right? I saw you yesterday. Ugh" why did I have to bring that up!!
"Yeah, I guess... I hope we are friends"
"You don't know? Then why did he bring you to town?" Is he like their boy toy??
He chuckles, "nah, I live here, five months already"
"The landscaper!" My dad told me about him "why would you want to live here??" Oh, well... I'm just going to keep putting my foot in my mouth.
"Why wouldn't I? This place is awesome, just look around" he twirls around with his arms open, and yep, that is an awesome sight.
"Yeah.. well... Yeah" am I really a lawyer? Do I talk for a living??
Ughhh who am I trying to impress! I have a husband!!
"Ok, well, nice to meet you, I better keep going before I cool down" and gooood bye sexy!
"Right! Do you mind if I join you?"

"Great thanks!" He is jumping around me. Talk about golden retriever energy "I really hate running alone! But no one ever wants to join me at this hour"
"But this is the best hour for running"

And we have been running for a while, I talks constantly, he is sweet, really, very cheerful, I needed cheerful today. And I'm really grateful for him not even approaching the Jay of it all.
But the curiosity is killing me.
"So how did you meet Jay?"
He looks like a scared puppy. Yep, sorry my friend, I went there.
"Well... It's kind of a weird story"
"Can be weirder than yesterday"
"I wouldn't say weirder, just a different kind of weird... More on the creepy side of weird."
And now I have to now, "And now I have to now" ughhh
He chuckles, he is so cute.
And yes I wouldn't say his is creepier, but close.
"I've given up on trying to understand those guys" I shrug... While running... So I almost land on my face, but he catches me by the waist, and pulls me towards himself.
And I moan.
And I want to die, I moaned!!! And now I'm frozen, so I try to stand straight yeah I get the irony.
But I land on my ass.
On his lap.
And he his hard.
And I am frozen again.
What is happening? Am I on a cheap romance novel or something??
He growls "sorry sorry" he pushes me away "you landed on my water bottle" he is breathing hard "I think it broke mi balls"
"I'm so so sosososososo sorry" I hold him so he doesn't fall while hunching over.
It takes a while, but he recovers, kinda... He's a little sore, and limping because of course I twisted his ankle.
I put his arm around me and we start walking back.
Wait.
This is so a cheap romance novel bullshit!! I should just leave him here!
"I should just leave you here"
"What???" Oh my god, now I've scared the puppy.
"Yeah, you should stay here in the shade, I'll run back and bring someone with a car" he sighs "otherwise this is going to take forever and you need to put some ice on it" I try to point at his ankle but accidentally swat at his bulge. What is wrong with me today??
"Your ankle!!! I was trying to point at your ankle"
He chuckles "that's right" he says low by my ear "that needs ice too"
And I whimper!!!
So I push him against a tree "I'll be right back"
And I run away like I have the devil chuckling under a weeping willow behind me.
