Chapter 44 - Laila and the wolf2

---

Layla was standing in the middle of the forest…

Her eyes were fixed on that handsome man lying on the ground.

Unconscious among the grass.

Her heart was pounding rapidly not only from fear, but from fascination with his beauty.

She had not expected to encounter a man with such calm features on her path.

Even while unconscious, he looked like a work of art.

His eyelids moved slowly.

Then he finally opened his eyes,

Looked at her with a weak gaze and said in a tired voice: "Help me… please."

Layla stepped toward him, her hands trembling.

And she said anxiously: "Sir… are you all right?"

The man breathed with difficulty, then smiled faintly and said: "I think I… will die… if I do not find my true love."

Layla's eyes widened in shock.

Her body froze for a second, then suddenly her expression changed completely.

"What?!" she shouted angrily.

She kicked him backward with her foot.

Then stood up screaming: "Damn you! You're just an idiot flirting with girls in the forest!"

She turned around and ran away at full speed.

Her red cloak fluttered behind her.

The audience burst into loud laughter, while Mikel covered his mouth, laughing hard.

Layla ran for a distance, then suddenly stopped, her eyes widening in terror.

"My basket!" she screamed.

She placed her hand on her head and said irritably: "Damn it! Why did I have to forget it there?! And why am I afraid to go back?!"

From the seats, Lavenia said as she leaned forward curiously: "Seriously… where is the wolf?"

Mikel laughed and whispered: "Hah, keep watching the story to find out."

On the stage…

Layla slowly retraced her steps,

Trembling like a small child, looking around cautiously as she searched for her basket.

Her steps were hesitant, and the sound of her breathing was audible.

Suddenly.

She spotted her basket lying on the ground.

"There it is!" she said in relief, then ran toward it.

But the moment she bent down to pick it up, her breath caught.

The man… was not there.

Instead, there were bloodstains on the ground dark and clear.

Layla put her hand over her mouth and said in a trembling voice: "Impossible… did he really need help? And did I misjudge him?"

Before she could catch her breath,

She heard slow footsteps moving through the grass. She turned suddenly.

And she screamed in fear:

"Hey, you! If you're trying to scare me, please stop!"

But what emerged from between the bushes was not a man…

It was a wolf.

A huge wolf, with dark fur, and eyes gleaming with a terrifying stare.

Layla screamed and fell to the ground.

She crawled backward until her back hit one of the bushes.

"Please… don't hurt me! Please!" she cried while covering her face.

From among the audience, someone shouted excitedly:

"Damn! They're amazing! The wolf looks so real!"

But Lavenia whispered:

"Damn it… did Fred use magic?!"

Before the wolf could do anything, he suddenly collapsed in front of Layla,

Panting with obvious exhaustion.

She approached him cautiously and noticed a deep wound in his abdomen, blood flowing from it.

Layla said in a hesitant voice:

"I can't believe it… this is my chance to escape… but what about this wolf?"

She turned one step to leave,

But her feet would not move.

She grabbed her head with both hands and screamed in despair:

"Ah! Damn it! What if I heal him and then he eats me?!"

She paused for a moment, then exhaled deeply.

"…I can't leave him."

She moved closer to him, trembling, slowly extended her hand, and carefully touched his abdomen.

Then, hesitantly, she grabbed her red cloak, tore off a piece of it, and began wiping the blood.

And suddenly…

Before her eyes and the eyes of everyone else, the wolf's body began to glow.

Then it gradually transformed into that handsome man.

Girls' screams erupted throughout the hall:

"Wow!"

"His body is amazing!"

His shirt was slightly open, his abdominal muscles clearly visible, making even Lavenia blush shyly as she watched the scene.

Layla stepped back in shock and said, pointing at him:

"Wow! Oh my God! You… you really are that man who was here a moment ago! But… how did you turn into a wolf?!"

The man smiled weakly and said: "Actually… a witch cast a curse on me and turned me into a wolf. And I don't have much time left… the curse will become complete soon."

Layla placed her hand on her chest sympathetically and said: "You poor thing… that's truly unfortunate."

The man said with sincere pleading: "Please, help me find the witch."

Layla hesitated, then said: "But I'm busy… I want to go to my grandmother. She's waiting for me."

He stepped closer and said with a gentle smile: "Please, you're a kind girl. Let's go to your grandmother's house first, then we'll search for the witch together."

She hesitated for a moment, then smiled and said: "Alright… with pleasure."

She helped him to his feet…

And they began walking together through the forest.

All along the way, they talked and laughed.

Layla felt a strange attraction toward him; he wasn't frightening as she had thought.

He was kind, cheerful, and he would even suddenly stop to step aside so as not to crush ants.

She smiled without realizing it, and thought to herself that this wolf… was different.

From the seats, Lavenia whispered to Mikel: "Is this really the story of Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf?"

Mikel replied, laughing: "I don't know… but it seems strange."

Rocky said with a smile: "Guys… but it's really good."

The lights slowly dimmed.

"A story of a wolf who was not evil… but was only searching for love."
