But the moment his gaze lands on Kael sitting very close me, his whole face changes. His expression shifts from shock to disbelief, then it explodes into fury and rage.
"Rex, it's not what you think." I begin but he cuts me off with his action.
He doesn't wait to hear me out, he doesn't ask questions, he curls his fist into a ball and charges towards Kael.
In a flash, his fist slams into Kael's face with so much force that the sound cracks like two stones hitting each other. Kael's head snaps sideways, and he rolls off the bed, hitting the floor hard with a grunt.
"Rex!" I scream, jumping to my feet.
Kael pushes himself up, wiping blood from his lip, anger blazing across his face. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he growls.
Rex says nothing, he doesn't stop, he goes after Kael again. Kael meets him halfway this time.
