(Allen POV)
'Secret Quest? system we started to hide things now.'
[Host in the other world, you've been having fun getting strong while I give you rewards, and that's all, so let me enjoy this.]
'...'
On second thought, I feel he should at least have fun after all, without him, I would be dead already.
"I found a treasure before this bitch."
Loki was jumping around happily.
'Bitch? Does she mean Freya?'
"Actually, it was Riveria who found me, not you, goddess."
I stated the fact while I looked at Riveria, looking pleased.
"Oh, yes, thanks, Mama."
"STOP CALLING ME THAT."
Mama?
"Mama? What's that?"
"Ah, we call Riveria because of her."
"Say it, I dare you."
Before Loki finishes her talk, Riveria glanced at her with a threat.
'Is she talking about her age? What's wrong with that? I'm 99 years old.'
[Host]
'yeah'
[You add another ten, your actual age is 89.]
'89?! Didn't you tell me I'm 99?'
[Sorry, Host, I just wanted to see your reaction, then I forgot to tell you about the real one.]
'It's ok, I understand'
'Now that I think about it, should I help Riveria? Yeah, I think I should.'
"Riveria"
"Yes?"
"Can you tell me how old you are?"
"Don't you know it's rude to ask a woman about her age?"
"Ah, I'm sorry I forgot about that."
"It's ok, I'm 84 years old."
Bingo works every time, not knowing that it's rude to tell a girl her age makes it easier than I thought.
"Oh, then I'm older than you by 5 years."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"pfft, It seems that we have Papa Now haha."
"your kidding, right?"
"Nope, did you forget I'm a vessel, which means I'm immortal by age."
"Haa, you didn't need to tell us your age, you know."
"Why not? You told me your age; it's only fair to tell you my age."
As we were talking, Loki finished laughing.
'Forget about what I said. She's more of a problem than the other Loki from Marvel.'
"Ok, that's enough joking around, Loki. What should I do next?"
"You must go to the guild to tell them which familia you joined, but it's late, so you can go once it's morning."
"Ok, but I have a question."
"What is it?"
"If you call Riveria mama and me papa, doesn't that mean your grandma?"
"pfft"
"..."
"..."
Finn and Loki were silent while Riveria was chuckling in the corner of the room.
"You!"
"Oops, it seems that Grandma is angry. Riveria, please show me my room-Bye."
I took Riveria outside the room before Loki could even speak.
'I can still hear her screaming my name with anger.'

'You son of a bitch made me happy only to crush it.'
[It's not my fault, Host. After all, you get excited too quickly.]
'I hate you.'
[I love you too, Host]
Haa, can you at least show me a normal quest, at least.
[main quest: Learn any kind of magic]
[Rewards]
Shaman stone and soul eater charm.
'Don't tell me the charms are also gone.'
[yes Host]
It took me years just to get all of them; now you're taking it away from me.
"Riveria"
"Yes?"
"Can you teach me magic?"
"Ok"
"I know I'm...what?"
"Teaching magic is my thing, and you made my day better today."
God, is she an angel that was sent to help me or something?
"What type of magic do you want to learn?"
"I want one for refreshing my mana and boosting my friends' strength in battle."
"So a support magic."
"Yep, that's the one."
"Alright, come with me."
I followed Riveria to a room which was full of books.
'It seems this is the library.'
"You must focus on what I say, got it."
I nodded my head
"Magic is not a gift; it is a discipline. It is the expression of your will over the world, made possible by the divine blessing of the Falna. This power is drawn from your Mind stat. Do not think of 'Mind' merely as 'mana' or 'spirit energy,' though those are close analogies."
She looked directly at me, her Jade eyes steady. "In essence, your Mind is your capacity for imagination and control. Your thoughts shape the chaotic energy of the world into a coherent spell."
"The more complex the spell, the higher the Mind Consumption."
I nodded while taking notes
"And let's not forget about the chant. It is the foundation and the trigger. It stabilizes the chaotic formula you are creating. For a novice like you, the full chant is essential. The longer and more ornate the chant, the more potent the final output will be, but the slower the cast time. You must believe every word."
"Is there like a formula for it?"
"Good question, and to answer your question, there is."
"This is the true difficulty. Within your mind, you must construct the entire framework of the spell—the element, the shape, the trajectory, the force. It requires perfect concentration. Any hesitation, any stray thought, and the spell collapses, or worse, backfires."
"And lastly is the output. This is the final surge of Mind power. It is not enough to construct the spell; you must push it into reality. This output must be carefully controlled, or you will waste your energy and tire yourself immediately."
Riveria held up a single finger, on which a tiny, harmless spark of emerald lightning flickered.
"The difference between a beginner's fireball and my ultimate spell is not just the power, but the density of the formula. I create a mansion; you create a wooden shed."
Cool, I'm glad Riveria is my teacher.
"Follow me"
"Ok"
She led me into the spare ground
"Your assigned Spell, for now, is Heil Cú (Healing Call), the most fundamental of all non-offensive magics. Its chant is short, its formula simple, but its control is difficult."
"Now, breathe. Quiet the chaos in your mind. Focus your will on one concept: Restoration."
I took a deep breath, trying to match her composure, and began the short chant she had assigned me...and I failed three times, sputtering out the last word before the energy could coalesce.
On the fourth attempt, I successfully pushed a tiny flicker of green light from my palm. It touched the dummy that was in the training ground and instantly vanished.
"Too weak," Riveria commented dryly. "But successful. You didn't implode, which is a start. Now, do it again. And remember: You cannot lie to your own formula. If you doubt your power, the world will reflect that doubt."
I see, so it's going to take a while.
"Try again."
"Yes, Riveria."
"Call me teacher."
"Nope, I want to call your name whatever I want."
"You will not change your mind, right?"
"yep"
"Haa, fine."
YES
"Don't stop now."
"Ah, sorry."
And with that, I continued my work on the assignment that Riveria gave me.
