She was leaving Los Angeles the next morning and her agent had already booked her flight back to New York where a new contract was waiting. Her life was taking a sharp turn to the better, and nothing could stop it. She din't want distractions and she din't want to start a relationship she couldn't keep up with, not when she was traveling too much.
"I..Tom.." she said gently, "I'm flying out tomorrow early morning. I'm moving back to New York for a long project, and I don't know when I'll be back, if Ever." She said in one breath, voice full of regret. then she continued "I mean, I can tell you're a great guy, and maybe fate will bring us together again in the future, but for now, I can't Tom, I mean, I'll be in NewYork and you'll be here. I don't want to get too attached to anyone right now."
Tom pressed his lips together, nodding slowly.
"That's alright, Riley" he said. "We could stay in touch, maybe? I'm not asking for anything serious, just a chance." he insisted.
