Clara was caught off guard by the call from main entrance gate. She and Harris were not scheduled to meet until the next day. But she knew him being here din't only mean possibility of bad news, maybe also good news.
"Verify him," she said calmly, "then please let him come to the study."
A few minutes later, Clara and Harris were seated side by side in the Ashford study.
Clara spoke first. "You wouldn't have come all the way here if you didn't have key evidence, or didn't know something significant that could be bad for this case." she said, ushering him to take a seat. "Spill."
The study was quiet when Detective Harris finally leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees.
"I think we may finally have an opening, Clara, a big one." he said excitedly.
Clara's interest piqued but she remained calm.
Harris continued, lowering his voice, not out of secrecy, but gravity.
