Maya's POV
The phone rings at 2 AM. I jump awake, heart pounding. Nothing good ever comes from middle-of-the-night calls.
"Maya Chen?" A woman's voice. British accent. "This is Agent Morrison from Interpol. We need to talk about Siri Chaiyasit."
My blood runs cold. "Is she real? Is she really an investigator?"
"She's very real. And she needs your help. Now."
Twenty minutes later, I'm in my living room on a video call with three Interpol agents. Ethan sits beside me. We're both exhausted and terrified.
"Siri's been working with us for four years," Agent Morrison explains. Her face is serious. "Everything she told you about her brother is true. Everything about the investigation is true."
"Then who sent that email?" Ethan demands. "Who's trying to make us think Siri is lying?"
