Chapter 22 - World Government

Red Earth Continent.

Holy Land Mary Geoise, Office of the Five Elders.

In an ordinary palace, there are only a few sofas and coffee tables.

Four middle-aged men in black suits and one in a white bathrobe were sitting on the sofa.

This is the highest authority of the World Government, where the Five Elders work.

A sweet voice came from the Den Den Mushi on the coffee table:

"All information regarding West Blue Navy Captain Alan Drake has been verified!!"

At this time, the bald, mustachioed middle-aged man sitting on the side of the sofa spoke:

"Then do you think he can work for the World Government with peace of mind?! - Stussy."

The other side of Den Den Mushi.

West Blue, Pleasure District.

Stussy was looking at Den Den Mushi respectfully.

She wears a white flowered hat, a pink dress and a white shawl, has short golden curly hair and blue eyes, and has an elegant appearance and beautiful face.

Her cherry lips opened slightly, and all the information about Alan quickly emerged in her mind.

"This person is greedy for money, lustful, corrupt, fame-seeking, and profit-driven. His understanding of justice is also different from that of ordinary sailors."

"Plus, he has no backing in the Navy Headquarters. With this kind of behavior, he will definitely be ostracized by the Navy in the end!"

"So I think... if you, Saint Topman Warcury, offer a little temptation, he won't refuse!"

There was a moment of silence in the Den Den Mushi, and then the emotionless and majestic voice of Warcury came out:

"Okay then. Next, I need you to get closer to Alan Drake. We need more detailed information about him!"

"Yes! Saint Topman Warcury!"

After a random Den Den Mushi beeped, the communication was interrupted.

Stussy picked up a file with Alan's photo on it, and her beautiful eyes like gems examined Alan's photo, and her pink and soft tongue slowly licked her red lips.

"...What a handsome little boy~"

Holy Land Mary Geoise, Office of the Five Elders.

The "God of Law" Warcury glanced solemnly at the other four colleagues.

"...Tell me, what are your thoughts?"

Wearing a white bathrobe, also bald and wearing glasses, the "Financial God of War" Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro was wiping the Supreme Grade Sword "Shodai Kitetsu" in his hand, and a white light flashed in his glasses.

"...Alan Drake, to have achieved such strength in three years, is indeed worthy of recruitment by the World Government, but... his character remains uncertain."

The "God of Science and War" Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, who has the most rounded figure, dreadlocks and a big beard, also expressed his views.

"Perhaps we could send someone from the CP organization to take a look... Isn't Spandine's pursuit of the criminals heading straight to the West Blue?"

"You mean Spandine should contact Alan Drake to see his attitude towards the World Government..." Warcury also reacted instantly.

After all, they had been colleagues for who knows how many years, so the next sentence didn't even need to be said, it was already clear.

"If the clues really point there, then we can only... make it disappear!"

"Yes, if the information is true... we can use this to test Alan's obedience to the World Government..."

"...After all, not every marine would be so cruel as to attack civilians!"

"Then let's vote now!"

The next second, the five highest authorities in the world government all raised their hands to pass the resolution!

A month later.

West Blue Navy 104th Branch Base, Office.

Alan was checking the report list in his hand, and West was standing by waiting for instructions.

The next second, Alan's breathing rate quickened slightly, a flame appeared at his fingertips, and the list in his hand turned to ashes in an instant.

"Are you sure there's only one copy of this list?!"

West beside him said respectfully:

"Yes, I personally supervised this. There will definitely not be a second copy!"

"In addition, the brothers who carried out this mission are all trustworthy..."

Hearing this, Alan couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. The plan should be able to be carried out to this point.

West is Alan's absolute confidant, and the friendship between the two of them who have been through life and death is naturally needless to say.

Alan had personally planned this mission for the past month, and only the two of them knew about it. Even Gion and Kake were completely unaware.

The reason was not that Alan did not believe them, but that standing behind the two of them were the "wise general" Admiral Sengoku and the "chief of staff" Vice Admiral Tsuru, both of whom were powerful men famous for their wisdom and strategy.

If there was even the slightest mistake in this matter, he could guarantee that he would be directly listed as one of the "world's worst criminals", that is, a criminal like Garp's eldest son, Luffy's eldest father, and Monkey D. Dragon.

After all, it directly touches the world government's cake.

Time goes back to a month ago...

Alan couldn't bear to see such an inhumane thing as the Buster Call happening in his jurisdiction, so after several days of hard thinking, Alan finally decided to intervene in this matter!

Alan can be ruthless to pirates who have committed crimes!

You want me to attack ordinary civilians and innocent people? You want me to attack little Robin who had a miserable childhood?!

Feel sorry!!

I can't do it!!

Alan stared at his adjutant West seriously and said in a serious tone:

"West! Can I... trust you?!"

West looked at the figure sitting upright in the office chair, a trace of solemnity flashed in his eyes, and he bowed respectfully and said:

"You can always trust me!!"

He swore that he had known Alan for three years and had watched him climb step by step to his current position. This was the first time he saw Alan so solemn and majestic.

Alan's expression remained unchanged as he continued:

"Even if this matter is exposed...the best outcome for us is to become a wanted criminal?!"

The best outcome is becoming a wanted criminal?!

Isn't the worst outcome - death without a burial place?!

However, West only hesitated for a moment, and his eyes immediately became firm.

"You saved my life. Even if you want to rebel against the navy, I will go with you!"

Alan heard this, and his solemnity disappeared instantly, and he smiled:

"It's not that serious! But... this matter is not simple either."

"You absolutely cannot let anyone else know!!"

Alan stood up and walked to West, whispering directly in his ear:

"First thing... you must personally go to O'Hara and deliver this letter to Dr. Clover in the name of the 'Revolutionary Army.' You must conceal your identity as a marine and absolutely do not reveal your whereabouts."

"Remember to hand it over to Dr. Clover personally."

"The second thing..."

As for why we don't use Den Den Mushi? What if our phone is being monitored?

Alan even suspected that O'Hara had been connected to the revolutionary army for a long time...

So I'm sorry, Dragon, you're already wanted anyway, so it's okay to put some more accusations on you, right?

Dragon: You are so high and mighty, yet you use me as a tool...

West took the envelope solemnly, on which was written "From Dr. Clover himself".

Then he saluted and said, "I guarantee to complete the mission!!"

Alan returned to his seat, resting his chin on his hands, muttering to himself:

"The biggest cancer in the Navy is not me, the so-called "scum" Alan Drake!"

"There has always been only one...and that is the World Government!!"
