Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Broken Marks in the Rearview Mirror

As Kira Yoshikage settled into his Nissan Skyline R31, the caramelized scent of baked apples still clung to his fingertips. He had to admit, the food prepared by that chef was indeed incredibly delicious; he truly lived up to being someone who awakened a Stand through his unparalleled culinary skills.

He didn't rush to start the car. First, he took out a clean handkerchief from his suit's inner pocket and meticulously wiped the knuckles that had just touched Tonio, cleaning even the cinnamon powder from under his fingernails. He was a bit of a germaphobe now.

He also realized that using a man's hand was probably truly out of the question, as he now felt disgusted by men's hands.

But he still smiled, poked his head out, looked back at the restaurant, and gave a thumbs-up to the distant chef, as if giving a like.

"Killer Queen!"

After his soul merged with the original Kira, he always felt Killer Queen's power increasing. Today was the perfect opportunity to test the enhanced power using this table.

In an instant, the table in the restaurant swelled and cracked, then burst apart on the spot under Tonio's shocked and terrified gaze. The table exploded as if it had become a bomb, unleashing a massive blast.

The terrifying blast wave directly destroyed the entire room, tearing apart all the surrounding tables and chairs. The knives and forks that were flung up even embedded themselves directly into the wall, and Tonio, who was closest, was instantly blown to pieces.

Even Kira Yoshikage, standing outside, could see the blast wave rushing out of the room, and through the shattered glass, he could still see the terrifying explosion in the mist.

"Hmm, the power has indeed increased quite a bit. Now it should be able to directly blow up a small house? Hmm, that should be about right."

A faint smile appeared on his face. He turned the key, the engine hummed softly, and the car slowly drove forward.

A Stand is the materialization of spiritual power. The stronger the spiritual power, the more obsessive and determined a person is, the stronger the Stand should be. Now that his soul was two-in-one, his Stand's strength should naturally far exceed what it was before.

It seemed he could look forward to what his third bomb would be like. It should be stronger and more effective than Kira Yoshikage's third bomb. He believed that with Kira Yoshikage's talent, even without the arrow, he could awaken the third bomb.

"No choice, who told you to discover me? And then you just had to call the police."

Kira spoke to the air, his tone no different from when he usually conversed with his "girlfriend." He was growing more and more accustomed to his current identity: maintaining his disguise, enjoying life. Aside from being a bit perverted, there was nothing wrong with the identity of Kira Yoshikage.

It wasn't until the car passed the Green Hill road sign that the police sirens finally sounded in the distance, just as the two officers were preparing to return to work.

Kira glanced at the rearview mirror. Two police cars, lights flashing, sped towards "Savoia." The sound of the sirens grew closer, but then suddenly softened as they pulled up to the restaurant entrance.

He could imagine the police's expressions as they pushed open the door: a blown-up house, a chef blasted into fragments. This would probably be considered a bomb attack.

But no matter what, they wouldn't find any evidence. This was the terrifying aspect of Kira Yoshikage's Stand; no one could find evidence of his murders.

"Japanese police are indeed slow," Kira chuckled, pressing the accelerator.

The phantom of Killer Queen completely vanished, and Kira Yoshikage drove away directly. He had to go back to work and continue his peaceful day.

Although he hadn't found Rohan Kishibe today, he already had a rough plan. He was sure to find him with another search tomorrow. Then he could induce a conflict between the two sides and watch them fight from the sidelines.

As for tonight? He needed to replenish his 'girlfriends.'

However, after he returned, while working in the afternoon, he suddenly received a call. Picking up the phone, he saw it was from his father... "Mosimosi, what's up?"

"Yoshikage, something's wrong with Higashikata Josuke..."

...On the other side, the three had returned to the Higashikata House after school.

"Nani, Jotaro-san, the arrow isn't in his house? And there are no clues at all?"

Higashikata Josuke looked incredulous. Jotaro had thoroughly searched Otoishi Akira's house, but he only found a large amount of stolen money and goods, and not the Stand Arrow he was looking for.

That wasn't a big deal; it was normal for the culprit to take the arrow if he fled. However, they had searched many times but found no trace of Otoishi Akira after his death.

This was a big problem. He had thought the matter could be concluded, but now the clues were gone again... "Yes, that's right. We found the location of his death, but we found no clues there, only some remnants of Otoishi Akira's belongings."

"He seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving no trace, and there was no surveillance at that location."

Jotaro's voice was as calm as ever, as if devoid of any emotional fluctuation.

There are all sorts of bizarre Stand abilities in this world. A Stand that can completely erase the victim's traces isn't that rare, but as long as that Stand User is still in town, he will eventually find them.

If absolutely necessary, even though there was no surveillance there, they could check all the people who passed through that area during the relevant time period. With the financial resources of the foundation, achieving this would not be difficult.

"Then, Jotaro-san, is it possible that the person who attacked him was his accomplice? Or similar to his relationship with Nijimura Keicho?"

After Higashikata Josuke thought for a moment, he immediately recalled the scene where Red Hot Chili Pepper killed Nijimura Keicho. "I think these two incidents are very similar."

"It's possible, but it's not certain yet. We have no information about the killer, but a killer like this will definitely not remain quiet for long. If anything unusual happens recently, we must pay attention."

Higashikata Josuke suddenly paused upon hearing this, then remembered what Koichi had just said today. "Speaking of which, there is indeed something interesting. A student at our school disappeared during lunch yesterday, and the police still haven't found any clues."

"But why would that Stand User kill him? Could it be that he's not a psycho killer?"

Nijimura Okuyasu, who was listening nearby, casually grumbled, "Or is he like my big brother, going around stabbing people with arrows?"

"Hmm, Okuyasu, that classmate disappeared yesterday at noon..."

Koichi's mouth twitched as he added, "So even if he was really stabbed by an arrow, it should have been Red Hot Chili Pepper."

"Yeah, yeah, it's all pretty much the same. Anyway, that bastard is dead now. Hmph, to be killed by someone else like that, he got off easy."

But thinking of the wretched sight of that bastard being blown up and fleeing in the photo, Okuyasu's mood improved considerably. In a sense, he had gotten his revenge.

However, Jotaro on the other side paused. This didn't sound impossible.

They hadn't encountered such utterly evil individuals, but Jotaro had! Wasn't Dio one? Recklessly and wantonly killing people everywhere... In an instant, Jotaro's eyes lit up, as if he had vaguely grasped a breakthrough.

"Josuke, where did he go for lunch?"
