Chapter 590 - Chapter 590: Publication

Early the next morning, Tver was woken by Sirius's impatient knocking.

"I mean, there are still at least two hours before today's class. You're already this excited? Aren't you afraid you'll run out of energy by the time it starts?"

Tver leaned against the doorframe in annoyance, not even wanting to let Sirius in.

For some reason, even though his schedule had already returned to normal, the moment he came back to Hogwarts, he had unconsciously stayed up late again.

Of course, the main reason was that Dumbledore had actually given him the Elder Wand.

It was just that Dumbledore had looked so solemn last night that Tver had somehow felt as if he were receiving some mysterious inheritance.

Holding the Elder Wand himself for the first time was naturally far more exciting for Tver than teaching students.

So, naturally, he had spent the whole night studying the Elder Wand and only gone to sleep when the sky was beginning to brighten.

Even someone as skilled at time management as he was could not recover in such a short time. Drowsiness was inevitable.

Thinking of what he had gained that night, Tver did manage to perk up a little, and then forcefully.

Yawned.

"To be precise, one hour and fifty-eight minutes…"

Sirius said it with a perfectly serious face, but seeing Tver yawning and too lazy to pay him any attention, he quickly grabbed him.

"Can't you show a little passion? This is the most special class in Hogwarts history!"

"Sorry, I taught the students similar classes ages ago."

Tver pulled himself together. Since going back to sleep was impossible anyway, he might as well keep studying the Elder Wand.

"Then we can at least discuss how to make it more fun…"

Sirius was about to say more when an unexpected voice stopped him.

"Sirius? Professor? You two are up this early?" Harry asked curiously.

Behind him, Ron and Hermione were also looking at the two of them with strange expressions.

Thanks to Sirius's big mouth, they had long since learned that today's Defence Against the Dark Arts class would be taught by both professors together.

Professor Fawley had taught them for more than four years, so his teaching ability naturally went without saying.

And Sirius was not weak either. Over the past half year or so, he had led them through one enjoyable practical lesson after another.

In a certain sense, Sirius, who never gave out exam papers, had already risen in the students' eyes to stand shoulder to shoulder with Professor Fawley.

So, in their imagination, today's lesson should have been a wonderful class where two beloved professors pulled out all the stops and gave their students meticulous care and attention.

But looking at the expressions on these two men's faces, they somehow felt there was something rather ill-intentioned about it.

"If you're also too excited to sleep and came here to remind me, then don't waste time. Hurry to the Great Hall for breakfast. At least you'll have enough strength."

After saying that, Tver was just about to turn around when he saw Hermione suddenly take out a book that should have been brand new, but had already been flipped through until it was wrinkled.

"I don't know what the upcoming lesson has to do with strength, but Professor, aren't you going to explain this book?" Hermione asked with a complicated expression.

Sirius had not paid much attention at first, but the moment he saw the title and cover, his eyes widened.

"What is this? Tver, I think we need an explanation!"

Harry and Ron also looked conflicted. They did not want to question the professor, but the thing they had been worried about had finally happened.

Compared with the suddenly heavy atmosphere, however, the sleepiness on Tver's face vanished at once. Smiling broadly, he took the book.

"Oh, so it's already been published."

On the cover, a thin, small black-haired boy rode a broomstick through the air, narrowly passing beneath an archway while looking back in panic.

That was right. This was this world's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone!

The figure on the cover was somewhat different from the real Harry. This was also Tver's request. The characters in the book had to be distinct from reality, so that if Harry truly appeared before the public one day, he would not suffer too much interference.

Although Tver always felt that this might not be very effective. After all, the storm that the Harry Potter series would stir up in this world was absolutely unprecedented.

He flipped through it with great interest for quite a while before noticing that Hermione's cheeks had puffed up in anger.

"Professor, didn't we agree that this material was only meant to serve as a record?"

"Exactly, exactly!" Ron echoed with great tact.

"But now, never mind that the content has changed so much. Why has it been published in the muggle world?"

"Exactly, exactly!" Harry belatedly chimed in.

Looking at the indignant trio and the thoughtful Sirius, Tver thought about it. Publishing their story without telling the people involved really was somewhat unkind.

"There are still one hour and fifty-eight minutes before class. I'll use that time to explain it to you."

Hermione was rather surprised by the professor's calmness. She followed Harry and Ron into the office in a daze.

By the time she focused her attention on the professor again, a steaming cup of Pumpkin juice had already been placed in front of her.

After taking a pleasant sip of Pumpkin juice, Tver said to them, "Ask away. You have the right to know everything about this book."

Hermione quickly set down her cup, cleared her throat twice, and sat up straight like a serious reporter at a press conference.

It was as if she possessed some strange power that drew everyone's attention to her, making them wait for her to speak.

"Why aren't you in this book?"

"…Next question."

Tver froze. It was not that he could not answer, but the fact that he had removed only himself from the story did seem even more unkind.

"Were the changes in the plot made because your existence was removed? Then how did you determine that the story would unfold this way?"

"…Next one."

He could not very well say that he had transmigrated and was so familiar with the Harry Potter series that he could not be more familiar with it.

"Then," Hermione took a deep breath, her expression becoming extremely serious, "what exactly are you trying to do by publishing this book, a book about the wizarding world meant for muggles?"

At that moment, Sirius suddenly seemed to realize something and raised his hand excitedly.

"I know this one. It's to overturn The Statute of Secrecy!"

"???"

Hermione and the others' eyes widened at once. They stared, dumbfounded, at Tver, who was laughing silently, and at Sirius, who looked as happy as if he had answered a teacher's question correctly.
