Chapter 11 - Shopping!

Nathan immediately stared intently at Louis, causing Daniel and Ray to look at each other.

Louis didn't feel the need to refute his words and instead clarified them. "Young Master, you know I can't let you work. If Master Alex finds out, I'll be in trouble."

Nathan cleared his throat and looked at Daniel. "I really don't know what he's talking about. He's a bodyguard at the house of the family that pays for my school."

Louis didn't understand why Nathan didn't just say he was the son of the Salazar, the billionaire family. Why did he have to make up a lie like that? Maybe the boy was really serious about leaving after six months?

It was completely incomprehensible. Who would refuse to be part of a wealthy family? But Nathan rejected it, even causing problems. Louis was sure that one day the boy would regret it.

"Young Master, can we go back to the mansion now?" Louis urged when he saw Nathan busy helping Ray serve customers.

Nathan shook his head. "I'm busy."

"If you don't leave now, I'll force you," Louis said softly but seriously.

Nathan stopped his hand under the coffee machine before pressing the button. The waiting customers seemed interested in their conversation.

"Can you leave me alone? And don't ever call me Young Master! Because I'm not your master!" Nathan grumbled as quietly as possible, but his irritation was clear.

He pressed the button on the coffee machine as Louis quickly pulled his hand away.

"What's wrong with you?!" Nathan shouted, annoyed. He didn't care about being the center of attention now.

"Nathan!" Daniel from the other end of the room tried to warn him.

Nathan took a deep breath and stared at Louis. "I'm not leaving!"

He was about to turn around when Louis grabbed his arm. He glared, pulling his arm away forcefully. But Louis didn't move at all, nor did he let go.

"Let go of me!" Nathan finally yelled, pulling his arm away with all his strength. But Louis still didn't let go or move.

Nathan couldn't understand how Louis could be so strong. He couldn't even open the man's fingers that were gripping his arm so tightly.

"What do you want?! Let go!" Nathan shouted even louder.

Ray looked confused and quickly took over to serve the customers. Daniel came out of his room.

"Can you guys not make a scene?" Daniel said softly but with obvious annoyance.

Nathan snorted, still trying to free himself from Louis's grip. The man didn't say a word, just stood there silently with a calm expression that irritated Nathan.

Louis only let go when Nathan promised to leave.

And here he was now, in the car with his arms crossed and a frown on his face.

"Can't you just leave me alone? I'm not a child you have to watch over!" Nathan grumbled.

That family was really annoying. A rich family bringing bodyguards everywhere they went. Just to show off, right? What was the point of having so many bodyguards as if they were important people? Who would want to kill them anyway?

Nathan continued to grumble to himself.

"Where else do you want to go, Young Master?" asked Louis, still circling around the city.

Nathan took a deep breath. "I told you again, don't ever call me Young Master! Ridiculous!"

Louis looked at him from the rearview mirror. "Do you want me to call you by your name?" he asked politely.

"Yes, my name is Nathan. Call me Nathan."

Louis smiled. "All right, if that's what you want. Where else do you want to go, Nathan?"

Nathan felt strange about the man calling him by his name, but it was better than being called Young Master.

Nathan thought hard. He didn't want to go back to the mansion. What could he do? He just realized how boring his life had been. Apart from school, cafes, and the orphanage, he had nowhere else to go. Maybe once in a while Vale would ask him to go out.

But now Vale was at school. He felt even more inferior since he didn't have any friends other than Vale.

Nathan reached into his jacket pocket where he kept Alexander's black card. He had seen a similar card used by Vale, although it was a different color. So he believed he could use the card to shop.

"I can use this card to buy something, right?" asked Nathan.

Louis glanced at him briefly and nodded. "That's right. Do you want to go shopping?"

Nathan didn't answer. He remembered the children at the orphanage. He hadn't said anything yet. Were they worried about him? Probably not. It seemed like Alexander had taken care of everything.

Even so, he wanted to visit them. It would be better if he could bankrupt Alexander.

He would shop as much as possible!

But before that, he made sure Louis confirmed that he could really use the card. He didn't want to end up carrying a lot of stuff only to find out that the card didn't work. He would be embarrassed.

Louis nodded reassuringly. "If you're worried, I bring my card in case you need it," he said.

Nathan finally asked Louis to take him to the market.

"What do you want to buy?" asked Louis.

"A lot. I want to buy clothes, bags, shoes, jackets for adults as well as children, and also babies," said Nathan. He was sure Louis would be surprised to hear how much he was going to spend today.

Just wait and see, he thought.

But Louis just nodded. "We'd better go to the mall. You can choose from many brands there."

Nathan looked hesitant but let Louis take him there. It turned out that Louis's presence was very helpful.

He didn't know how Louis knew everything he wanted to buy, so they saved time.

Meanwhile, in Alexander's office.

He had just woken up after a sleepless night. And he woke up to a lot of notifications about his card purchases. He frowned as he looked at the names of the stores. He recognized some of them as baby supply stores. Why would Nathan buy baby supplies?

Alexander felt his heart beat faster instantly. His eyes widened. He looked at Huan.

"Huan, could Nathan have a child?" he asked.

Huan looked serious. The handsome young man with glasses looked surprised. He had investigated Nathan the day after his birthday to avoid any unwanted incidents since they were not allowed to get involved with Nathan before he turned seventeen.

And he didn't find anything strange, let alone Nathan having a child.

"I'm not sure. He's never been in a relationship with anyone. It seems impossible for him to have a child, especially with his personality. He values education very much. I'm sure he's very rational and mature," said Huan, reassuringly.

Alexander took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "You're right. It seems impossible. But why did he buy things at a baby store?"

"Maybe it wasn't baby supplies, but he bought something else?" said Huan.

Alexander shook his head. "I don't understand."

He couldn't wait and called Louis to ask. He immediately breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the man's explanation that Nathan was buying for the children at the orphanage.

He put his phone on the table. "He really gave me a heart attack."

Then he looked again at how much the boy had spent. He sent a message to Louis to make sure Nathan bought everything he needed without any burden, because he saw that Nathan didn't spend much for the size of the purchase for all the children in the orphanage.

Nathan looked at Louis in surprise because the man kept persuading him to buy more items. He was already sure that he would upset Alexander after spending two thousand euros.

But he was shocked when he ended up spending nearly twenty thousand euros for the total of seventy-four orphanage residents. He was speechless in disbelief when he looked back at the receipts in the car.

He wanted to make Alexander's heart attack, but it seemed like his own heart was attacking first.
