Chapter 53 - Chapter 53

In Cocoyasi Village, Kaoru Tsubasa stood before Luffy and the others, explaining the nature of Haki.

"Haki is the essence of willpower," Tsubasa said calmly. "It's the energy that flows through all living things — what separates the strong from the weak."

After the explanation, he began teaching them how to manifest that invisible force — the domineering aura that defined true warriors of the sea.

Meanwhile, in the holy city of Mary Geoise, deep among the flower gardens, a confrontation was unfolding.

"Who are you?"

Imu's expression turned cold. The shadowy ruler of the world government stared at the figure standing before him — a man clad in silver armor, his face hidden behind a helmet.

No one was supposed to reach this sanctum unnoticed. Yet, this intruder stood calmly, surrounded by petals drifting in the air.

"I am a messenger of God," the armored man said, his voice echoing like thunder behind the mask.

"God?" Imu sneered. "How amusing. I am the god of this world."

He raised his hand, ready to unleash the power of his Devil Fruit — but before he could act, the air itself began to tremble.

BOOM—

A suffocating aura poured out of the armored man, so overwhelming that Imu's knees buckled. His body refused to move.

"Are you defying divine command?"

Behind the man, a massive eye opened — vast, ancient, and filled with light that pierced the soul.

Imu's arrogance melted instantly. He dropped to one knee. "I understand… Lord."

The great eye glowed brighter for a moment.

"Gado — remain here. Assist him."

With those words, the eye vanished, and the armored man disappeared into nothingness.

Back in Cocoyasi Village, a sudden voice echoed inside Kaoru Tsubasa's mind.

[Ding! A being from another world has entered the One Piece world through special means.]

[Updating status panel…]

[Status panel updated.]

Luffy and the others, who had been practicing Haki, froze as they heard the mysterious sound in their heads.

Tsubasa motioned for them to continue training while he checked his newly updated status panel.

Tsubasa's eyes narrowed as he noticed something new. "A combat level system? I've seen this before…"

Curious, he realized the panel now allowed him to analyze others' stats. He immediately checked Luffy's information.

Conqueror's Haki (Unawakened)

"Only nine thousand?" Tsubasa muttered. "That's… odd."

Based on CP9's strength metrics from Enies Lobby, Luffy's power level should've been around four to five thousand. Even now, he might not have reached nine.

He switched to Zoro's profile.

[Roronoa Zoro]

Combat Level: 12,000

Abilities:

Master of One-Sword, Two-Sword, Three-Sword, and Nine-Sword Styles

Conqueror's Haki (Unawakened)

"Zoro's level is three thousand higher than Luffy's," Tsubasa noted, impressed.

It made sense — Zoro had been challenging himself relentlessly since joining the crew: from Cabaji to Tsubasa himself, to the Bloodthirster, and even Mihawk. His growth was nothing short of monstrous.

Next, he checked Sanji and Usopp.

Sanji's combat level: 8,800.

Usopp's: 2,000 — but it jumped to 4,000 the moment he picked up his slingshot.

"A doubling effect… so weapons amplify his latent power," Tsubasa murmured.

Far away in Mary Geoise, Gado spoke to Imu in a low voice.

"I can sense… someone from our shared origin."

"Then send someone to locate him," Imu replied sharply.

Gado handed her a small vial of blood and a watch-like device.

"This will detect others of our kind. The blood will grant immense power — but at a cost."

Imu narrowed her eyes. "I'll handle it."

She passed both items to the Five Elders, ordering CP0 to find the person indicated by the device.

The agent chosen was codenamed Eagle.

Eagle followed the watch's signal all the way to Marineford, headquarters of the Navy.

With his mastery of Rokushiki, he slipped silently into Fleet Admiral Sengoku's office.

"As a CP agent, what business do you have here?" Sengoku asked, irritation clear on his face.

Eagle's tone was calm but commanding. "By order of the Five Elders, I'm here to locate a target. Your cooperation is required, Marshal Sengoku."

Sengoku frowned but complied. Though the Navy operated separately, the World Government technically held authority.

Inside the Navy conference room, the admirals gathered.

"Why call us all here, Sengoku?" drawled Aokiji, reclining lazily in his chair.

His eyes flicked toward Eagle — and instantly, the atmosphere shifted.

Kizaru fell silent. Even the Vice Admirals looked uneasy.

Akainu, however, scowled. "What the hell is CP0 doing here?"

Sengoku ignored him, waiting until all officers were present.

"So," he said at last, "who exactly are you looking for?"

Eagle raised his right hand. The watch glowed red — and its beam locked onto Kizaru.

"Admiral Kizaru," Eagle said coolly, "you'll come with me."

Sengoku stiffened. "Are you implying Kizaru is a spy?"

"I never said that," Eagle replied evenly. "My orders are simply to bring the marked individual to Mary Geoise."

Kizaru's usual smirk faltered. "Scary stuff, Marshal… do I have to go?"

He could feel something deep inside him react — a presence he didn't want the World Government to uncover.

"Kizaru, go with him," Sengoku said firmly.

But Kizaru's voice hardened. "Sorry, I can't. Not this time."

Before Eagle could react, a voice echoed in his mind — the command of the Five Elders themselves.

"Withdraw, Eagle."

He clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Very well. For now."

He turned and left the headquarters, vanishing into the sky.

Sengoku watched him go, his gaze lingering on Kizaru, who was already preparing to flash-step away.

Back in Mary Geoise, Eagle slammed a hand against the wall. "Why stop me? I could've captured him!"

The Elder of Finance adjusted his glasses. "Lord Imu's command. We still need Kizaru's light powers to complete the Pacifista project."

Eagle exhaled sharply. "Hmph."

He turned as the Elder spoke into a Den Den Mushi.

"Vegapunk, status report."

"We're nearly finished," came the scientist's voice. "Once we integrate Kizaru's Pika-Pika no Mi abilities, the prototype will be complete."

"Finish it now," the Elder ordered coldly. "And if Moria refuses to cooperate — eliminate him."

"Understood," Vegapunk replied.

A few days later — Alabasta, Rainbase.

Crocodile sat behind his desk, cigar smoke curling around him. Suddenly, a man in black appeared out of thin air.

"Who are you?" Crocodile demanded, his tone sharp.

"Relax," the stranger said, sitting down casually. He set a small vial of blood on the table. "I'm here to make a deal."

Crocodile raised an eyebrow. "What kind of deal?"

"I can give you power beyond imagination," the man said smoothly. "In return… you'll destroy the Nefertari royal family."

Crocodile exhaled a plume of smoke. "You think you can offer me power?" he sneered. "Even Whitebeard wouldn't dare say that."

The man snapped his fingers.

A crushing pressure filled the room. Crocodile fell to one knee, barely able to breathe.

Then, just as suddenly, the weight vanished.

"What… are you?" Crocodile hissed.

"If you wrapped yourself in Armament Haki and struck me," the man said with disdain, "your attack would vanish before touching me."

Crocodile wiped the sweat from his brow. The man wasn't bluffing.

"You don't have to act now," the stranger continued. "Just… when the time comes."

Crocodile hesitated, then nodded. "Fine. I'll do it."

"Excellent." The man smiled faintly. "Then this power is yours."

He left the vial behind and vanished into the night.

When the door shut, Crocodile stared at the bottle — its blood-red glow pulsing faintly.

Outside the casino, the man in black changed into a white uniform — the same one Eagle had worn earlier.

A CP agent wearing a mask approached. "Lord Eagle, aren't you worried giving that thing to Crocodile?"

Eagle's eyes gleamed behind his visor. "I don't trust anything from those old fools. Let Crocodile test it first."

He handed the masked agent a communicator. "Stay here. Watch him. If things go wrong — eliminate him."

The agent bowed. "Understood."

As Eagle disappeared into the night sky, the masked operative lingered in Rainbase, hiding among the crowds — waiting, watching.

And somewhere deep beneath the desert sands of Alabasta…

the world of pirates began to change in ways no one could yet imagine.
