Ella Grant reached out and felt Lenn Perry's pulse.
"Your aftereffects are deeply rooted. Medication alone won't cut it; you'll need acupuncture."
"You know how to do acupuncture?"
Lenn looked at the young girl in surprise, her hands seeming barely bigger than half his.
"I've told you before, don't underestimate me."
Ella said meaningfully before starting to explain Lenn's aftereffects.
As she spoke confidently, a flicker of hope ignited in Lenn 's heart.
"What's the success rate?" he couldn't help but ask.
Ella's brow furrowed instantly, causing Lenn's heart to race.
To his surprise, she merely frowned and retorted, "You don't believe me?"
Lenn couldn't help but chuckle; he really couldn't figure out what this girl was thinking.
"I'm telling you, I can cure you. I have complete confidence in it."
Ella added, "So just relax and trust me."
She was baffled that he still seemed uneasy about her treating him. If it weren't for the fact that he had saved her life before, she wouldn't have bothered with this at all!
Seeing that the little girl was getting anxious, Lenn Perry agreed in a tone as if he were soothing a child.
"Alright, you can handle it however you want."
"My lifelong happiness is in your hands now," Ella Grant replied playfully.
The man wore a half-smile, and Ella felt that there was something off about that statement. She wanted to correct him but ultimately decided against it, thinking it might just be her overthinking.
"So, how's life in the Grant family? I heard your brothers treat you well?" Lenn casually changed the subject.
"It's alright. Except for Dalton Grant, who always gives me a hard time. But since you've spoken up for me, he wouldn't dare cross the line. As for my other brothers, I haven't met the oldest and the fifth, but the rest are fine," Ella said lazily, appearing indifferent.
"And what about your sister? Isn't your fiancé with her now? Aren't you going to get him back?" Lenn observed Ella's somewhat distant attitude toward the Grant family with a sense of unexplainable pleasure.
"Stella Grant? I never said she was my sister. She's not even worthy of being in my presence," Ella scoffed, showing no respect for Stella. That kind of green tea girl? She could tear apart ten of them without breaking a sweat.
As for Quinn Lee, he was a total jerk; she wouldn't even want him if he was given to her for free.
Seeing her disgusted expression, Lenn Pei understood immediately.
"Alright, if anyone from the Grant family gives you trouble, just let me know."
Ella Grant shrugged. She honestly couldn't think of anyone from the Grant family who could pose a threat to her.
The two were casually chatting when they heard footsteps thumping up the stairs.
