Chapter 60 - CHAPTER 60:Dress

Leo Grant rolled his eyes and scoffed; this outfit was quite an eyesore in front of a star like him.

"What a big butterfly you are."

Unbeknownst to Stella, she was completely oblivious to the mockery.

"This dress was a gift from Dad when he went on a business trip to Fashion Week! I heard it cost over ten thousand dollars. I usually can't bear to wear it, but I had to try it on today!"

Now Ella understood why Dalton had said it looked good; he had personally picked it out. Tsk, tsk, tsk—classic straight guy taste.

"Sis, do you need me to find you some nice clothes? I have some that are pretty expensive."

"No need, she has plenty."

Leo Grant shot a glance at Ella Grant, who slowly made her way upstairs.

Stella Grant pretended to be very concerned.

"Are you sure about this? I hope she isn't wearing some cheap outfit she picked up from a street vendor. Isn't that a bit too low-key?"

"It's fine, if it doesn't work, she can always change," Dalton Grant said without hesitation.

Oliver and Leo Grant had seen Ella Grant in that dress before, so they weren't worried at all.

Isaac Grant hadn't seen it yet, but he felt a surge of anticipation.

"Just listen to me, and don't blink," Leo told his clueless younger brother. At first, the younger brother was puzzled, but within a minute, he understood.

As soon as the black dress appeared, everyone's eyes were glued to it.

"Why is she wearing black?" Stella Grant scoffed.

But the next second, she had nothing more to say.

When Ella Grant finally stood before everyone, they could hardly believe that this stunning woman was the same shy girl from the Grant family who used to fade into the background.

Even Dalton Grant was in disbelief, and Isaac Grant felt the same way.

He secretly thought that if he had to guess what a firefly looked like, he would prefer her to look like Ella Grant—she was just so captivating.

"Where did you buy that dress, sis?" Stella asked, her tone dripping with jealousy. "You must have been fooled. This should be from a famous foreign designer; I've only seen it once at an auction. There's no way it's real. You should take it off before you end up being the laughingstock."

"Why do I have to change it?"

Ella Grant looked down at her with an air of superiority.

"Because it's fake..." Stella Grant was taken aback.

"That was my purchase. Do you really think I would buy a fake?"

Leo Grant's words left Stella speechless, her face turning red with anger.

Even on the way to the dinner party, Stella was still venting to Sabrina Anderson.

"Why are my brothers acting like they've been enchanted? They're all treating Ella Grant so well!"

Sabrina felt a pang of sympathy for her daughter, but her dislike for Elle Grant only grew stronger. It was all her fault for disrupting their long-standing peace. They just needed to wait for Dalton Grant to distribute the inheritance, and then they could finally breathe easy.
