Dr. Hugh nodded in agreement.
When Ella Grant noticed that everyone fell silent upon hearing the name Aiden Grant, her curiosity about this elusive military figure grew even more. She really wanted to see if he was as impressive as people said.
About three or four minutes later, Elijah Grant received a message from Barton Grant.
"Big brother is at the door. I'm going to greet them."
Soon, the sound of tires screeching filled the air, and a pair of shiny leather shoes stepped into the hall. Everyone held their breath.
Leading the way was a man dressed in a black trench coat, his gaze icy and piercing. As his cold eyes swept over everyone in the room, those caught in his stare instinctively straightened up, feeling a chill run down their spines.
He stopped beside the elderly lady. "Grandma, I'm back."
It had been a long time since the old lady had seen her eldest grandson, and under these circumstances, tears glistened in her eyes.
"Good, it's good that you're back."
After comforting his grandmother, Aiden Grant stood up, his expression turning serious, no longer soft in front of her.
Ella Grant quietly observed her older brother.
After all, they were siblings, and he resembled the other brothers in many ways. However, his features were more rugged, with sharper lines that exuded a sense of battle-hardened intensity. It was clear he had faced the horrors of war, which explained why so many people feared him.
Of course, Ella Grant wasn't afraid of him at all.
Her previous life had been similar to that of Aiden, living on the edge and navigating through dangerous situations.
Given Aiden's current achievements, which were no small feat, Ella had a good impression of him.
Just as he was lost in thought, Aiden Grant suddenly turned his head and locked eyes with Ella Grant. She held his gaze fearlessly, tilting her chin up confidently.
Aiden didn't show it on his face, but he was genuinely surprised inside. This girl wasn't afraid of him at all?
Having spent so long on the battlefield, he had developed a heavy aura. Over the years, those with a bit of fear in them would often run away at the sight of him. Some even told stories to their kids, comparing him to a monster, and the kids would be so scared by his name that they wouldn't dare to cry.
Her name was Ella Grant, right?
He had entered the military camp early and had been too busy with work to return home, so he hadn't kept in touch with his brothers much. Sabrina Anderson and her daughter always acted differently in front of him, keeping their true selves in check.
Aiden had heard Dalton Grant mention Ella before, saying that this daughter was beyond discipline, and that even her father couldn't do anything about her. Now, seeing her not even flinch at his presence and argue back, it didn't surprise him at all.
What intrigued Aiden even more was that after staring at him for a moment, Ella lowered her head, as if she found nothing about him appealing.
Interesting.
"Second brother, where's Dad? How is he doing?"
Following Aiden into the room was a man with round glasses and a refined demeanor. This must be their youngest brother, Is Oliver Grant.
Hearing his question, Stella Grant immediately perked up.
"Big brother, you need to see Dad quickly! He's not going to make it!".
