Oliver Grant was about to speak up for Ella Grant when he heard a man's voice interject.
"But I think Miss Grant doesn't deserve this," the man said.
Ella was surprised that someone was speaking up for her.
Mrs. Grant, Megan Lee, shot him a furious glare. "Mr. Grant An, you keep quiet! This is not your place to speak!"
She was shocked that it was Mr. Grant An who dared to voice his opinion.
Ella had no impression of Mr. Grant An since they had never spoken before. Like her past self, Mr. Grant An had a very low presence in the Grant family.
If he hadn't spoken up in front of everyone, no one would have remembered that the Grant family patriarch had such a son.
The reason was simple: Mr. Grant An was not Mrs. Grant's biological son.
Mr. Grant An held back and chose to remain silent.
The old lady looked at Ella with a complex expression, clearly feeling pity for her beloved granddaughter.
But with so many opinions swirling around, she found it hard to make a decision.
Oliver stepped forward and said to the old lady, "What Mr. Grant An said does have some merit. Grandma, we shouldn't jump to conclusions until we have the doctor's report."
"Let's wait for the doctor's results first."
Leo chimed in with a cold laugh, "So eager to kick my sister out? Why not wait and hear what the doctor has to say?"
Stella Grant was furious to see her brothers continuously defending Ella Grant, even openly acknowledging her as their sister in front of the entire family. It felt like a slap in the face! This was all supposed to belong to her alone! How dare Ella Grant take it away from her!
"Brothers, you're being too kind! She's only been in our home for a short time, and already she's openly defying Dad, making him this upset!"
"If you keep protecting her like this, Big Brother would definitely scold you!"
Tears welled up in Stella's eyes as she looked at them, her face full of grievance.
Oliver Grant shot her a sideways glance. "Big Brother will be here soon. Let's see how he decides."
Stella froze for a moment.
Isaac Grant chimed in, "With such a big issue at hand, how could they not come? I've already notified them; Big Brother and First Brother are on their way."
Hearing that Big Brother was coming made Stella shrink back a little. If there was anyone in the Grant family she feared the most, it was definitely aidenGrant. Just the thought of his ice-cold, serious face—much more intimidating than Oliver's—made her heart race.
"Since Aiden is coming, let's wait for him to make the decision," the matriarch said, her head aching from the noise of the ongoing discussions.
"First, let's focus on treating Dalton. Dr. Hugh, please consult some specialists from the hospital to figure out why Dalton is in a coma. Getting him awake is our top priority."
