The explosion didn't last long, almost instantaneous, but its impact on Tang San was far from fleeting.
He immediately revealed a mask of pain on the Sea God's Throne, his body instinctively arching to try and lessen the agony.
Physical pain was nothing to a god; the real issue was the excruciating pain deep within his soul, striking his very consciousness.
The explosion shattered Tang San's soul into nine pieces, and he instinctively tried to use his divine power to mend the broken pieces.
"Stop!"
"Don't touch my soul, you're courting death!"
A familiar voice suddenly rang out in Tang San's consciousness; it was clearly Tang San's own voice.
"That's right!"
"What do you want?! You think you can touch my soul?"
Tang San was bewildered. His consciousness was a complete mess, with nine voices clashing within him, including his own.
"Who are you?!"
"How did you get into my mind?!"
A voice quickly emerged, directly confronting him.
"What nonsense are you spouting? I'm the Sea God!"
"I should be asking who you are!!"
"You dare to try and take control of my body!"
"You're asking for trouble!"
Before the words were even finished, Tang San's divine sense was mobilized, attempting to seize control of his body.
Tang San's pupils constricted, and he hurriedly suppressed the rebellious divine sense.
"Your body?"
"Are you kidding me?"
"That's my body!"
Another divine sense emerged, seizing Tang San's left hand while he was distracted, then delivering a resounding slap to his left cheek.
"Utter rubbish!"
"I, the God of Asura, have never seen such a shameless person!"
A third divine sense emerged and took control of Tang San's right leg.
"Back then, I pacified the Spirit Hall and slew the Angel and Rakshasa Gods! And now I've fallen to this state!"
"I am the true master of this body!"
A fourth divine sense forcefully took over Tang San's left leg.
The other consciousnesses were not to be outdone.
The fifth controlled the right hand, the sixth the torso, and the seventh defied the odds and seized control of the corpus cavernosum.
The eighth consciousness, suppressed by the main consciousness, seized the opportunity to take over the right cheek.
Of the enormous body, Tang San could only control his left cheek, which was still burning from the slap he'd just received.
"Damn it!"
"How can one body contain nine consciousnesses?!"
"Your name is already in the Book of Life and Death! You have a path to death!"
"Ha! What good are words? Dare to fight me?"
"Whoever wins will be the master of this body!"
Tang San watched as his body began to move, stepping off the throne.
Then, his left hand attacked his right, his right leg slammed into his left, his torso attempted to rebel, his right cheek winked and stuck out its tongue to attack his left.
Even his corpus cavernosum began to swell with blood, trying to fight back against his left and right legs.
Even Michael Jackson, seeing Tang San's movements, would have to take off his glasses and analyze frame by frame—he was now the true King of Dance!
Tang San's main consciousness immediately understood what had happened.
Each of his soul fragments possessed its own consciousness.
The fragment containing his main consciousness was the largest and most central, holding the most control.
"Stop it, all of you!"
His main consciousness suddenly exerted its power, using its advantage of possessing the largest soul fragment to forcibly suppress the other eight consciousnesses, barely managing to take over the entire body.
After only a brief moment of silence, the other eight consciousnesses began to surge even more wildly, even uniting to attack the main consciousness.
"This guy has the most control, kill him first!"
"Damn it! My spongy body is too short, I can't attack this guy's face!"
"How dare you ride on my head, you deserve to die!"
Tang San had heard "you deserve to die" countless times; these guys practically used it as a period.
"I said! Stop it, all of you!"
"Then listen to me!"
Tang San gritted his teeth and used a large amount of divine sense to suppress the consciousness of these guys.
When he was almost exhausted of all the controllable divine sense, he finally managed to suppress them.
"You all have memories!
You should know what just happened?
We were ambushed by those nascent beings of the Original Sin God!" "
Originally, you were all part of my consciousness, but now you've separated.
Listen to me first, and then we'll find a way to restore you."
After a moment of silence, one of the consciousnesses spoke sarcastically:
"Listen to you?"
"What a joke!
"Reunite?"
"Just a delaying tactic. You probably don't want to devour us directly, do you?"
"In your eyes, we all have a way to die."
"Let's be frank! We're all Tang San. Who doesn't know our little schemes?"
"Don't talk about reunifying!"
"Either fight or shut up!"
Tang San felt a bit of a sore throat.
All eight consciousnesses were "Tang San," and each one had memories.
He knew very well that not only was he, the main consciousness, also trying to devour other consciousnesses and dominate this body.
The one who understands Tang San best is Tang San himself.
Words alone won't convince them. The most urgent task now is to divert internal conflict and at least get his body back under control.
He's already struggling to suppress these guys with his divine sense; let alone the next action, if this continues, he'll likely be ganged up on and killed once his divine sense is exhausted.
He knows himself too well.
If these guys realize they can't have this body, they'd rather destroy it than let it benefit someone else.
"Isn't our priority revenge?"
"Who turned us into this?"
"Wasn't it those original sin gods who are already on the verge of death?"
"Unite against the enemy first!"
The eight consciousnesses paused for a moment, slowly releasing their struggle for the body, allowing Tang San to catch his breath.
"Those bastards, the God of Original Sin, deserve to die! How dare they plot against me?"
"I really underestimated them!"
"Even if they explode, why not explode them evenly?
What's the meaning of having pieces that are big and pieces that are small?"
"Kill those Gods of Original Sin first!"
"Then what happens? Who will control this body?
We'll still have to fight, won't we?
Don't tell me about co-controlling it, that's unrealistic!"
Tang San's mind raced, and he hurriedly said,
"Body creation isn't that difficult."
"I will create eight more bodies for you to use later."
"Then, we'll work together to fight the God of Destruction!"
"Tang San doesn't lie to Tang San!"
The eight consciousnesses released their last restraints on Tang San, seemingly acquiescing to his plan.
Tang San finally breathed a sigh of relief, a fierce glint appearing in his eyes, directed both at the Gods of Original Sin and at these consciousnesses.
One world can't even accommodate two Tang Sans, let alone nine.
Don't you know yourself well enough? After giving them bodies, they will definitely try to kill everyone else, including himself.
Tang San will not allow another Tang San to appear!
Coincidentally, the other eight consciousnesses thought the same thing.
Tang San #1: "A righteous death! Who would believe you? I'll kill you when your soul is split."
Tang San #2: "A righteous death! Tang San doesn't lie to Tang San? If I believed that, would I still be Tang San? We'll see when your soul splits!"
Tang San #4: "Do you think I'd give you a God-King level body and divine position for free? You think I'm some kind of con artist? We'll see when your soul splits!"
Tang San #5: "Do you think I'd give you Xiao Wu for free? She's my wife! I'll play you to death when your soul splits!"
Tang San #6: "My soul fragment is the smallest; I might not be able to guarantee they won't attack me first. I must strike first!"
...
Tang San #9: "You dare call yourselves Tang San? Just wait, this world only allows one Tang San to exist!"
Although they each had their own thoughts, they all said together:
"Revenge first!"
