In a separate timeline from Marvel's events, the Eternals still exist — scattered across galaxies after the collapse of their home world. One of them, Sersi, once descended to a primitive Earth and, moved by compassion, altered human DNA with her molecular-manipulation powers. The result was the birth of the Cosmic Gene — the hidden cosmic factor that would one day evolve into Quirks.
Centuries later, Ikaris is sent to investigate strange energy readings on this same planet. To his shock, he finds a civilization built entirely on powers born from Sersi's interference. Some Eternals view this world as a miracle worth guiding; others see it as a contamination that must be erased.
Caught between loyalty to his kind and the empathy he feels for humanity, Ikaris must decide whether to protect Sersi's legacy or stop it from consuming the world.
