Chapter 30 - 3 Heads: N, L, S

3 heads

Unable to fall back asleep, the brute lay on his back, the king-sized bed hardly able to contain his frame. Liam stared blankly at the ceiling before reaching for his phone. Holding it between two fingers, he swiped upward—mindless muscle memory. No notifications. No connection.

A quiet scoff escaped him. Right… no Wi-Fi.

For a brief moment, he considered calling Mr. N to ask for the password. But the idea of hearing that man's voice right now? Not worth it.

With a resigned sigh, he flicked on mobile data, biting the bullet. The internet flickered to life.

The first thing that caught his eye—

"The sea creatures in Antarctica evolved to fit the current climate. Scientists put so many chemicals in the water to keep the place cold that it mutated the fish."

He blinked. Cool, he thought. And extremely cursed.

He sighed again, heavier this time.

For the next half hour, Liam mindlessly scrolled, watching videos, reading headlines, skipping ads. The glow of the screen painted tired shapes across his face. But rest wouldn't come.

Instead, he moved.

Push-ups. Handstand push-ups. Then music. More scrolling. Then back on his feet again.

It became a restless loop.

Every few minutes, repeating the same cycle like a man trying to outrun something he couldn't name.

After almost two hours of this quiet chaos, fatigue finally started to catch up with him.

He collapsed onto the mattress, rolling over to his left, hoping this time it would stick.

But as his eyes lazily drifted toward the far corner of the room…

He froze.

There, half-lit in the darkness, stood a figure.

Still. Silent. Pale.

A ghost.

Dread and shame filled his system. Liam saw a face he hadn't seen in years, but one he could never forget. Someone who survived the same place he did.

Liam: "Siegfreed, I know you're there. I can smell you."

Siegfreed, also known as "Freya" or Parasite, was a world-class criminal. They had skillfully placed themselves in a position where Aspera, the sniper, wasn't able to see them as they spied on Liam. As the giant chameleon lay on top of them, they blended in perfectly with the corner of the room.

As Siegfreed sat in their corner by the balcony, a feminine, awkward voice appeared, stuttering repeatedly.

Siegfreed: "Aha… S-smell me? Aha… Well, you're funny… aha, that's embarrassing."

"You've gained weight," Liam muttered, his face visibly disgusted.

As Siegfreed avoided eye contact, the short figure stepped out from their hiding spot.

"T-thank you. I-I've been on my pills… and I've been healthy." They blushed deeply, unable to hold eye contact.

"But why do you smell like shit?" Liam scoffed.

"I took an extra shower after I hid in Roci's stomach. I would've been here earlier if I hadn't. I promise you. I'll always be here for you."

Yes—she escaped prison by getting swallowed whole by Roci, the massive anaconda they controlled. The perfect decoy. When the snake slithered into the river and disappeared beneath the surface, the world assumed they died—body and all. The prison guards would never try to rescue them. Why would they?

No one considered the truth: that Freya was alive, curled inside the belly of the beast, biding their time. But who could have ever known the truth of their abilities?

Liam came to his own conclusion."And you took the bird to get here? Rocrow?"

They nodded as they jumped through the window, running toward Liam with open arms.

Liam held out his palm. His war-torn, jittery hands caused Freya to freeze in place, knowing that if they went any further than Liam was comfortable with, they would die.

Liam: "You reek of semen. You make me sick."

Freya, ashamed and heartbroken, hitched their breath as they became emotional.

Freya: "I—I'm sorry. I can't help myself. It's just… when I think about you, I—"

Liam went to speak, but Freya's voice cracked loudly, almost like trauma spilling out."I promise I was going to get rid of it. But I—I just never did."

As they scrambled their words, they blushed."But it's okay… It's so small and pathetic anyway, it basically doesn't exist…"

Liam's gaze pierced them, cold and unrelenting.

A silent promise lingered in the air: Say one more word…

Siegfreed stopped talking, holding their breath, looking down in shame.

"I'm already small… but you always make me feel even smaller," Siegfreed muttered, their voice tinged with sadness.

"Don't put this on me. You see me for the first time in years, and that's the energy you come with?" Liam whispered, disappointed.

Liam: "How did you get in here? As a matter of fact, how did you even find me already? We left two days ago."

Siegfreed: "Please don't be mad at me. You understand, right? Right, Liam? I had to make sure you were okay. I care about you, you know. Like… a lot…"

Four hours passed as Liam and Siegfreed sat awkwardly on opposite sides of the room.

Liam finally spoke up."Listen… sigh… if I made you cry—I didn't mean—"

Mr. N walked into the room, finally relaxed, his politics under control. He seemed to be in a better mood, his hands lazily tucked into his pockets.

"What does my favorite future Elite Guard want now?" he bragged.

"How are you settling in—"

"WHOS THATTTT???"

Mr. N's eyes popped wide.

As his retina scanned for criminals, he immediately understood.

White.

Argentinian.

Feminine in stature.

5'3.

That's the world-class criminal Parasite.

A monster of mass pestilence.

Mr. N immediately broke into a cold sweat.

He prepared to kill—

 Three Heads Mr. N

—Crash.

A vision forced its way into Mr. N's mind.

The Dragon has three heads—

One crowned, one crimson red,

One lost in dreams instead.

Monarch. Murderer. Madman.

All born from the same flame.

Tell me, Mr. N… are these not your names?
