Flashback
Travis Lieutenant(2) for Elite Gaurd Rank 2: Stood frozen, eyes fixed on the brutal clash between Liam and Two. The roar of the fight drowned out the world. He never sensed Siegfreed watching him from behind.
With a small, quiet motion, Siegfreed gave his command. The swarm obeyed instantly. Appearing almost out of nowhere. Hundreds of insects rushed Travis at once, slipping past his guard and flooding straight into his open mouth before he could even gasp.
He stumbled back, choking and clawing at his throat, but the bugs were already deep inside him. It was over.
This was the power of Argentina's Weapon.
"The Voice of GOD"
Nearby, York, the 2nd lieutenant, tried to react, but the moment she moved, the ground around her erupted with life.
Thousands of insects, small animals, even snakes surged after her in a chaotic tide. She fought them off with efficiency, but the moment she turned her head, a hawk blitzed her, taking her eye out of her head like it was a bug.
Her scream tore through the battlefield as the bird ripped her eye clean from its socket.
But Travis suffered the worst fate.
The swarm attacking him grew so dense, so overwhelming, that they lifted him off his feet. His body rose into the air, carried by sheer numbers, his limbs limp as the insects consumed him from the inside out.
Siegfreed, sensing Travis was still alive, finished him before helping Liam who just now lost his arm.
Travis vomited a thick, yellow slime mixed with blood. He could feel the bugs eating through his insides.
His strength faded. His vision dimmed. Travis went limp, falling through the air as he lost consciousness—dropping to his death.
Back in the Present
Siegfreed got off the deer as he stood in the forest attacking from afar.
Lieutenant (1) of Elite Gaurd Rank 2 York stood atop a tree. Half of her arm was eaten alive by insects, missing her eye. She spat maggots out of her mouth as they crawled through her nose. She cried, coughing. It was a fucking nightmare, but she stayed strong.
Initally, Siegfreed had used 70% of his pestilence on York and 30% on Travis. York had the life force of an Elite Gaurd.
But now he was to focus 90% of it on Elite Gaurd Rank 2 to save Liam. As Liam is easily getting overwhelmed.
As Liam is easily getting overwhelmed, the difference becomes obvious.
Two doesn't fight like a normal swordsman.
Blades move everywhere.
Not just in his hands, but around him, between his fingers, switching grips mid-motion, spinning, catching, releasing. One sword cuts high, another follows low, a third comes from an angle that shouldn't even be possible. There's no rhythm to read, no pattern to adapt to. It's pressure from every direction at once.
It's like fighting a storm made of steel.
He blocks one blade, barely.
Another slices across his ribs.
He blocks one two three with his legs as he spin kicks Two backwards he flips breakdances into a kick cycle that two effectively blocks using 5 different sword techniques.
Then the insects started to appear, a snake beneath the grass a giant Bird.
But Two jumped then stabbed killing the snake, ducking the bird before executing it with a throwing knife spinning his spear to destroy the insects with wind pressure.
Liam kicks he dodged parries double jumping backwards before tossing a knife into the neck of a bear who tried to pick up his bag of weapons with its mouth. He turned around and was greeted with a kick to the chest by Liam sending him flying before he quickly recovered, wiping blood from his mouth.
York raised her two arms. One was only bone. Putting her hands on her flute, she played her song, activating her weapon.
Elite Guard Rank 2's eyes opened wide. "York?"
Siegfreed sent more insects to Two.
Two swung with dangerous efficiency, each swing so powerful it ripped the insects to shreds in the air, all while keeping Liam at bay.
Suddenly, the swarm began to falter. Their movements slowed, their coordination crumbled. Siegfreed staggered, clamping his hands over his ears as the sharp notes of a flute sliced through the battlefield.
The sound tore into his senses, his vision flickered, his body convulsed, nearly dropping him into a seizure.
Wild bears sprinted from the forest, rushing toward Siegfreed in a desperate attempt to shield him from the sound.
"LIAM! KILL HER! She's disrupting my animals!" Siegfreed shouted, his voice cracking with panic. His signals and communication network were being disrupted, like channels of static in his ears. He could no longer speak to his creatures.
Two tried to follow, but Liam was too quick.
"He's faster than me? What the fuck?" Two's eyes widened. "These physical specs… even among the monsters on this island, he's in the top one percent?!"
Elite Guard Rank 2 realized chasing was pointless.
He chose differently.
Seizing the moment, Two gripped his heavy spear, twisted his stance, and hurled it with monstrous force. The weapon screamed across a 800M distance in under half a second.
Siegfreed, barely conscious, was surrounded by six massive bears.
Five were impaled instantly.
The spear tore through them like wet paper, slamming their lifeless corpses into a tree so hard the tree toppled over.
Siegfreed felt the wind of death pass within inches of his face. He collapsed, trembling violently.
With no time left, Liam moved on instinct. He had to protect Siegfreed. He was their only chance of surviving this.
Two used this oppurtunity to gather his scattered weapons across the battlefield.
York was still playing her flute. Liam didn't waste a second.
He hurled his severed arm at her with full power, taking inspiration from "Two" his arm was thrown like a spear of flesh and bone. The sudden attack forced York to stop playing, her eyes widening in shock. She twisted her body, barely dodging the impaling strike, and kicked the flying limb aside.
That split second was all Liam needed.
He launched himself upward, landing on the branch beside her with explosive force. York lifted her arm to block—
but Liam's kick was monstrous.
The impact cracked through the air like thunder. York was blasted backward, her posture and guard broken alongside her arms, her body hurling through the forest. She snapped through bush and bark until she hit the ground hard, the flute snapping in half beneath her weight.
The battlefield fell silent.
The sound that had crippled Siegfreed was gone.
Siegfreed used his birds to retrieve the broken flute, alongside his biggest bird available, Freefrozer, a 10-foot radioactive mutated eagle, to pick Liam up and fly him into the air.
Siegfreed was now at less than 50% capacity.
He used another bird to focus on retrieving Liam's arm. Then Siegfreed used a mass amount of flying insects to take himself away.
He focused his final attack of poisonous insects and utilized every animal in the forest.
Siegfreed's nose bled profusely, as his eyes went bloodshot red, his brain melting through his ear as he utlized his final attack to kill Elite Gaurd Rank 2.
This amount of focus could potentially lead to a seizure. It was Siegfreed's final attack.
Elite Guard Rank 2 once again called on his Gods: Lilith, Moloch, Azazel.
Take me with you.
Two tightened his grip on his bag of weapons, every movement precise and controlled. His voice cut through the air.
"I'm going to die here," Two proclaimed.
"I can't win, it is—"
"Just kidding."
He stuck out his tongue playfully as he laughed.
"Ancient Art Form 2… Dance of Two Thousand Blades."
