Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 Miracle Doctor, please spare me!

How to put it? Usually, Mo Yu was the type to be a lone wolf; he didn't interact much with other males, let alone females. Now, surrounded by a group of young girls, he could only say he was genuinely struggling to keep it together.

More importantly, cosplayers are often middle school or high school students, especially in a prefecture-level city without many universities. In other words, Mo Yu was essentially surrounded by a group of children, and he was not good at taking care of children at all.

Fortunately, for the local circle, he was an outsider with no close friends or relatives. Even though he was surrounded by many cosplayers, as the Anime Convention ticket checks began, the surrounding crowd finally started to disperse.

"Hoo--"

Mo Yu took a deep breath, gently wiping the sweat from his forehead. Compared to normal makeup, this was his advantage: even if he sweated, his makeup wouldn't run at all. And as everyone knows, cosplaying in summer, with sweat causing makeup to run, can be a nightmarish disaster, and it's basically unavoidable.

In fact, even if these cosplayers had him flustered, Mo Yu might not have broken a sweat. After all, he was the Red Dragon now.

After his ticket was scanned, Mo Yu followed the flow of people into the Anime Convention. A "hotel convention" meant the organizers rented large spaces like hotel ballrooms as venues. Consequently, as the crowd poured in, the entire Anime Convention area became quite crowded.

Blended into the crowd, Mo Yu didn't seem so conspicuous, though occasionally passersby would come up to him for a group photo.

Mo Yu wandered around the convention for a while, finally finding a relatively spacious empty spot. Then, he set up the sign he had prepared beforehand.

The sign read a few characters - "Xuanhu Jishi" (Curing the Sick and Saving the World).

Originally, Mo Yu had wanted to make a sign that said "Curing All Diseases," but he felt it was a bit too arrogant. Although anything goes for a prank at an Anime Convention, he wasn't just doing a prank; he genuinely could cure illnesses.

With the sign set up and the banner hung, Mo Yu's simple stall quickly attracted a lot of attention.

However, most people didn't take it seriously, only viewing it as a prank, especially since the character was Lingsha.

"Doctor Lingsha, how do you suggest we treat our illness?"

A girl's voice came from a distance. Her voice was heard before she was seen, and then a man and a woman directly slid on their knees to Mo Yu's stall.

These two cosplayers were portraying Gintoki and Kagura from Gintama. However, when Mo Yu saw the face of the Gintoki cosplayer, he instantly struggled to keep it together.

Yes, although the two were cosplaying Gintama, they weren't doing a typical Gintama; they were doing an abstract Gintama.

Mo Yu's assessment of this was - anyone who couldn't help but laugh at Gintoki's face was truly a remarkable person.

"Uh... I suggest you two go to the Rich Department, and then get a specialist appointment at KFC. I believe the experts in those two departments will give you a satisfactory answer."

"Wo! Thank you, Doctor Lingsha! A divine doctor!"

Saying this, Kagura, who was beside him, even exaggeratedly struck a bowing pose. The surrounding onlookers snapped a few sets of photos. After they finished, Gintoki, beside him, also broke into a joyful smile, but his smile combined with the expression on his face made Mo Yu feel uncomfortably stifled.

"Thank you, Teacher!"

Yes, this Gintoki cosplayer was a girl.

"You're welcome, but to speak off-topic--"

Mo Yu said, shaking his head, letting out a soft sigh, then lowered his voice and whispered.

"Even if she's a girl... she needs to exercise moderation."

After hearing Mo Yu's words, the Gintoki cosplayer's cheerful smile instantly froze. Her cheeks flushed directly to her ears, and she awkwardly lowered her head, with a hint of surprise in her eyes.

"Uh... Teacher... you..."

"I am indeed a doctor, and you... indeed carry an unusual scent."

Mo Yu chuckled. This was the benefit of enhanced smell. Of course, besides that, some clues could also be seen from this Gintoki cosplayer's eyes and skin condition. Naturally, if he were to take her pulse, he should be able to discern even more.

Because Mo Yu deliberately lowered his voice, the Kagura cosplayer beside him didn't hear, but she sensed her friend's abnormality.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, nothing. It's just that Teacher Lingsha said she's actually a professional traditional Chinese medicine doctor. Do you want to try it?"

The Gintoki cosplayer lightly coughed, adjusted her expression, and said seriously.

"Really, truly?"

Kagura's eyes held suspicion. In common perception, traditional Chinese medicine doctors are often more skilled with age, and this Sister Lingsha in front of her didn't look much older than her.

And... would a doctor really cosplay Lingsha and offer free consultations at an Anime Convention? And... would a doctor look so much like Lingsha?

"Of course, if you don't believe me, you can extend your hand and let me try."

After a while... "Holy cow! A divine doctor! I was wrong, please don't say any more."

After hearing Mo Yu's description and analysis of her physical condition, Kagura also cried out, begging him to stop.

"Of course, that is your right."

Mo Yu chuckled, speaking gently. However, in his heart, Mo Yu felt an indescribable sensation. Was this... how those old traditional Chinese medicine doctors felt when treating people?

There was an indescribable sense of accomplishment, and then... it was also a bit amusing.

Unfortunately, such a serious diagnosis was only this one instance. More often, it was pranks like those of the two Gintama cosplayers, with many even breaking character and laughing on the spot.

Ultimately, no one would believe that a real traditional Chinese medicine doctor would make such a perfect cosplay and come to an Anime Convention.

This made Mo Yu feel like he had found a treasure but couldn't show it off, a bit disappointed. Eventually, after setting up his stall for a while, he packed away his sign and banner.

Just as he was about to give up, a scream suddenly came from not far away. Following the sound, he saw a girl collapsed on the ground, while her friend stood beside her, looking helpless. That scream had also come from her.

"What's wrong, what's wrong?"

"I don't know... She... she just said she felt a little dizzy, and then... then she suddenly collapsed."

Someone asked about the girl's condition. Her friend, looking about fourteen or fifteen, stammered an explanation, almost in tears from the sudden situation.

The people around looked at each other, but some quick-thinking individuals had already pulled out their phones to call 120. The others could only watch, completely at a loss.

"Don't worry, I'm a doctor. Let me take a look."

Just then, a gentle voice came from behind the crowd...
