Dawn begain to break. I was getting worried as the Crown Prince hadn't returned with Lucas. I was getting really anxious. I hoped that Lucas would be save. I was getting really really impatient.
"Aaghh, why is it taking so long!" I stepped out of the carriage." Mr Cedric, any idea when they will return, I can't wait any longer".
"My lady, rest assured I'm sure they're probably on their way back, till then please go inside the carriage, it's not safe outside" he replied.
"Perhaps your right but I won't be going inside, I'm gonna stay here and wait for their return".
"My lady please don't be like this I'm telling you it's not safe outside so please go inside the carriage" he said
"No, I'm staying here and you better not have any problem" I said.
"My lady please, don't f-orcee". Interrupting him in between I spoke,"Mr Cedric, when I say no that means no". Both of us started to bicker, until there was a shadow approaching from the woods.
It was the Prince and in his arms, he carried a little boy, who was my brother. When I saw him I went running towards him. "L..Lucas, wha- what happened to him" I asked the Prince. He looked at me with the same cold gaze. Chills went down my spine. He replied "The boy has been drugged and is a bit wounded. There aren't any other injuries, he'll be fine after a good nights sleep". I was relieved to hear what this person spoke, I took Lucas into my arms and hugged him.
"Thank you, Your Highness for saving my brother. I'll never forget your kindness. I will surely try my best to repay you". I begain to walk in the direction of the cabin. To us the cabin was our house and we spent six whole years living in it. Due to Catherine's protection spell, it was rather safe at night. I was about to reach the cabin but suddenly my whole body froze and started to become numb as if I was paralyzed. I tried to move so hard but it was as if someone was stopping me.
"Your Highness, is there something you want from me?" I asked. There was only one person who could use this trick.
"You thought I would let you go so easily, after you found out that I'm a vampire? I could easily kill you and your brother right now. Perhaps your brother would be spared but you. You've found out about my identity, there's no way you'll be spared this easily".
I looked at him. I don't know what face was I making right now but I'm damn sure it wasn't a happy one. "So is there something that I can do for His Highness in order to spare me. I swear on my life I'll take your secret to my grave" I said.
"I'm supposed to believe that? Do you take me as a joke! Cedric, take the lady and the child inside the carriage and treat the child's wound. It's getting late, we're heading back to the Castle" He said.
"As you wish Your Highness" Cedric replied
"Why are we supposed to go as well. I disagree with the idea of bringing me and my brother to the Castle". I said
"Lady, Your name?" The Crown Prince asked.
"Celine" I replied.
"Celine, I never asked you to come to the mansion, it's an order and you probably won't defy a order from the Crown Place. I have a task for you and your the only one who can fulfil it, take it as a way to repay me." He said.
"What task, Your Highness" I asked
"We'll get to it tomorrow, for now get inside the carriage, I don't like to repeat. Soldiers get ready" he said.
Cedric took me to the carriage and provided me with two blankets. With my powers, I healed lucas and the colour slowly returned to his face. I was really happy that he was safe. I covered him up with the blanket so his body could remain warm. Out of all a sudden my head begain to feel heavy and my eyes begain to close. I guess I was at my limit. I lay down in the carriage and dozed off in an instant, it was as if I hadn't slept in an eternity.
The moon had already rised and it was night time. We had arrived at the Castle.
"Lady Celine we have arrived, you may come out of the carriage" said Cedric. There wasn't an answer. "We have arrived my lady" there still wasn't an answer. "We have arrived" he said again and still it remained silent, no sound at all. Cedric anxiously went towards the carriage and was surprised to see that the lady he had been calling has been sleeping. He tried his best to conceal his laughter as it surely was a strange sight.
"Cedric is there a problem?" The Crown Prince asked.
"Umm Sir it's better you come see it yourself". He replied.
The Crown Prince came towards the carriage and peeked inside just to see the lady sleeping. He was utterly disappointed at Cedric for making a fuss about such a small thing.
"Carry both of them inside and ask the maids to change their outfit into something warm and also attend to their wounds" said the Crown Prince.
"As you wish Your Highness" said Cedric
Both the lady and the boy were taken care of. Allen had provided them a separate bedroom as well.
"Your acting weird" said Cedric
"How am I acting wired Cedric" Allen replied
"What I mean is aren't you taking to much interest in that girl that you even brought her here." Said Cedric
"Well she discovered that I'm a vampire so I couldn't possibly leave it be" Allen replied.
"I was quite surprised that she discovered just by staring into your eyes. It's quite remarkable. But step that aside you could've just erased her memories after helping her. Why the hell did you bring her here" said Cedric.
"You thought I didn't try doing that. If it worked on her I wouldn't have brought her here". Allen replied.
"So your telling me your magic didn't work on her. Is that even possible?" Cedric said.
"I was quite in disbelief as well when it didn't work on here. It's as if a barrier is protecting her. She's much more than we think, we shouldn't turn a blind eye". Allen said
"That's the only reason your keeping her here? You think I'm a fool. There's more to it isn't it?. Said Cedric.
"Haahh, you really do know me the best. Your correct, you'll see tomorrow what I'm actually planning. That girl has rather caught my attention". Said Allen.
"A..Allen..... W-wha..at nonsense are you spitting. Interest...interest!!!. Your interested in that girl." Said Cedric.
"Shut your mouth Cedric. By interest I meant as a person not a in a romantic way. You may leave now I have to take care of some documents and don't forget the task I assigned you. I need the information and the culprits till tomorrow night".
"Don't worry, leave it all to me. Goodnight Allen". And then Cedric left.
"Hmmm Celine. I think I'll have to ask people to research about her background. She has some cunning eyes filled with boldness. She probably despises me, I could read every inch of her face. Well, I'll have the prey in my hands soon, I always do."
