~Author's POV~
Crystal shifted nervously. "Are you insane? What if it had killed her? Next time, follow my instructions exactly as given."
"Okay."
Crystal waved her hand dismissively, her annoyance evident. "Tsk. Whatever. You're lucky it didn't get too out of hand. Otherwise, the Director might've started asking questions." She eyed the staff member coldly. "It won't happen again, right?"
The girl nodded quickly, muttering an apology. "Sorry, I thought you'd be happy with it."
"Hmm. Remember this. You and I have nothing to do with each other. Do not link whatever happened with her back to me. Your balance will be transferred to you in thirty minutes, so destroy all evidence you have. Got it?"
"As you wish, ma'am," the girl replied meekly.
Crystal gave a curt nod, her gaze lingering for a moment longer before she turned to leave.
As she stepped away, turning around the corner, she collided with someone coming around the corner.
