Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – Graduation & Mission

One by one, the students stepped forward to demonstrate their three Jutsus. Ryuken's eyes, however, were drawn elsewhere—toward a soft, glowing light-blue screen that had suddenly appeared before him. His heart skipped a beat.

Ryuken's pulse quickened. He had seen strange phenomena like this before—not in this world, but in fleeting visions, memories that didn't belong to him. Something about the screen sent a shiver down his spine, a familiar yet alien sensation.

Before he could even question it, another message appeared. This one was larger, brighter, glowing a pure golden hue that made Ryuken squint.

Ryuken took a deep breath, the weight of the revelation settling in. The system is giving me something this rare… but I can't hide my strength now. Not just the Hokage, but the system itself demands it. I'll have to give everything. Still… the reward is worth it. The Heavenly Spear—it even defeated Infinity against Satoru Gojo. With it, I could stand against Hozuki clan members, the Third or Fourth Raikage in their lightning armor, or even Susanoo.

A chill ran down his spine as he read the final line. But it seals itself if my intent turns to hatred or bloodlust… That's to stop someone with evil intentions from wielding it. But how… how did Toji manage it against Gojo? Was it some unique affinity? He was born for weapons like this. I have to meditate. I cannot let my anger control me. Not now.

Ryuken's attention was pulled back to the exam just in time to see Shisui perform all three Jutsus flawlessly. The examiner's voice rang out, calm but firm:

"Next, Ryuken Uchiha."

Taking a steadying breath, Ryuken stepped forward. In a fluid motion, he transformed into Shisui and created a clone resembling himself. The clone vanished almost instantly, leaving him in his true form. Without a pause, he used Substitution Jutsu to switch places with the chair behind him, a smooth display of precision.

The examiner's gaze was steady as he said:"Ryuken Uchiha, Part 1: Passed. Please return to the line. Next: Asuma Sarutobi."

Rin, standing beside Obito, frowned in confusion."Obito… aren't they younger than us? How are they graduating first? I've never heard of a Uchiha genius like this."

Obito's expression darkened, a hint of irritation flashing in his eyes."There's nothing special about them. I could take both on alone without breaking a sweat."

Kurenai, standing just behind Rin, tilted her head, a small smirk on her lips."Oh really? Then why are you graduating while being years older? Seems like they're actually better than you. Rin-chan, listen—Obito is rambling again, just like with Kakashi-san."

Rin shot her friend a helpless glance, while Obito snorted, muttering under his breath."Just wait. I'll show you."

The testing continued, each student evaluated individually. Finally, those who passed were gathered together. The examiner's gaze swept across them, authoritative yet fair.

"You've all performed well. As I said, winning the Second Exam is not mandatory. However, there is one exception: Might Guy. It has been noted that you lack talent in Ninjutsu. Here, you must prove your Taijutsu and defeat your opponent—or you will return to the academy."

Guy's eyes burned with determination. A confident smile spread across his face as he gave a firm thumbs-up."Thank you for your support. I will prove to all of you that I can become a Genin."

Those who passed were: Shisui, Ryuken, Obito, Guy, Rin, Kurenai, Asuma, Anko, Genma Shiranui, and Gekko Hayate.

Lots were drawn to determine the next-round matchups:

Gekko Hayate vs Genma Shiranui

Shisui Uchiha vs Asuma Sarutobi

Rin vs Kurenai Yuhi

Obito vs Anko

Ryuken Uchiha vs Might Guy

As the students whispered and speculated about their opponents, Ryuken's eyes locked on Guy. There was more than determination in his gaze—it was unyielding, almost feral.

Would I back down? he wondered. You may have defeated Madara in the anime, opening all Eight Gates, but here you won't use a single one. I will defeat him… for the Heavenly Spear. Even if Guy has to return to the academy for a year, it won't change the story.

The intensity of the moment pressed down on both of them. Guy swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Ryuken's gaze, and thought:I cannot lose this fight. If I do, all my hard work, everything I've done… it will have been for nothing.
