Quick note: From now on, I will be calling Slav--Julius.
Admits the chaos and the pleas of desperate men--Hanging on life by a thread--Flaytus's weary face met a struggling Julius--Clenching his teeth as his hands held on as he suppressed the Mongol soldier on top of him with whatever strength he had left.
Soon his hand became weary, and he slipped his holdout of that soldier's wrist--With this advantage--The soldier then throws his knife back and aimed it straight to his chest--Just as he was about to plunge it in--he missed and it went deep in through his abdomen instead.
AHHH! Julius's yelling ripped through the air--Though, it was soon drowned out by the yelling of dozen others--Then the noker fell to his chest, motionless.
Julius's gaze faltered than his eyes locked into a pair of fierce hazel one--They were at distraught just like his--"Flaytus...?" he breathed, letting out a low chuckle.
Flaytus stared back at him--His body weary, his gaze on his lower abdomen--He then dragged his totaled knees to him--Crouching down--Are you okay? he asked.
The air seemed to be silent as both of them stared at each other--Julius then nodded weakly--Then his eyes widened with realization--His lips parted, barely, L-L- his voice trailed off.
Flaytus's brows creased--What...? say it!
L-Leo...He spat out--Leo is in d-danger. Flaytus let him go--He quickly stood-- wincing in pain as he did--His gaze darted around the dusty surroundings--Then he sprinted--Not a care on his leg.
-------------------------
Marcus's weary arms dragged Justinian's body--His blood trailing along the leaves--He sobbed lowly--Then he sobbed like he was desperate to get everything out of him. He then placed his motionless body under a tree as he crouched down--He yelled out, as he closed his eyes with his palm. His hollow eyes then darted before settling on a small crumpled up figure on the ground--He then went in closer, kneeling down--His hands trailed over him--removing the leavings that clung to his face--His eyes then went wide--Leo! He quickly then held his head to his lap--Tapping his face--Wake up!
Wake up...
Leo's eyes then began to flutter open as he gazed at him--dazed.
Then-- Where is my father...? he asked. Marcus felt as if the air in his lungs has been knocked out as he wheezed and cried in pain. His breath Shakey as he hugged him.
Soon he got up--Struggling as he did--He then carried Leo on his back--Let's go to our camp...He murmured. Leo nodded without uttering another word.
They soon began to walk through the forest--The smell of blood and fear clung to their clothes. Then--AGH... Marcus panted in pain as he gazed at his chest--An arrow--Plunged deep in-Leo then glanced up at him, clawing his arm in fear--Though Marcus was beyond the point of listening. His gaze seemed to be clouded as he then lost his balance--Just as he was about to fall--Someone caught him.
His head thudded against the stranger's chest--As he then glanced at him--It was Flaytus.
C-Commander... his breath came out ragged. Flaytus set him to the ground--As his eyes darted to the forest--Seeing the cloaked man flee. His jaw clenched--Though he glanced at the boy then at Marcus laying...hanging in there, barely.
Marcus...he murmured, are you okay? he asked--Marcus gave a weak smile--Had better days master, this isn't one... he whispered breathily.
Flaytus held his shoulder--Hang in there? will you? he asked. Marcus gazed at him--I'm not sure how long... master... he murmured as his eyes began to close.
Flaytus's heart hammered against his ribs--Marcus...he shook him, MARCUS! His lips parted once again--T-Take care of my mother...he murmured, then his gaze darted soon it closed, shut.
MARCUS!! Flaytus yelled--His voice echoed through the forest, as he held him, he then glanced at the boy and held him closer. His chest rose and fell as he cried...
They sat there--In that endless misery of a forest--Waiting unknowingly for the next thing.
