"Pardon? There's more?" Stellamaire blinked, his anxiety spiking up to the level.
"Are you not curious as to why I asked to meet in the orphanage of all places?" Renzille flickered her gaze to Stellamaire, her irises twinkling with wonder.
Stellamaire shook his head. "I simply assumed that you wanted us to have a child.. That's why you're looking at these children."
Fenric's and Kreios' heads snapped up, their eyes narrowing at Stellamaire.
They couldn't help, but wonder if the beastman has an ounce of shame in his body because who would admit those words out loud? In a place where children were dropped off because their parents didn't want them?
Renzille couldn't stop the snort that accidentally slipped past her lips.
"Oh, goodness me, do forgive me." Renzille apologized, quickly correcting her posture and steeling her face to become passive. "However, you're not too far off with your assumption."
