Looking at the cyclical Reincarnation Space before him, Li Yu didn't know which world to go to for a moment.
He directly asked the Main God.
"Do I get an essence crystal for every world I repair?"
As the new generation of World Hunter, Li Yu enjoyed VIP-level treatment in the Reincarnation Space, receiving answers to all his questions.
A line of blue characters slowly unfolded before his eyes.
"essence crystal is the Reincarnation Space consciousness's feedback for your timeline repair, condensing the essence of the entire world. The closer a world is to destruction, the easier it is to obtain an essence crystal, and the higher-tier the world, the higher the quality of the essence crystal."
"So that's how it is."
Li Yu nodded, a hint of understanding flashing in his eyes.
He had just experienced the magical properties of the essence crystal and knew he needed to stock up on more for future needs.
With that in mind, Li Yu turned his gaze to the Reincarnation Spaces with the deepest colors.
One of them was almost pitch black, with crimson liquid constantly flowing.
Through that crimson layer, he could vaguely see numerous distorted humanoid creatures.
Their skin was pale, their fangs exposed, as they chased and bit humans who were fleeing in all directions... Was it a zombie world?
This one then. Since he planned to quickly clear Reincarnation Spaces to obtain essence crystals.
He definitely had to start by clearing low-level Reincarnation Spaces.
Li Yu remembered that the man and woman he met when he first entered the Reincarnation Space had just returned from a zombie world.
The man's arm had even been bitten by a zombie, costing ten credit points to heal.
If an injury could be healed with ten credit points, how high could the world's difficulty be?
Moreover, according to Li Yu's understanding of zombies from his memories.
No matter how much these virus-infected creatures evolved, they would at most reach the level of Tyrants or Executioners!
A zombie world, under the hands of a Gold Saint whose four attributes all exceeded ten million, would be no more threatening than a group of ants... So, he would start by clearing a zombie world!
As Li Yu confirmed his choice, a prompt appeared before him.
"Please note, this Reincarnation Space is on the verge of collapse, and the world's situation is unknown. Hunter, do you still wish to choose this Reincarnation Space?"
"Confirm!"
Li Yu was not afraid in the slightest. Having just brought the sagittarius gold cloth into the Reincarnation Space, he had grown several times stronger.
Li Yu even planned that if the situation in the zombie world was beyond redemption, he would simply return the entire planet to the Ice Age!
Li Yu wanted to place the sagittarius gold cloth before him into his private space.
With a slight thought, a black hole appeared above the Gold Cloth box, swallowing the Cloth box directly.
To Li Yu's surprise, the Gold Cloth box actually occupied one hundred grid spaces.
Fortunately, as a Hunter, his initial space size was one thousand grids.
If it were an ordinary Reincarnator, with only ten initial grid spaces, there would be no room to accommodate a Gold Cloth.
Even if a Reincarnator could obtain a Gold Cloth in the Saint Seiya World, he would not be able to bring it back to the Reincarnation Space.
The light faded, and Li Yu found himself in an abandoned factory.
Rusty giant mechanical arms hung above like withered bones, and gears still bore blackened dried corpses. The ground was covered in thick dust.
Several fresh footprints wound their way into the depths of the factory, and faint, fragmented sounds came from the darkness.
Li Yu concentrated his gaze. In the shadows deep within the factory, many figures huddled together, like a frightened herd, their breathing barely audible.
"A human settlement?"
A hint of doubt flashed in Li Yu's eyes.
In a zombie apocalypse, survivors often band together for warmth. Such an abandoned factory was indeed an excellent hiding place for humans.
Just as he was about to step forward and inquire about the situation, the factory's rusty tin door was suddenly pushed open violently from the outside, slamming against the wall with a clang and raising a cloud of dust.
A group of figures staggered in, their joints twisting at unnatural angles.
Their steps were unsteady, pale white bones exposed beneath their decaying skin, and a strong stench of decay and blood rushed towards him like a tangible entity, making him nauseous!
"Zombies?"
Li Yu frowned slightly, a trace of doubt rising in his heart.
If these zombies could so easily break into a human settlement, the survivors here would probably not last three days.
This human settlement was strange!
Li Yu did not act rashly. He lightly tapped his toes, and his figure, like a willow catkin, leaped onto a steel beam on the roof, allowing him to observe the situation from above.
He saw the group of zombies head straight for the crowd huddled in the corner. The leading zombie was much larger than its counterparts, with bright red muscles exposed all over its body.
It let out a low, guttural "ho-ho" sound. After a moment, it actually uttered a slurred sentence.
"Time to pay rent. Which one of you is coming with us today?"
Zombies could talk?
Had the zombies in this world evolved intelligence?
No wonder the world was on the verge of collapse. Was it because human civilization was about to be annihilated and replaced by zombie civilization?
In Li Yu's memory, intelligent zombies should only exist in the "I Am Legend" world!
The crowd in the shadows writhed violently, and then a thin figure was pushed out.
It was a young girl, her clothes already tattered and worn. Her exposed arms were as thin as kindling. She was barefoot, head bowed, stumbling and falling prostrate before the zombie.
Her long hair covered her face, and her shoulders trembled uncontrollably from fear.
The leading zombie stepped forward and poked the girl's slender arm with its decaying finger, a look of disdain on its face.
It was like a picky customer at a market selecting fresh meat.
"So thin?"
It smacked its lips in dissatisfaction, then leaned in and sniffed the girl, its putrid breath spraying onto her face.
"This smell... it's not farmed. Didn't I tell you to find someone with more meat?"
From the darkness, a gaunt old man crawled out, prostrating himself before the zombie, repeatedly kowtowing.
"Please forgive us, esteemed Divine Race adults. There aren't many people left in this settlement. If we hand over any more strong laborers, I'm afraid none of us will survive for more than a few days."
"Old man, if your meat wasn't so old and tough, you'd be the first one eaten!"
The leading zombie raised a foot and kicked the old man to the ground.
Its cloudy white eyes greedily scanned the crowd, finally overcoming its instinctive bloodlust and letting out a few low growls.
The other zombies pulled the girl by her arm and walked outside.
The girl's feet hung limply, her black hair trailing on the ground, like a corpse. She offered no resistance, as if she had completely resigned herself to her fate.
These zombies dragged the girl to an open space outside the factory.
Then they boarded a terrifying giant beast, shaped like a huge bat with a mouth full of fangs, and soared into the sky!
Li Yu glanced at the humans barely surviving in the darkness. If all humans were like this, then destroying the world and starting anew might not be a bad thing.
He activated his Rumble-Rumble Fruit ability, transforming into a bolt of lightning, leaping above the clouds, and following the zombie bat from afar.
As he flew, Li Yu saw various human settlements, large and small, below.
Around these settlements were numerous zombie-built burrows. Humans seemed to be livestock raised by them... From the scenes he witnessed, Li Yu had a rough idea of what was wrong with this world.
Zombies had evolved intelligence, calling themselves the Divine Race. They had taken over humanity's former position and were gradually becoming the masters of the world!
