Hearing the "reward" Lin Luo offered, Odin's eyes lit up, and his originally weary old face regained much of its spirit from the sudden surprise.
Having personally experienced that moment, he clearly knew that it would be no difficult task for the other party to quell Ragnarok.
Odin agreed without hesitation, saying, "Asgard can accomplish everything you've mentioned. I can immediately send people to Earth to make contact with the new civilization established by humanity."
"Mr. Lin Luo, I swear by the honor of Odin, King of the Aesir, that as long as Asgard endures, it will forever be humanity's staunchest ally!"
An ally forever, as long as it doesn't perish?
Heh, he is indeed King Odin; even with things having progressed this far, he still hasn't forgotten to play word games.
Alright.
This isn't exactly taking advantage and then acting coy.
After all, it concerns the future of Asgard and most of its citizens, so a little extra caution is normal.
"Mm."
Lin Luo nodded, saying nothing more.
The futures of two civilizations intertwined in a few words. Asgard, which had once proclaimed itself as gods to humanity, shifted to an equal alliance, and everything seemed to be developing in a positive direction.
The debt collection was perfectly completed... not!
After all this trouble and half an hour of talking, how could it possibly end so anticlimactically, so hastily?
Making Asgard repay its debt and forcing it into Earth's sphere of influence was merely a prelude to the next stage.
Humanity was too self-important; without suffering a major setback, their minds would struggle to clear, and they would fail to see how cruel this World truly was.
Next, it was time to make them feel their insignificance!
Despite the alliance being formed, the atmosphere did not become peaceful. A deathly silence created an indescribably heavy feeling in the air.
Lin Luo's gaze shifted to Loki, who was behind Odin.
Loki stiffened, clearly sensing something, and instinctively, tremblingly, raised his head, his eyes inadvertently meeting Lin Luo's.
That gaze, like that of the God of Death, sent chills down his spine, making his hair stand on end... He was about to lower his head when he suddenly noticed a flicker in Lin Luo's eyes, as if he was... anticipating?
"!!!"
What did this mean?
Odin noticed their interaction, his heart tightening, and he quickly said:
"Mr. Lin Luo, please rest assured, I will mete out the most severe punishment and thoroughly discipline this villain, Loki."
Then, without waiting for Lin Luo to express an opinion, he commanded:
"Hogun, Fandral, Volstagg, you will escort Loki to the dungeon to await the judgment of the gods!"
"Yes, sir!"
The Warriors Three stepped forward decisively, shackled Loki with heavy chains, and then, with longswords pressed against his neck, forcibly led him toward the prison.
However... Lin Luo's gaze still hadn't moved from Loki.
Odin clenched his fist, nervously swallowed, his loving father's heart almost leaping out of his throat.
He had no choice; if Lin Luo were to demand Loki's execution, then as King, he would have to sacrifice Loki for the sake of Asgard.
This was the price of being a "King."
It wasn't until Loki was far away that Lin Luo showed no intention of stopping him, and Odin's suspended heart finally settled.
"Don't disappoint me, Loki..." Lin Luo thought to himself, retracting his gaze, and waving to the debt collection team, he said:
"Mission accomplished. You can go back and enjoy your vacation. Please send my regards to your families."
"Yes, BOSS!"
John Wick, Trevor, Michael, Franklin, and the rest of the hunting team responded in unison.
The Captain pressed the MIB watch's recall button.
Whoosh—!
Dozens of green light beams shot into the sky, and the hunting team members were instantly teleported back to Earth.
After doing all this, Lin Luo stretched, and said to Odin, "That's enough for now. We'll wander around here for a bit and enjoy the scenery. Please, don't mind us."
"Uh, BOSS... I have a suggestion."
Catwoman raised her hand to interject, "Aren't we at MIB currently trying not to expose ourselves to ordinary people? This alliance with Asgard, is it like last time with Iron Man..."
"BOSS!"
Before Catwoman could finish, Natasha volunteered, "Leave this matter to me!"
Catwoman froze for a moment, looking angrily at Natasha.
She had wanted to show off in front of the BOSS... Natasha gave her an apologetic look, then turned to the BOSS and said, "BOSS, what do you think?"
"Go ahead," Lin Luo said.
"Alright." Natasha turned, clapped Hawkeye on the shoulder, and forcibly pushed him away from Asgard's encirclement.
Catwoman watched Natasha's overly decisive actions with some surprise, then suddenly thought of something and was about to call out to stop her.
As she opened her lips, a large hand reached over and forcibly covered her mouth.
"Mmm!" Catwoman froze, looking at her BOSS in confusion.
Lin Luo didn't explain to her, but smiled, "Mr. Odin, the man just now will be your intermediary with Earth. It's not convenient for us to appear directly, do you understand what I mean?"
"I understand."
Odin understood Lin Luo's meaning; indeed, transcendent beings like them couldn't coexist harmoniously with ordinary people on Earth.
"Sif, go and show Mr. Lin Luo the sights of Asgard."
Called by name, Sif stepped forward and saluted Odin, "As you command, Great King Odin."
Odin then ordered, "All warriors of Asgard, return to your respective defensive lines. No one is to disturb Mr. Lin Luo."
"Yes, sir!"
The Asgardian Army responded in unison, retreating in an orderly fashion.
"If you have any further needs, you can find me in the Great Hall. Farewell."
Odin, having arranged everything, used the Eternal Spear to summon the Bifrost Bridge, and teleported directly back to the palace with his wife Frigga and the guardian Heimdall.
Only Lin Luo, Catwoman, and the Valkyrie Sif remained on the field.
Lin Luo released his hand from Catwoman's mouth.
Catwoman asked, puzzled, "I don't believe you couldn't see that she had ulterior motives. Do you trust her that much?"
"I trust her as much as I trust you." Lin Luo glanced at the lipstick mark left on his palm, then turned to Catwoman's fiery red lips.
"I... I..."
With the conversation at this point, what more could Catwoman say?
But the BOSS's gaze seemed a little off.
"May I?" Lin Luo asked.
Catwoman instantly understood, a slight smile playing on her lips, and she retorted, "Why not?"
With that, she took the initiative, fully displaying her fiery passion!
Lin Luo pulled her into an embrace, and the two embraced and kissed, absorbed in each other.
Sif: "..."
Seeing this scene, Sif was completely dumbfounded.
Is this alright?
No!
Treating a Valkyrie as if she were air, huh!
Having lived for so many years, she had never been so wronged!
But, holding someone like this, mouth to mouth, was there anything special about it?
Both mortals and gods had this way of expressing love...
