Synopsis
I died and then, I opened my eyes as a kitten sized predator with a heartbeat that was not human, the last World Cat.
Caves. Black water. No status screen. If I hunt well, I change. New senses. New muscles. New instincts my human mind must learn to guide.
An Authority erases creatures like me before we mature. Stone warnings remain from a civilization that failed. Then my first kits hatch. They are noisy, hungry, and perfect. If I keep them alive, a den becomes a colony and finally, a space faring race.
Hide to grow, or grow until hiding is pointless. I choose both, starting now.
I will map the tunnels, immortalize memory, and turn my cage into a city. If I succeed, my family lives. If I fall short, we vanish like the ones who carved the warnings.
