{Seraphina's First Person POV, 11 days later}
It had been a week and a half since Lirael told me I was the Fae Queen, and somehow, the world had not shifted the way it should have. No announcements had been made, no ceremonies prepared, no change in how the kingdom functioned.
Everything continued as though nothing had happened, and yet everything felt different to me. I still had questions, far too many, but Kaiden had made it clear I would not be seeing Lirael again anytime soon, and Astria had not left her side at all. Whatever was happening within that estate, I was being deliberately kept away from it.
Instead, I had been left to wander within the boundaries they allowed, slowly familiarising myself with the Fae Kingdom and its people. None of them knew who I was, not truly. To them, I was just a human guest, or more accurately, a watched outsider. It was strange, walking through a land that was supposedly mine in title yet completely foreign in reality.
