Chapter 200 - Incantation.

I pushed myself up from the bed with a quiet breath, the weight of the system still sitting at the back of my mind like an unwelcome pressure. There was no point staying idle, not when the deadlines were already tightening like a noose I could not see but could definitely feel. I ran a hand through my hair and focused instead on what I actually knew, what I had read before this entire mess began to feel like my second life.

From that book I read on mana thesis and hypotheses, it said voice could be transmitted over long distances using human-generated mana as the medium, but it was unethical because we would essentially die if our body was completely depleted of mana. I remembered staring at that line for a long time back then, thinking it sounded like something written by someone who had already lost someone to it.

It was theoretical, dangerous, and abandoned for a reason. Still, the idea lingered in my mind like a stubborn spark that refused to die out.
