"You are squeezing me, Mylo," Zeke laughs loudly, unable to breathe as Mylo hugs him tightly.
"It wasn't our time to die yet."
Mylo hits Zeke in the arms playfully.
"You still have the balls to crack jokes, huh?"
"I'm just grateful to be alive and well. I'm happy to see you again, Mylo. After that night… When I woke up and saw my mother, I was so scared that I had lost you but she reassured me that you were okay. She even mentioned that Alpha Alaric called her, she was squirming with joy that she had the opportunity to speak with Alpha Alaric over the phone."
Zeke doesn't believe his mother.
"Can you imagine that? She was more concerned that Alpha Alaric called her phone than the fact that we are homeless. I can't believe her, she even said she just lived the dream of millions of girls and she could die fulfilled," Zeke shakes his head unbelievably.
Mylo sits quietly, although he is relieved to see his friend, he couldn't help the bad sinking feeling of self reproach.
