"Alpha?" Carl runs towards Royce as soon as he notices the Alpha approaching the stall, where he and Alpha Ryker were supposed to wait for the older Alpha to arrive.
But Carl was there alone.
This is what Royce notices first as he closes the space between the omega, who throws himself on him, hugging him tightly.
"Alpha," Carl sobs in Royce's chest, hugging him even more tightly, "I was scared, I was so worried about you, Alpha. What took you so long?"
Royce winces in pain as Carl touches his arm.
"You are hurt?" Carl takes a step back, looking at the claw marks on the Alpha's both arms, he was still bleeding slightly, which meant he was healing slowly, "What happened, Alpha? Why are you hurt?"
Royce looks behind him, hearing about thirty heavy steps approaching his direction. Those Eagle mercenaries were not giving up, they were still haunting him down.
