Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: The Black Cat and the Invitation

Soul Society – Division 2 Headquarters

Inside the quiet captain's quarters, Soi Fon sat alone, motionless. Her thoughts were consumed by one name—Jaeger.

Jaeger's power. His overwhelming presence. His unwavering confidence in himself.

"…Yoruichi."

Whispering the name that had haunted her dreams for decades, Soi Fon clenched her trembling hands. At times, she wondered if she had lost her mind. No—she had lost her mind.

How else could she justify making that deal with Jaeger? Trading her dignity… her body, in the desperate hope that he would capture Shihouin Yoruichi and bring her back to Soul Society—back under her control?

Just imagining the moment Jaeger returned with Yoruichi—and the thought of becoming his woman, bound to him by that humiliating deal—made her heart flutter in a whirlwind of shame and twisted excitement. But the excitement was followed closely by regret.

"I should've negotiated better," she muttered bitterly to herself. "Once a month… even once every two months would've been better than handing everything over at once…"

But it was too late. The deal had been sealed. And she knew all too well the kind of man she was dealing with.

Jaeger—the monster who brought the Captain Commander to his knees in a single blow. A being who wasn't even a Shinigami, yet held terrifying power that defied logic.

Just thinking about it made her skin crawl.

A sudden, panicked voice outside the door shattered the silence.

"Captain! CAPTAIN!!"

Soi Fon's brow twitched. That loud, blubbering voice could only belong to one person.

"What is it now, you fool!?" she snapped, her tone sharp and full of irritation.

Omaeda fumbled at the doorway, almost stumbling over his words. "It's… it's Yoruichi! I mean—uh—it's Lady Yoruichi! That traitor—she's… she's back!"

The moment the name passed his lips, all the noise around Soi Fon disappeared.

"…Yoruichi…? That fast…?"

Her heart raced. So Jaeger had done it. He had brought her back.

A chaotic mix of emotions surged inside her—anticipation, panic, a flicker of fear.

She had spent years yearning for this moment. But now, knowing what it cost her, her resolve wavered. She had made her decision long ago… but now that the moment was real, it was overwhelming.

Still, one truth stood above all else—Shihouin Yoruichi meant more to her than anything.

Soi Fon stood up, steadying her breathing as she reached for her captain's haori. Her fingers tightened around the fabric.

No turning back now.

Division 2 – Reception Room

Jaeger sat with one leg crossed, sipping tea with calm ease. The air around him was relaxed, almost casual.

Across from him sat two women—Soi Fon and Yoruichi. The room was quiet, tension simmering beneath the surface.

The reunion between former mentor and student was nothing like one might expect. There were no emotional outbursts, no accusations or apologies. Just silence, thick and suffocating.

But Jaeger could feel it. Soi Fon's heartbeat was erratic—twice its normal rhythm. Her eyes pretended calm, but her spirit was trembling.

"I've got to ask," she said suddenly, breaking the silence, eyes narrowing at Jaeger. "From Soul Society to the Human World… did you get plastic surgery or something?"

Jaeger blinked, caught off-guard. "What?"

"I mean… your face," Soi Fon tilted her head. "It hasn't changed much, but somehow you went from being just a handsome man to… honestly, almost too handsome."

Jaeger coughed into his tea, barely containing a laugh. "Thanks, I guess?"

Soi Fon quickly dropped the subject, stealing a glance at Yoruichi, who had remained silent this whole time.

"Yoruichi…" she began, her tone turning cold. "Thanks to him, I finally caught you."

"Haha… long time no see, Soi Fon," Yoruichi replied with an awkward smile. "You've grown even more beautiful."

"Spare me the flattery," Soi Fon snapped, eyes narrowing. "You're still my prisoner. Whatever past we had—it ends now."

She reached into her robe, pulling out a set of shackles used for high-level criminals. Her smile turned sharp. "If it were up to me, I'd break your legs. But…that would not be as interesting as what you are about to experience. So instead—let's just seal your powers. That way you really won't be able to escape."

"Wait, wait—hold on a minute—"

Yoruichi's eyes widened as she tried to laugh it off. She instinctively glanced at Jaeger, who was watching with a faint smirk on his lips.

No help there.

She sighed. "Fine… let's just get it over with."

But the next moment, before Soi Fon could act, Yoruichi vanished in a blur.

Shunpo.

"What the—!?"

Soi Fon barely registered the movement before a cold click echoed through the room.

The shackles she had prepared for Yoruichi were now locked tightly around her own wrists. Her spiritual pressure was sealed. Instantly, her legs buckled.

"Y-you traitor—!!"

Soi Fon could hardly stand. She glared up at Yoruichi, who now held her arms with a smug grin.

"Oh, come on," Yoruichi teased. "Did you forget? These toys were my idea. You really thought you could trap me with something I invented?"

Jaeger raised an eyebrow, sipping the last of his tea without a word.

Furious and humiliated, Soi Fon turned to him. "Jaeger!! We had a deal! Why are you just sitting there!?"

Jaeger smiled lazily, setting his teacup down.

"Ah, right. That deal…"

He stood, stretching slowly as he walked over. "Well, Yoruichi also made me a very interesting offer. One that was, frankly… much more tempting."

Soi Fon's eyes widened. "You—you bastard! You'd betray me for her? What about your pride? Your word as a warrior? You're the man who defeated the Captain Commander!"

Jaeger chuckled, bending down slightly and lifting her chin with a single finger.

"Pride?" he whispered, smirking. "You think pride is worth more than the two most powerful women in Soul Society… in one room… and under my control?"

"Y-you…BASTARD!"

Soi Fon was speechless. Her eyes trembled with fury and shame.

Soi Fon struggled with all her might, but resistance was futile. Jaeger's grip was unyielding, and despite her status as a captain of the Second Division, she was helpless.

The pressure from a being like Jaeger—something beyond a normal Shinigami—rendered her efforts useless.

Yoruichi, still injured and far from her peak, held Soi Fon down effortlessly. A playful, cruel smile curved her lips.

"To think my little Soi Fon fell so low," she muttered. "You really asked Jaeger to capture me? That's your plan?"

Her voice carried a mix of disappointment and mischief. With a swift motion, she flipped Soi Fon onto her back, pinned her down, and tickled her relentlessly.

"Let me show you how a real captain of the Second Division should act."

Despite Soi Fon's rank, her strength was disappointing. Even in the original timeline, she had failed to defeat Yoruichi.

In the Thousand-Year Blood War, the gap between them only widened.

"Hahaha… damn it—when I'm free, you're finished, you hear me…!"

But Yoruichi had no intention of staying in this mess.

Yoruichi, however, had no intention of staying.

Once she'd tickled her fill and thoroughly shattered Soi Fon's dignity, she withdrew with a satisfied grin.

A spark lit in her golden eyes—and in the blink of an eye, her form shimmered and collapsed into a sleek, beautiful black cat. With a flick of her tail and a lazy stretch, she looked up at Jaeger with a teasing grin.

"Admit it," she said with a smug gleam, "I'm adorable like this, aren't I?"

Jaeger, unfazed, crouched and scratched behind her ears.

"I knew you'd pull this trick. Still, gotta admit—you're a pretty cute cat." His tone darkened, eyes narrowing.

"Tell me, Yoruichi... ever wonder if cat skin would make nice shoes? Or if cat meat might taste good?"

Yoruichi hissed and swatted at him with a clawed paw.

"You're disgusting. Don't touch me. I'm not turning back—go fight someone else, you lunatic! Maybe try your luck with that stubborn old man Genryusai! I'm not your plaything!"

Unbothered, Jaeger stood and brushed the fur off his hands. "Suit yourself. You can rest for now."

His eyes gleamed with something more than amusement. He wanted a real fight. Something thrilling. Bloody. Brutal. But Soul Society was... disappointing.

Even Yhwach, the so-called god of omnipotence, might not survive a single blow from Jaeger's power.

He scoffed. "Not much fun left here. Still…"

He thought of Hueco Mundo, of the Quincy Empire. Dangerous places, sure—but teeming with intriguing women and potential battles.

Unfortunately, tracking anyone down in those worlds was a time sink.

Suddenly—knock knock knock!

A voice came from beyond the door.

"Captain Soi Fon, are you in there?"

Jaeger yawned. "She's asleep. Say what you need to me."

There was a stunned silence from the other side. "J-Jaeger... sir? You're here?"

He could practically hear the confusion and panic behind the voice. The woman hadn't expected to find him here.

"It's normal, isn't it?" Jaeger smirked, reading her mind. "Soi Fon's over a hundred years old. What's wrong with her finding a man?"

The female officer cleared her throat awkwardly. "W-Well… I came to deliver a message. Captain Unohana of the Fourth Division has requested your presence."

Jaeger's brow lifted. "Unohana, huh? That's unexpected…"

He chuckled. A gentle, beautiful one-san type with a dark past. Who would turn down an invitation from her?

Fourth Division, Captain's Quarters

Guided by Kotetsu Isane—tall, calm, with short silver-blue hair—Jaeger made his way to the heart of the Fourth Division.

When the doors to Unohana's office opened, two women awaited him.

One was elegance incarnate: long, flowing black hair, a calm face, and eyes that held a deep, fiery fighting spirit hidden behind her soft smile.

The other... a wild contrast. Purple twin tails, an eyepatch over one eye, a smug grin on her lips, and an attitude that radiated chaos. A rebellious beauty with danger in her smirk.

"Well, well," the purple-haired one purred, stepping forward. "So you're the bastard who killed my pathetic distant cousin in this world?"

Her voice was venomous, but there was no grief in it—only excitement.

"I didn't care much about that loser," she said, flicking her tongue across her teeth. "But you look like fun."

--

Back in Soi Fon's Quarters

Yoruichi, still in cat form, flopped onto her side with a sigh.

"That woman… Unohana. She didn't invite him for tea, did she?" she muttered.

"Probably not," Soi Fon rasped, her body aching.

"He already killed Gin Ichimaru. Defeated the Captain Commander. I'm sure every battle-hungry freak in Soul Society is lining up to test him."

Yoruichi blinked. "Wait, what? You mean that lunatic actually beat Genryusai?"

Soi Fon didn't answer—she didn't need to. Her silence said it all.

Yoruichi's jaw dropped. "That man's a monster."

"Tell me something I don't know," Soi Fon grumbled. She winced, turning over in bed, pain flashing through her body. Her eyes drifted toward the black cat curled near her.

"From today onward, you and I… we belong to that man. Even if we run to hell, I bet he'd drag us back. So stop trying to escape."

Yoruichi twitched, her cat ears flattening as she let out a low sigh.

"Fine, fine. I give up. This is my fault anyway," she said quietly. "I should've taken you with me back then. I left… and that bastard swooped right in."
