It was noon of the next day. Alice was tired walking in the forest but infront of him, he could see a lot of light and it seemed like that the forest was finally coming to an end.
Alice had a hope right infront of him and he could only hope that it was the end of the forest.
And after walking few more steps... Alice finally crossed the forest and found himself infront of a village.
It was a pretty big village with thatched sloped roof wooden houses. The walls of those houses were of wood while the rooftop was basically sloped made up of thatch.
There was also lot of farms, of wheat, carrot, potato.
The houses themself vary in size. There was fence surrounding the forest, probably to protect it from the invasion from the wild animals and setting the border of the forest.
Many villagers were doing there day to day work, some working in their farm, some taking care of their animals, some feeding the cart-horses at the barn, kids playing around, women carrying water from nearby well to their houses.
There was a group of men too carrying different kinds of weapon and they were in dark bluish color cloak. They were standing at the middle of the village looking around and many villagers bassing by them greated them in very friendly way and so they did.
Alice slowly walked towards the village to get inside and one of the guy among those cloaked men spotted him and shouted, "Stop right there—only if you love your life. "
Alice stopped, without taking any step forward.
Alice asked, "Is there any problem? "
Only that cloaked man was looking at him while other checking other areas.
That cloaked man said, "You are not of this village, am I right? "
Kids stopped playing and looked at Alice. Many villagers stopped their work and looked at Alice. Women started walking faster and went inside their house. Some even called their kids back.
Alice said, "Yes, I am not of this village, why is that? "
That cloaked man said, "Then, first let me check you. That weapon you are carrying, it is something we don't promote here. "
Alice looked at his black blade and said, "It is none of my concern whether you promote it or not. I am not going to abandon it. "
That cloaked man was carrying a battle axe behind his back. It was pretty amazing. Mostly golden with few blue strips kinda pattern on it.
He started walking towards Alice with 2 more cloaked men carrying a sword and a dagger.
Now there was only the fence between Alice and those 3 cloaked men.
That battle axe man had a scar on his face which was so big that it started from the part of his forehead right above his right eye, and continued diagonally—passing through right eye and nose to his neck.
While the other two men wore a mask while walking towards Alice, the mask was purely white with no kind of pattern on it but only the area for the eyes to see ahead.
That battle axe man looked around the age of Alice.
He asked Alice, "What is your name? "
Alice asked, "Why should I tell you? "
He replied, "Looking at your condition, I assume you don't have any food on yourself—neither water to survive. Am I right? "
Alice said annoyingly, "So what? "
He replied, "So I suppose, you need them soon and you are probably here to trade it for money, right? "
Alice replied, "I am. "
He said, "So then, you must state your name. "
Then he grabbed his battle axe, draw it and said, "Or you must leave or be read to die. "
Alice draw his blade and said, "Alice... Alice Lusifer. "
Hearing his surname, that guy got kind of scared and swinged his battle to cut Alice's head.
Alice leaned back a little to dodge it by an inch, put his right leg on top of the fence, the other two men draw their weapon and swinged them on Alice, but Alice, he used that fence to jump higher and jumped in the air and crossed them.
He landed behind them and that battle axe used turned around rapidly while swinging his battle axe.
Alice could hear footsteps from behind.
He thought, "His teammates are coming too. "
Alice crouched and dashed and cut that battle axe user's right hand from which he was holding onto his battle.
It went flying and fell outside of the village.
All the villagers came in panic and went inside their house.
The other two men turned around quickly, using their sword and dagger, they attack on Alice but Alice dodged them all and turned behind to see the other men too.
But they were just standing at one place now.
Those two men attacked again and Alice blocked their attacks using his black blade but then, the battle axe one used his left hand, picked his battle axe back again and launched a heavy attack on Alice.
It was a vertical swing.
Alice placed his blade right above him and blocked that strike. Their weapon collided and Alice could feel the below and the amount of pressure his single hand was able to apply on him.
Those other two men closed in on Alice again, seeing Alice busy holding back battle axe user, they launched a rapid attack on Alice.
Alice used both his legs and pushed himself back, barely dodging the battle axe by half an inch.
Alice said, "Now that was a close one. "
But then, the villagers opened their door and those two men stopped at their place along with the battle axe user.
Alice turned behind to see the houses of the village and from each house, man of the house came out, wearing that dark bluish cloak, with a weapon on their back and that white mask.
And then, that battle axe user said, "Welcome outsider, welcome to the Village Of Warriors. "
