Chapter 214 - Chapter 214: The Difference Between the Extraordinary and the Basis for Peace Talks

"I can explain!" Seeing the Hulk walking towards him step by step, with such a fierce expression on his face that he looked like he was about to swallow him whole, Spider-Man stretched out his hand, making a gesture as if everything could be discussed. But the Hulk wasn't going to give him any chance to explain.

Betty was his only weakness, and now Spider-Man had actually snatched Betty from his hands. To use an old saying, this was simply seeking death.

Spider-Man also seemed to realize this, because the Hulk had no intention of slowing down. He ran faster and faster, actually managing to create the momentum of a thousand soldiers and ten thousand horses by himself. Everything in his path was being destroyed, the earth was trembling, the ground was tearing apart, and everything blocking his way was being blasted away. All of this seemed to be telling Spider-Man that he had provoked someone he shouldn't have.

But it was too late. Spider-Man knew very well that there was no room for recovery. So he could only take Betty and run.

With a long pull of his web, he swung with Betty towards a distant tall building. Seeing all this, the Hulk was not pleased. He roared, and the rolling airwaves even made the surrounding air vibrate. Then, his body suddenly squatted down. The muscles in his legs began to gather strength and explode. The next moment, the entire ground was like a terrible explosion, the soil under the Hulk's feet immediately began to roll and surge out, and his body was like the most terrifying cannonball, taking off from the spot and blasting towards Spider-Man's direction.

Seeing the Hulk flying over like that, Spider-Man was scared out of his wits. He quickly pulled out another web, adjusted his direction, and narrowly avoided the Hulk's pounce from above. Then he noticed that the building he had targeted began to emit all sorts of exaggerated sounds.

Hank crashed through a window, and then that entire floor began to make all sorts of sounds like explosions. A huge amount of smoke and dust, mixed with countless debris, shattered all the windows on that floor and poured out endlessly. Even if he thought with his backside, Spider-Man could guess that this floor was completely finished, and it must be a mess inside. However, he still held a glimmer of hope, perhaps some wall would be a little stronger, allowing that rampaging green giant to suffer a bit.

But the figure that burst out of the rolling smoke and dust proved that he was clearly daydreaming, and when he saw the Hulk jump again, he wished he could punch himself twice. Why didn't he retreat when he had the chance, why did he have to stay here to watch the show and court death? And now he had no chance to escape, because the Hulk was pouncing on him again.

"Someone save me!" Spider-Man, carrying Betty, swung to another building again, shouting loudly in his heart. And this meant that a terrifying destroyer, the Hulk, was still following him. The buildings he targeted generally wouldn't have a very good ending, because after Spider-Man swung past, there would inevitably be a big guy to give it a thorough renovation.

Spider-Man didn't know when this would end; he only knew that if this continued, he definitely wouldn't be able to hold on.

Meanwhile, up in the sky, someone else had also reached their limit. That was the Hulk's sister, the She-Hulk Jennifer. And her opponent was Dawn Knight Zhou Yi.

To make Jennifer understand his painstaking efforts and, incidentally, to make her sit down obediently and listen to his explanation calmly, Zhou Yi dealt with her using rogue-like tactics.

He threw Jennifer into the sky, where, because she lost the ground beneath her feet to exert force, she could only use less than five layers of her strength. Coupled with an abnormal sense of balance and mental issues at high altitude, she could only utilize less than half of those remaining five layers.

The sky was never the giants' home ground, but for Zhou Yi, the sky was his home ground. He was much more at ease in the sky than on the ground. Because he could fly, and he flew very well.

Furthermore, his strength was much greater than Jennifer's, and his speed was also much faster. So, in this environment, Jennifer was practically at his mercy.

He first took this female giant on an ultra-high-speed vertical takeoff and landing over a straight distance of more than ten thousand meters, then took her to play Thomas full circles and invincible fire wheels in the stratosphere, performing complex maneuvers that challenged centrifugal force. Although he didn't increase the speed beyond the speed of sound for Jennifer's psychological well-being, even so, this torment was too cruel for Jennifer.

Although Jennifer now possessed the capital of a Superhero, she lacked the matching mindset. She had the strength of a giant, but mentally, she was still Jennifer Susan Walters, a Mortal with ordinary human emotions and thoughts.

She would fear, be afraid, and compromise, unlike her brother Bruce, who, once transformed, would only become a warrior dominated by anger. Therefore, after Zhou Yi repeatedly tormented her with the same method for about twenty minutes, she finally chose to surrender.

"Stop, stop. I give up!" When she once again dropped from three or four thousand meters to less than five hundred meters, she started to scream. And with that scream, her body quickly stopped in mid-air. At the same time, Zhou Yi also appeared in front of her.

"What, you're finally willing to talk to me calmly?"

"You damn scoundrel, shameless bastard!" A look of hatred began to show on Jennifer's green face; being played with in this way was simply a humiliation for her.

"Uh, are you sure you're talking to me like this, or do you think everything just now wasn't enough?"

For such baseless curses, Zhou Yi still preferred to refute in the most direct way, and after hearing his words, Jennifer wisely chose to shut her mouth.

"Very good, listen to me, lady!" Controlling Jennifer's body so that she faced him directly instead of talking to him upside down, Zhou Yi began to explain his intentions.

"You should know that I intended to help you all from the very beginning, but I feel your emotions are a bit too extreme. Don't rush to speak, let me finish."

"Although I was entrusted to find Bruce Banner, after seeing his detailed information, I negotiated a condition with those people. If they want Bruce Banner to join them, they must obtain Mr. Banner's consent. If Banner doesn't agree, I will step in and take him to a safe place. All of this is predicated on Mr. Banner's opinion. In other words, the initiative is in Banner's hands."

"And your performance really surprised me. I don't know what you're thinking in your hearts, but don't you yourselves feel that it's too arbitrary to label me as an enemy like this? If I were really your enemy, believe me. In that office, you would have been subdued by me long ago." Zhou Yi said, pointing at her and then at himself. "With all due respect, you can't stop me at all. Now, do you have anything to say?"

Jennifer stared at Zhou Yi for a long time before speaking in an uncertain tone.

"Can you swear to what you said?"

"I don't believe in God, nor in any deities. But I can swear on my own honor that what I said is true." On this matter, Zhou Yi appeared very sincere, and just as he said, he was here to solve problems, not to create them.

"Alright, I'll trust you this once. And I can help you persuade Bruce and them. But I hope you can keep your word." Jennifer finally relented, indirectly admitting her mistake. As a woman, doing so was not unacceptable. Zhou Yi tentatively accepted her apology.

Of course, this was only because she was a woman and had the right to be tsundere. If it were a man who dared to be so difficult with him, he would definitely let him know how many colors there are in the World and how many stars humans can see.

"Very good, madam. What is your name?" Zhou Yi began to look directly at this female giant, who was several inches taller than him. Now he needed to know her name as the start of their cooperation.

"Jennifer Susan Walters, you can just call me Jennifer." Jennifer gave her name, and Zhou Yi immediately said,

"Then, Jennifer. I will now take you back to the ground, and you will need to help me persuade Mr. Bruce Banner. I will arrange for him to meet with those people. As for the outcome, it's up to you."

"Deal!" Jennifer nodded decisively. As a lawyer, she found no problems in it. The more concise something was, the less likely it was to be wrong; this was a lawyers' maxim.

"See, it's very simple. If you had listened to me from the beginning, none of this would have happened." Zhou Yi complained, and just as he finished, a report came in that there was a communication request. He agreed to the communication, and soon Coulson's voice appeared in his ear.

"Where are you?"

"I was just negotiating with the female Hulk, and we've just made progress!" Hearing the urgency in Coulson's tone, Zhou Yi replied. "What happened? Your tone sounds off!"

"The situation has changed; the Hulk has started causing destruction in the city. Spider-Man is trying to contain him, but it's no use. Also, another monster is heading towards Broadway Street; his destructive power is on the same level as the Hulk's, it's incredible. pal, no matter what you're doing right now, hurry back, we need you."

Coulson hung up after speaking, clearly overwhelmed. Zhou Yi's expression also became serious.

"Didn't Banner lose his ability to transform?" He asked Jennifer, and Jennifer's reaction was the same as his; she knew nothing about it.

"What happened?" Realizing something was wrong, she began to press for answers.

"The Hulk has appeared and is destroying the city. Now I have to stop him."

"That's impossible!" Jennifer muttered to herself, then immediately grabbed Zhou Yi. "Take me with you, I'll go with you."

Zhou Yi nodded. He grabbed Jennifer and rushed towards Broadway Street at top speed.
