Chapter 261 - Chapter 260: God Withdraws, the Radiant King Appears

Even if billions of people praised it, billions of people prayed for it, and billions of people remembered its glory and grace, one fact remains unchanged: compared to the sun, it is still pale and fragile, still powerless and insignificant.

The Earth's Sun has been illuminating it for over three billion years , bringing it countless life and energy. And countless Suns throughout the universe do the same. Nothing can speak of the magnitude of existence when compared to the Sun , and nothing can rival the value of existence when compared to the Sun.

It is the source of life , silent, and needs no sound to prove its magnificent existence. Its glory is sufficient to explain everything; a splendor incomparable to any light obtained through contrived or invented means.

Therefore, when Jehovah , whose authority had been shaken , wished to change an irreversible truth and exercised his authority over Karma against the incarnation of the Glorious King Zhou Yi , it was already his destiny to endure everything.

Its authority was utterly shattered, on the verge of collapse. That was a minor problem; the truly terrifying thing was the corrective extinction stemming from the laws of the Universe .

The law of karma has always been a double-edged sword. Initially, Jehovah held the hilt of the sword and didn't feel its sharpness. But now, with the blade touching him, it's too late to regret.

Countless karma had accumulated on him ; he couldn't bear it, nor did he have the strength to. When he lost the support of his authority, the reality distorted by karma seeped into his body like poison.

Jehovah has begun to forget some things. Very important things. Things more important than his power and authority. How he showed his miracles to mankind when he first came down to mortal world, and how he left his legends and myths to the world .

Gods don't forget everything they've experienced. If they truly had forgotten, it would mean those things no longer existed. Their existence would have been erased by twisted Karma , meaning everything they did for thousands of years was in vain.

This was something Jehovah always wanted to avoid . But so far, he has been unable to prevent any of it from happening.

"No, no, no! I am the Father, the most supreme God. You cannot do this to me, you cannot! I command you, turn back, turn back."

From the sphere of light into which Jehovah had transformed, the final command of divine magic emanated . This was his last effort. His depleted divine power could no longer direct the authority of Karma, which was almost at the point of collapse . But the divine status of a God, when consumed by it, could accomplish this step.

Ultimately, divine power is the power that stems from a God's divine status. And a God's divine status is the true source of God's power. To use an analogy, divine power is just the water, authority is the pumping device, and divine status is where the water is stored.

Now that his divine power was exhausted, Jehovah had no other choice. He had no choice but to shatter his divine status and use the power from his Source to revive his fragmented authority . But this would cause irreparable harm to his Source .

But he had no other choice.

Jehovah , God, Lord, and Father, is the supreme God of a divine pantheon. His divine status among the earthly gods was also among the highest; therefore, when He burned His Origin , infinite divine power was unleashed. This precious divine power flowed into His fragmented authority, and under His will, He began to change everything that happened to Him.

But it couldn't be changed. The reality that had already been created contained too much Karma ; it was no longer something his power could alter. Forcibly changing it would have led to the direct collapse of his authority and a further deterioration of reality.

Therefore, he could only settle for the second-best option. He began to harness the power of Karma to counteract the corrective force of the rules . This time it had an effect, but it was pathetically small. He retained his status. He retained the influence he had built up over millennia. But he could not retain his power and those glorious miracles.

In a place unseen by anyone, deep within Jehovah's Spirit , the authority of Karma became a blurred Shadow and slowly faded away within his Spirit . And that was not all; the authority of Rebirth , the authority of the sacred Fire, the authority to perceive and know all things; the authority to bestow blessings and power upon others, and the authority to judge darkness and heresy were also stripped from his Spirit .

Its power was shattered, one could even say it sank to the depths of the Earth's core . While it retained its existence and the pantheon of gods it had meticulously built over countless years, it paid a heavy, irreversible price.

This price was paid both by him and manifested itself in the entire real world .

That day, all people on earth who believed in God experienced a tremendous spiritual shock. It didn't matter if you believed in Catholicism , Christianity , Protestantism, or Eastern Orthodoxy; as long as you sincerely believed in God, as long as God was in your heart, you all felt at the same time an inexplicable panic, an inexplicable fear, and an emptiness from the depths of your soul .

It was a feeling of faith being shattered; difficult to put into words, but undeniably present. And that was only the manifestation in the mind. The real-life manifestation was far more shocking and unbelievable for those who believed.

That day, whether it was the great cross atop the church or the small ornaments worn on the body; whether made of wood, metal, or other materials ; whether it was a cross bearing the image of Jesus or simply a Catholic cross, they all seemed to have suffered immense damage and were split in two.

That day, all of the Vatican's cathedrals collapsed as if struck by an earthquake.

Whether believers or non-believers, everyone realized a problem that day. If there really was a God, then something must have happened to God. And when this problem was understood, the entire Western world was shaken to its core.

The single god who had dominated the minds of Western people for nearly a thousand years had contented himself with announcing his tragic fate to the world as his only modern miracle ; indeed, he was a little too pathetic.

But this was a problem Jehovah could not hide . With twisted karma , fueled by power , everything related to him would naturally elicit a corresponding reaction.

What consequences this reaction might lead to was not something Jehovah needed to consider . He had only this option, and he could only accept this option.

Undoubtedly, this choice was unacceptable to Jehovah . However, he had no choice but to accept it. Moreover, he had to make further sacrifices on top of this already very heavy price.

Because the Bright King , the embodiment of Zhou Yi, was still there and had no intention of rescuing Jehovah from this situation.

After the two punches, Jehovah looked at the wretched state of himself and Heaven and realized that he was no equal opponent at all.

Although she harbored deep hatred for Zhou Yi in her heart, she had to accept this reality.

According to him, the best course of action at the moment was to retreat safely. However, retreating wasn't so easy.

At that moment, the Bright King occupied nearly three dimensions . His feet were in Lilith's Red Sea , where half of Lilith's Hell resided . Half of his body was in the spatial dimension that the Witches had built upon Lilith's divine power for centuries .

The remaining, greater half—his entire upper body— was in Jehovah's Paradise. A body encompassing three worlds ; only a giant God like the Bright King could possess such immense power. And it was precisely this immense power residing within this vast body that compelled Jehovah to make a decision.

Having no power to oppose the Bright King , Jehovah had to make a choice if he wanted to survive. And the object of his choice might be this Paradise, already divided and irreparably shattered.

Like the Demon Kings such as Lilith and Mephisto , his realm, Heaven, had bestowed upon him immense power. While not the source of his existence , this power was a vital part of him. If it were possible, he would never consider leaving Heaven. Not even a part of it.

But this was impossible; the enormous body of the Bright King lay there. With his control over the power of the Void Realm , the present Jehovah could not drive him out. He was more repulsive than any invader, and he had rendered Jehovah more helpless than any invader.

If he wanted to live, he had to get away from the Bright King, seize Heaven, and escape completely. And to escape, he would have to leave the Heaven section where Zhou Yi was located.

Even if he didn't want to, he had to make a choice. And Jehovah had already made his choice.

He resolutely left half of Heaven where the Bright King resided, taking his share and silently fleeing to the infinite Void Realm. The Void Realm contains billions of dimensions ; once he escaped there, even if he possessed the Bright King's abilities, he would be unable to find him.

Finding a drop of water in the ocean is impossible unless you can detect its existence. Even if the Bright King could detect it, Jehovah was ultimately the Lord of the heavens , and when he fled, he had already eliminated all the power the Bright King left behind, making it impossible to track him down.

Since he wanted to escape, he naturally wouldn't leave any trace.

The Bright King had no way of following him, nor did he need to. Jehovah was no longer in his sight, and even if he were to reappear, he would pose no threat. Zhou Yi, now fully endowed with divine power, was absolutely certain of this.

Moreover, he now had a major problem to solve.

The separation of half of Heaven meant that the dimension in which his upper body resided was irreparably shattered. Although Heaven, under Zhou Yi's Void Realm power, was barely stable and held in his grasp, it still presented him with a significant problem.

When Heaven was destroyed, the Witches' World naturally couldn't withstand the colossal body of a God like the Shining King. In an instant, that dimension completely shattered. And Lilith , even before the Witches' dimension disintegrated, wisely closed off her Hell . Since there were no other dimensions to share the burden, that place couldn't withstand the Shining King's presence either. Therefore, she didn't need to sacrifice herself.

This also meant that the Bright King, the God incarnate of Zhou Yi, had suddenly appeared above the Earth . A colossal being, as tall as a celestial pillar, standing atop countless floating clouds. Its fiery head stretched into the atmosphere—what a sight!

No one could describe it. Because countless people had witnessed its presence at that moment and were in indescribable shock.
