When Luke got home it was late and he didn't care about that fact as he walked into the house and went straight to his room but was stopped by his father and mom.
"Luke hon, my baby..... You got me worried" his mom said as she ran to meet him
"Am ok mom am safe and I was with Nathaniel" Luke reply with a tired face.
His dad just got up and started walking to his room "good night both of you"
"good night dad" Luke said with no expression on his face. His dad didn't look at him nor replied him.... He just kept up walking up to his room.
His mom hugged him and smiled at him "you got me worried, but I should know that you are all grown-up now. My big boy" and those words put smile on Luke's face as he hugged her back before saying "love you mom, and you don't have to worry about me" he broke the hug as he looked at his mom's face "am hungry, like hungry hungry" he said as he made his way to the kitchen with his mom after him "your food was kept in the cooler so you can warm it up with the microwave" his mom said as she brought out the food from the cooler and gave it to him to heat it up.
Later after the heating up he sat at the dinner table with his mom and ate with silence in between them... "mom I think am gonna have to do something to keep myself busy for awhile" Luke says as he looks up to his mom starring at him with eyes wide open "you mean you found something you wanna do to while away time???" she asked
"yes.... And I want you to support me on this"
"Am all ears, what do you wanna do" she sat up right
He put his spoon down and took a deep breath "Mom I want to start a tutoring class since am good with educational work and stuff cause that is the only thing am good at..... So what do you think" he looked at his mom awaiting her response
"son I've always been proud of your decisions and this just made my love for you rise up even more..... It is great I support it with my whole heart and I know you can pull it off, if there is anything I can contribute to your work don't hesitate to let me know ok" Kate said as she made her way to her son hugging him again "always remember am always here for you"
"yeah I know and thank you for supporting me on this mom you're the best, but for now I don't need anything just yet or may be there is..... Am going to be coming late home on Fridays since I would be having a tutorial right after school and I might need to get home" he said expecting her to have an unruly face but instead he was greeted with a warm smile
"you are telling me you need a car right????" she asked with a brow raised
"yeah I suppose" he answered unsure about his answer
"then I got you covered on that, you can have gramps car for the mean time or for long since he wanted to give it to you for your birthday but I guess you can have it early" his mom replied with a smirk on her face as if teasing him
"really, but gramps bought that car last year and he drove it out like twice and he really loved that car. Mom hope no leg pulling????" he asked with a face that hoped all this was real
She nodded and said "the keys are on the keyholders shelf you can get it and you can have it but promise me you'll take good care of it"
"yesssss, mom I will." he declared as a promise as he ran to the keyholders shelf and took the keys since he knew the car keys very well and ran back to kiss his mom on the cheeks "love you. You're the best" he ran with his ice-cream up to his room never really finishing his food.
"take it easy so you don't fall down the stairs...." Kate screams after Luke "I won't mom" he screams back to her as he backed his door "what a sweet boy" she commented as she clears the table ready to get to bed.
As Luke fell on his bed he pulled out his phone as he typed to Nathaniel as he eats his ice-cream
FROM LUKE:
@LUKE: hey, get dressed up before I get to your place tomorrow by 7am alright.... Same location right.
And he sent it to him and he saw a reply from Nathaniel so fast
FROM NATHANIEL:
@NATHANIEL: yeah same location but why the early dress up tho????.
@LUKE: its a secret but just get dressed OK.
@NATHANIEL: ok lukey, hope you got home safely.
@LUKE: yeah am in bed now just getting ready to sleep so later Nate and see you tomorrow.
@NATHANIEL: ohhh come on give me something lukey.
@LUKE: no Nate good night.
@NATHANIEL: alright good night lukey.
And with that he switched off his phone and charged it while also turning on his laptop to watch anime 'black clover' while he ate his ice-cream the night was going to be a long one for him since the excitement couldn't let him sleep.
.....
The next day Luke was the first to get up and rushed to his bathroom to get ready for school while his mom went down to prepare for before going to get ready for work.
Luke rushed down as fast as he could reaching the dinner table before anybody else.
"good morning mom" he says as he took his seat waiting for his meal to be served
"good morning to you too, you are up early..... Hope your night was good????" she asked Luke who replied her immediately "am good that's for sure but I didn't really sleep But as for me being up early got to take the car for a test drive before getting Nathaniel".
"ohh right you still remembered Nathaniel, you can do what you like but don't trash the car...." she looked scary just by saying that to Luke and he felt uncomfortable with that. "I won't screw up or trash the car"
"what car.... I've been hearing you two talk about it last night but it was just a little bit" Blake said as he did some stretching as he came down the stairs with his eyes still sleepy.
Turning to look at his brother "it is non of your business frog face" Luke insulted him before continuing eating his meal.
"Mom what the hell is this shit...." blake as getting offended as he fully stand at the table before taking his seat.
Mom just shrugged it off as he served the other food and replied "it was gramps an not me..... Blake".
"Luke got a car!!!!" Blake screamed...
"Luke got a what????" Tia asked as he stood there looking at her siblings "gramps gave Luke his car.... I wanted to have that" the star twin was complaining about this situation and becoming an ass to his twin who didn't give a fuck about the two of them.
"done mom.... Got to go, see you later"
He get to hug his mom as she says "take care son and be home quickly"
"will do mom and I will be back for what we discussed last night it starts today so..... I will definitely be back early" he announced as he made for the door.
He got into his new car. Thank God he had a driver's license which gramps forced him to have even when he said that he was too young to have it. "the sit is just as I remembered, sweet and comfy too..... Now let's get this baby on the road" he said as he kickstart the engines riding out the garage.
He dialed Nathaniel's phone as he drove down the street to Nathaniel's place
"hello, lukey..... What's up" he says as he picked the call
"oh hello, Nate am driving to your place now but the directions are a bit glumy" he said as he waits for the other guy's reply
Nathaniel laughs out loud like he just watched a funnymemes video "where are you at" he asked in between laughs.....
Luke was a bit offended by the nasty laughter of Nathaniel "what's so funny Nate, am a bit lost just by looking for your place and you fine it amusing to you" he seemed pissed with his statement
"ok ok ok, am sorry if I pissed you off a little. But you know you could just on your GPS to trace me down"
There was a sign coming from Luke's mouth "I totally forgot, don't you worry I'll ne there in a jeffy. Just hold on" he says as he turn on his GPS... He found the direction and steps on the brakes to move as fast is he can.
Within minutes he was able to get to Nathaniel's place blowing his car horns to signal Nathaniel that he was already there...
It took a few seconds for Luke to see Nathaniel walking out the door with his mom hugging him goodbye to school. When they were done with their sentiments Nathaniel's mom waved at Luke who just nods to her in respect as Nathaniel made his way to him.
"Hey, yoo..... What a sick ride" Nathaniel says as he hugged Luke when he entered the car. The other couldn't know why this hug made him all flustered but he tries to hide it by saying in a causal tone "good morning to you too Nate".
"sorry I got all distracted and all but bruh, this ride is sure sick we get to have turns right"
There was a sign geared from Luke 'how do I keep getting all flustered by this idiotic person' he thought... "can't, promised mom that I will take care of the car. And beside giving you the wheels will be me digging my own grave so no can do" he replied Nathaniel while he starts the engine and drove out the driveway going to their school. Who says a fifteen year old can't drive.
"ah men you no fun at all, am even more suited to drive am eighteen already and you are fifteen... Please" Nathaniel complained.
"yes but I have more experience than you and besides I rather not give you the wheels than giving it to you and die from an heart attack. Am just being cautious because I know who wide you were when were still kids and am still seeing it in you so no and suck it up you big baby" Luke said as he looks left and right before driving forward to avoid accidents.
"but you drive like an old man and it seem so boring here"
"I said suck it up Nate.... Now end of discussion next topic please ok," after a brief moment of silence Luke opened his mouth to say "I told mom about the tutorial I would be holding and she's in full support"
"really, that's good... Now you can do what you like and get some extra cash at hand, sounds great right. I never knew that Kate loves you to fully support you in this" Nathaniel sounds really happy.
"you've got to be kidding me, cause you don't have any idea of how she loves me" Luke laughs as he talks.
The two of them laughs till Nathaniel switches on the radio tuning it there their favorite songs channel with both of them singing along the songs as they drove to school. The car ride was filled with screaming as Luke and Nathaniel tries to sing. Nathaniel was a very bad singer but Luke sang surprisingly well which challenge Nathaniel to try to sing well but it didn't go the way he wanted it to. The drive was fun for them...
